Doraemon, a cat robot, traveled back in time from the 22nd century to watch over Noby who’s a good kid but terrible at sports, never studies, and has an incredible capacity for slacking off. Doraemon tries to help Noby with nice but often unpredictable gadgets from his 4th dimensional pocket as Noby’s clumsy and always getting into trouble. Can Doraemon solve the problems and change Noby’s fortune for the better?

About the author

Fujiko F. Fujio (藤子・F・不二雄) was a penname of Japanese significant cartoonist Hiroshi Fujimoto. After leaving his native home for Tokyo, he started his drawing career collaborating with his partner and long-time friend, Abiko Motoo who later held the penname Fujiko Fujio A. Their co-penname was Fujiko Fujio, which became well-known in Japan and in many countries. Fujimoto and his companion became briefly students of the greatest Japanese cartoonist Osamu Tetsuka.

Fujiomoto saparated from his buddy in 1987 due to a cancer, and took the penname 'Fujiko F. Fujio'. He still released his many volumes of 'classic' manga which inspired numerous children and becoming adults all around the world.

He died from the effect of liver failure.

Di manga 'Doraemon' vol. 2 ini, sebagian besar kisahnya sudah pernah saya tonton di TV, beberapa di antaranya berjudul "Test Memorizing Toast", "I Love Roboko!", "Horror Story Lamp", dan "Truth Doll". Lantas, dengan membaca kisah Doraemon dan Nobita ini membuat saya bernostalgia dengan tayangan TV yang disiarkan setiap Minggu pagi. Sebab, Doraemon adalah kartun yang selalu saya tonton ketika masih kecil. Sedangkan saat ini, saya sudah jarang menonton TV dan lebih suka membaca.
