At the close of Bishop, Larry Lakes was informed that Van, Robby and Urail, the young men Larry mentored as boys in the church’s youth ministry, were charging him with sexual molestation. They plan to take him to court, make public his abuses against them, and sue Larry for all that he has. In Bishop 2, Larry does not take being threatened lightly. His latest novel, THE MILLION DOLLAR DECEPTION is the sequel to THE MILLION DOLLAR DIVORCE.
In June of 2009, RM threw his ring into the non-fiction ring with WHY MEN FEAR MARRIAGE.
The book was eye opener. I heard priest raping kids, but actual black preacher is as sick as them. Sooner or later would the Bishop rape his own son. The women he had never knew that side of him until the end. I'm glad those young men exposed him as a sick man. Sorry to see that the young men will never lead a normal life for the damages he has caused them. I hope in the next chapter the Bishop gets life for all the pain he caused.
Bishop 2 by RM Johnson continues were book Bishop 1 leaves off. The main characters Urail, Robby and Van are seeking legal charges. Bishop is determined by any means necessary not to be held accountable. The story is very good and well developed. I loved it. I am happy the boy's pursued legal charges and disappointed with the outcomes. Van’s storyline is very sad. My favorite character is Robby for his strength. My least favorite character is Shreeva for her co-dependency; as well as, Marian for her denial. I did not like the how the story ended. There are grammatical errors. Overall, this is a very good read and highly recommended!!
I enjoyed Bishop & Bishop 2 as I have all of RM's books. The subject matter was a little hard to take but it was only relating to things going on in real life. I wish it had ended differently. I wanted Bishop to pay for the things he had done to the boys. Not to be set up for something he didn't do. But the little twist was good in its own way.
Bishop 2 picked up right where Bishop 1 left off. I didn't like how it ended, because I really want to see Bishop get what is he deserves. Also there were way to many grammatical errors in the book, but oter than that the story was good.
this second installment was very good. picked right up where part one left off. this book keeps you on the h red edge throughout. Great job Mr. Johnson!
Bishop 2 was a page turning, past pace book gorillas me. I really enjoyed the story, never a dull moment. I am giving the book 5 stars because it good throughout, but it had too many typos!
Awesomely riveting!!!! I read this book in two days... I couldnt put it down. Fast paced, drama, consequences, pain, retaliation, and everything in between!
Book two in the series, and it did not disappoint. Not everyone who claims to be a pastor or bishop is from God, and This character is no exception. Phenomenal.
