i learned so many things I never knew about each prophet from Joseph Smith to Ezra Taft Benson. It's a book I would like my grandchildren and great-grandchildren to have.
I enjoyed reading these short biographies of the prophets. They were very interesting and helped me to get to know our church presidents. The book was probably written for children. The language is quite simple. I would suggest using it for Family Home Evening. An 8-10 year old child could prepare a lesson from it easily. However, I can't see a child just sitting down and reading it through. It was published in 1996, so ends with Gordon B. Hinckley.
I'm trying to do some background research for a project I would like to start and really enjoyed these short biographies of the latter-day prophets. I thought the one about Joseph Smith was geared a little more to older children, but the other ones have been written more clearly for younger ones. I've really enjoyed it. Overall, I love her writing.
I am using this book again to teach my Sunday School class this year as we learn about the Latter-Day prophets. It has so many great stories about each prophet.
