A seasoned forensic surgeon shares the experiences he has encountered as part of his profession. Arranged in chapters, each narrating a case/autopsy that the author worked on, the book provides a diverse selection of real-life stories. While it is an exciting read for those who like detective stories and the like, the book also reflects the sorrows and cruelty of fallen man. The author has expounded well on the technical aspects of each case in a manner that can be easily comprehended by a layperson, with suitable pictures. Throughout the book, the author reminisces and appreciates the people (often, police officers) who worked with him on different cases, which is a refreshing aspect of the book.

Dr ബി. ഉമാദത്തൻ എഴുതിയ അദേഹത്തിന്റെ ജീവിതത്തിലെ ഓർമ്മകൾ വായിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഒരു ക്രൈം ത്രില്ലെർ ബുക്ക്‌ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ സിനിമ വായിക്കുകയും കാണുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന പ്രതീതി ഉളവാക്കുന്നു. ഭീതിജനകമായ, അറപ്പു തോന്നുന്ന, ഞെട്ടിത്തരികുന്ന ഈ സംഭവങ്ങൾ കേരളത്തിൽ നടന്നതാണെന്ന് വിശ്വസിക്കാൻ പോലും കഴിയാത്ത അവസ്ഥ ഉണ്ടായി. ഒരു ഫോറെൻസിക് വിദഗ്ധൻ തന്റെ ജോലിയിൽ എത്രത്തോളം ശ്രദ്ധ നൽകുന്നുവോ അത്രത്തോളം തന്നെ ആ കേസ് വ്യക്തമാണ് എന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം അടിവരയിട്ട് തെളിയിക്കുന്നു എല്ലാം കേസുകളിലും. ആദ്യമായാണ് ഒരു വ്യക്തിയുടെ ഇത്രത്തോളം ത്രില്ലിംഗ് ആയ ഓർമ കുറിപ്പുകൾ വായിക്കുന്നത്. വായിക്കാത്തവർ തീർച്ചയായും വായിക്കുക.

To be honest, in many parts I was not completely convinced with the facts mentioned by the author. This made me deviate slightly from the narration and i found the book boring at times. This also made me question my trust in the author. Though towards the final part, i regained my interest in the narration and it was overall a decent read.

Nice one.... There is the scientific point of view of various murders suicides etc. some of the incidents I felt ended abruptly but really nice work. If some drama was added to these incidents it would have been more attractive to the layman.
