In book five of Galactic Cage The Sledge Hammer is one tough, mean, and very huge fighter for the Galactic Cage Fighters Association. He doesn’t take crap from anyone and if a person makes the mistake of pissing him off, they pay for it—painfully. He prides himself on being able to handle any kind of situation that arises. He is unafraid of anyone or anything—well except for the kids.

A terrible tragedy leaves the halfsie fighter the sole guardian of his sister’s children. His life is about to be turned upside down and inside out. No longer responsible for just himself, he must find a way to balance working the hectic schedule as a top GCFA fighter—with being a single parent. He finds that it is not as easy as he thought. How much trouble can three young children be?

Molly Maynard is ready for a fresh start. The divorce she has been waiting two long years for is finally within her grasp. She wants a new life for herself, free of her lying, cheating ex-husband. When she ends up homeless, jobless, and with limited funds available to her and with few choices remaining, she agrees to take a job traveling with the Galactic Cage Fighters' Association as a nanny for one of their fighters.

Hammer expects the usual nanny the company sends for replacements—the stuffy, uptight, old, and half-senile. The nannies never last long around his kids. He doesn’t think the newest nanny will be any different. It’s a real shame because Nanny Molly was hot! He needed this nanny so he was imperative he keep his mind and—his hands—off the nanny and her curvaceous body.

Will Molly be able to ignore her growing attraction to the enormous fighter? Will Hammer be able to keep his relationship with Molly strictly business? And will either of them survive the kids?

Hammer is KD Jones fifth book in her Galactic Cage Fighters series. Each book can be read as a stand alone book but the series does feature recurring characters.

In Hammer, popular cage fighter Hammer needs a nanny to help care for his nephew and two nieces. The kids have scared away other nannies but luckily Maya (from book three) recommends an old friend Molly who needs a job after her ex ties up her condo in a divorce settlement.

I really enjoyed this story. Hammer and Molly were great main characters. Zen is hilarious in his match-making attempts. Loved how most of the characters from previous stories were mentioned. The subplot with the ex was interesting but the main focus of the story was definitely on Hammer, Molly, and the kids. Highly recommend!!!

Loved It. I was really looking forward to Hammer's story & I was not disappointed. Hammer, a strong, caring giant of a man who loves & cares for those close to him who is instantly taken with Molly. Molly, hired to care for Hammer's sisters children. She is loving, compassionate, and caring towards others. She is instantly attracted to Hammer and have but she is weary because of her ex. The kids test her daily but she falls in love with them and Hammer and wants what everyone wants and thats a family. This is one of my favourites in this series so far although there were a some spelling mistakes, I hope people take the time to read it!

Sweet love story

This was another good addition to this series. This was a sweet love story for Hammer & Molly, because of having 3 children around. They had to be a little more subdued. It didn't take away how HOT they were together. There was still conflict and humor like all the other books. Well worth reading.

I have not read any other books in this series but it did not seem to make any real difference to the story. I look forward to Zen's story though :)

Good story but it felt a bit understated to me. The passion was there but I wanted more of a story about Hammer. I would have liked to have got to know more about him.
