Meet Jackson "Jax" Harding, lead singer of the rock band Dirty Louisiana. A wickedly good-looking playboy with a mischievous smile, a body that screams I’m-going-to-take-you-hard-against-the-closest-wall and stunning blue eyes that make you think that he can see right into your soul and impregnate it. He’s the kind of bad boy your mother has warned you about. Obviously, the type that you fall for anyway.
Women throw themselves at his feet and what kind of man would he be if he didn’t treat them to a good time or two? Relationships are perfectly okay as long as they are short-termed and there’s no label put on them. All he needs is someone to share his popcorn with, keep his feet warm at night and change body fluids with in every wicked way he can think of.
Meet the first trio of the Rockstar Stud’s Amy, Hayley and Alex. What can you expect when Jax meets women who aren’t the easy groupie type but whose panties fall off all by themselves anyway by the sight of the sex-on-a-very-honorable-sized-stick rock god? A little bit of wit, kink and smartassery. A hell of a lot lust, desire and passion. Welcome to the sinful world of Rock ’n’ Roll. Enjoy the ride, it’s going to be a bumpy one.
Three short sexcapades, three lucky women and the one Rockstar that gets his pleasure anyway he demands... Rockalicious was a bedtime treat, something easy, sexy and kinky to read to break up the heaviness of my current reads.
A little bit of wit, kink and smartassery. A hell of a lot of lust, desire and passion
This is what I would imagine a Rockstar's life actually is like, different town a different woman... but no judging please, there are no promises made other than mind-blowing pleasure... Out of the three I have to say my favorite is Alex's story, that was HOT, but each one brought a different level of sexiness and fit my mood perfectly!
ARC kindly provided by the author, in exchange for an honest review.
This short book of 3 short story stories stars the same main man who likes sex and likes to get his way, the 3 ladies have no trouble giving him what he wants.
It was ok, it was as described 3 sexy short stories.
Rockalicious is a series of 3 short vignettes that give readers insight into the behind the scenes sexual encounters of Jax Harding, lead singer of the rock band Dirty Louisiana. The three liaisons explored illustrate the extracurricular activities that rockers might experience on any given night. Sweet words are not exchanged; in fact, dirty talk is really the only type of conversation allowed. First and last names aren’t required. It’s all about the experience…exploring each other’s body and getting the required release. Each tale features a different woman: two who Jax actually already knows and one who he just meets. Their interactions are brief and purely sexual. Basic information is known but nothing more.
The novella is an interesting idea; to me, it explores the times before the reformation of the rocker manwhore that readers see in many storylines. You can truly tell that the only thing Jax wants out of these encounters is sex, but two of the stories seemed to have underlying complications that aren’t explored; I’m sure they’re not meant to be either, but I found it hard to see past what happens afterwards. I like to feel even a bit of a connection between the characters, and it’s hard to because of how quickly their time together is over. But, in terms of the sex they have, it's definitely steamy!
If you’re looking for a quick, smutty read to take you away for a bit from heavier reads, pick this one up and see if Jax can get you as hot and bothered as he does his three conquests ;)
Complimentary copy of the text was provided by author in exchange for an honest review.
3/3.5 poison apples (The Fairest of All Book Reviews)
So I received this book in exchange for an honest review. It's a good start for a first book, however it needs a bit of work regarding grammar and relationships between the main characters. Definitely needs longer chapters to be able to develop the characters so there is a better connection with the readers and the story, especially when you want to have 3 mini stories in the one book. The sex scenes were fairly hot however I felt very detached from the scenes and felt a bit disappointed due to the lack of connection between the main characters. I would look forward to reading a full novel from this author :)
*I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads*
This was a VERY quick read, full of erotica. Due to the shortness of the story, there isn't much character development. BUT this story isn't meant for character development - it's meant to be a series of erotic encounters (which it successfully is!). One man, 3 separate women. If you're looking for a break between novels, or in between series, this is the perfect quick read.
I received a copy of this book in place of an honest review.
I didn't really understand how the author could say that you shouldn't expect a HEA when you read this book until after I got to reading this book.
Jackson "Jax" Harding is the lead singer of Dirty Louisiana. I didn't know how much the band name fit Jax until I started reading about what he does to women. He is a horn dog and uses women for his own pleasure. I'm not saying he gives them nothing in return but you think he would settle down.
This was a very erotica book and it will leave you wanting more because it will be so hot. I can't wait to see what this author will write about next.
I have one word to describe this book... HOT... That sums it up perfectly. There are three rather short stories in one book. Each one focuses on Jackson with another woman. There isn't much build-up before they get down to business.
I don't know enough about Jackson to know whether I like him of not. Yes, there are three different women in the book, but I have no idea what the time line is. Three women over time isn't a big deal. Three women in a couple days.... can you say man whore???
No matter my feelings toward Jackson, I did enjoy each story individually. This is a great book for those interested in quick, hot reads.
This short is three separate, non-connected sexual encounters of Jackson "Jax" Harding, and as long as you have the right expectations when starting to read Rockalicious, then I’m sure you’ll enjoy reading it. There is no depth to the character development, but there doesn’t need to be for the stories to be hot and steamy, and I fully enjoyed reading each one (esp. Alex, my imagination really got away from me with her story). If you’re looking for a quick escape that will get your pulse racing, then I would definitely recommend reading this.
I received an e-copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.
This contains the tales of three of Jackson's sexual liaisons - we learn a little about why he knows them, rather than the women just being groupies. The writing style settles down after the first encounter and is easy to read. This is perfect filler between novels, without investment in the characters.
I will look out for the longer story that this author promises she is writing.
If you are looking for a complete book this is not it. If you’re looking for character development and angst – you won’t find it here. If you’re looking for a quick erotica read then BINGO! We meet Jax and his 3 “girls”. These are women that are involved in his life for various reasons with whom he has regular sexual liasons. Rockalicious is what I call an “assist” for your BOB. If you’re looking for something quick and hot to help you get off – this will do that for you. Alexandra V keeps it hot for sure!
One rocker. Three separate woman. This book is what you would think happens for rock stars on any given night. No real character development but I guess for a quick read it won't be. The erotica factory is there though. Some hot sex scenes definitely. If you are looking for a quick hot read this fits the bill.
Hmmm where to start?? Jackson "Jax" Harding is a hot little number. Rock star, model, sexy, experienced and hot as hell!! This was a book of short skits with Jax and his conquests. They all want him, luckily for them it's mutual and they get to enjoy his expertise plus he theirs. I look forward to reading more by Alexandra and more from her studs!! No one under 18 should read this book and 4.5 stars have been granted :)
If you're looking for a quick, steamy, hot read, this is the book. There are a few minor editing errors, but I easily overlooked them. The story line is great. I'm always greedy and always want more. I would have liked to read more about each of the stories. But what we get is great.
Jackson "Jax" is basically a man whore. This book has 3 stories about his hot, steamy, lust filled fun, with 3 different women. I'll be checking out the next book, when it's out.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. It's a quick, easy read about Jax, the lead singer of a band that is too sexy for his own good. He gets the women he wants with little to no problem and has amazing sex. The three girls are all different but get lucky in the end.
I do feel the book needs so more proof reading as there were a bunch of grammar errors. She instead of he sort of thing.
It you are looking for a HOT quick read this is the book for you. Rockalicious is a series of novella about Jax Harding, lead singer of the rock band Dirty Louisiana. Dear Lord, he likes sex. He likes it hot and dirty. I gotta say, I read this one a plane and I am pretty sure I was blushing the entire time!
When I say a fast read, I mean fast. This book is 40 pages of straight up sex. No back story, no depth. Just sex. If you wanna read about crazy monkey sex... get this book!!
I was given this book by the author in exchange for an honest rate and review.
It's definitely a quick and steamy read. Jax is the main character and he has three women that he has very hot sex with. There is really not any character development, but I do not think that was the focus anyway. :)
I give this book a 4/5.
I would definitely read more from this author. This is a great book if you have some spare time and want a quick read.
The descriptions in this erotic romance was explosive, very detailed. The author did a great job with her 40 page erotic romance. I didn't like that Jackson was just a man slut. Honestly, it jumped a little to much for me.
I'm not going to give a summary, but just know that if you are looking for some hot sex scenes, this the way to go.
LOL we were warned! A short sexy read. Well, more like 3 short reads really. I'm enough of a bookworm to really wish there was more substance to each story. Everybody loves a bad boy (don't they?) and I wanted to know more. I'll look forward to the full size novel.
HOT HOT HOT.... I usually go for the happy ending but I LUV this short stories... I think of the three I like the second one the most... I LUV the way he goes and takes what he wants... Is so damn sexy... *swoon* I can't wait to read more!!!!!
Three really hot sexy stories about Jackson's encounters with three of his fans. As we've been told this is three really quick stories. I'm looking forward to reading the longer version:)
This book is a good quick read. Three shorts stories all about the Alpha male that wants what he wants and plans on getting it! Jax is sexy! I enjoyed the stories and will look for more to read from Alexandra!
I love any and all rock star books so I was excited to check out Rockalicious by Alexandra V. I knew going in that this was a short story so I wasn’t necessarily looking for a long drawn out story or any real character development but I also wasn’t expecting a mash up of various random sexual escapades with no storyline to connect them whatsoever and a main character that I found to be repugnant and repelling.
As far as storylines go, there was none. The first encounter was with the personal assistant so when Jax is on the set of a photo shoot where he meets his next hook up I at least expected to see or find out what happened with the PA but there was no mention of her at all. There was nothing that connected the three stories. They were just that, three separate distinct random occurrences with no rhyme or reason as to why they are chronicled, what point in time they occur in or what relevance they have. Also, the main draw for me was the fact the Jackson is the lead singer of a rock band. With the exception of a few references to being on tour or picking up groupies, this never entered into the story. As far as I was concerned this could have been a book about any arbitrary attractive guy who just so happens to get laid on a regular basis.
Ok so maybe he wasn’t just your standard run of the mill guy next door. No he was much more than that. He was an egotistical ass who genuinely believed that he could have any woman that he wanted at any time who has really no redeeming qualities besides his good looks. I certainly never expected to get into his back story but it would have been nice to at least like the guy.
This isn’t to say that the women were not ready and willing. The problem is I couldn’t even get into the action when he is downright demeaning and demanding. The way that he talks to these women is not dirty talk, its degradation. While I know that many people are turned on by and appreciate being called names while in the heat of passion, I couldn’t find myself considering it this way when he barely knows the woman and therefore couldn’t possibly be attempting to turn them on. These qualities don’t make up a hot alpha male they make up a inconsiderate jerk who, although he seems to please the women he is with in the end, is primarily motivated by his own needs and desires.
To say I was disappointed in this book would be an understatement. Long or short, quick or involved, I expect an enjoyable book to have likeable characters with an interesting story. Rockalicious had neither.
I am not big on reading books that I can't give three stars or more to. So this is a really tough review for me to write. But here's the thing, I don't feel like I can give this book a rating of any sort. I wouldn't even know where to begin. It has the sex scenes down pat and those are steamy, but beyond that there really isn't a plot or a storyline so I can't even give you a breakdown of the "story" itself. Yes, there was a warning in the synopsis, but I don't need a story to have huge hearts and flower kind of relationships, I was ok just knowing it was lust. But I wasn't expecting three quickies with no story at all.
There is a bad boy rocker and the first part he is with his bitchy assistant who just gets under his skin and nothing she does is good enough. Well except when he tells her he doesn't like her because all he wants to do is have sex with her. And they have sex.
The second part is with a model and she is smoking hot and they might as well have had sex right in the middle of the photo shoot. They didn't, it was right after...
The third story was a repeat visitor who he calls when he is in town. She goes to visit them and they have sex.
This is a tough one to write a review of because it is three sex scenes, same guy, three girls. There is no story or character development of any sort and it is a very short read. And if you read the three paragraphs above you get the idea. Now if you want just sex out of a book, then this little quickie is perfect for you. But if you want a story with characters or a plot that mean something, then I wouldn't stop at this book.
I got this book when the author told me about it and it was free at the time and the synopsis sounded interesting enough so I thought what the heck. I truly wish I could have been more supportive of it. But there was nothing to this book and it had no substance. A few hot sex scenes and it was over. I think the writing was great, but that is really hard to judge in this short of a read. I think the author shows promise if she can develop a story line to go with it but it just lacked everything that a story needs. I didn't like the main character and the secondary characters weren't around long enough for you even to get to know.
I am glad it wasn't 350 pages of sex with different women. I probably would have had a DNF on the book, but the rating would still have been the same.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This is going to be short but sweet cuz what else can be said?
Hot, sexy, quick read, and holy cow what a man whore.
I’m more into the rock stars who find their way to that one woman and redemption, but Jackson strikes me as more of the typical rock star, easy lays, good times. Writing is awesome, scenes are hot, the girls are easy for him to get his way with.
This is a perfect hot steamy read for those nights right before you go to bed and want to have some sexy dreams.
Even though I’m part of the blog tour, I got my copy when it was free on Smashwords. I was too excited to wait for my copy to arrive. So glad I did.
