Lily Sky is the queen of dystopia series. Kareem has waited to become a Venari, a hunter of ubir, following in the footsteps of his big brother. He has finally joined the training program and made the leader of a ragtag group. Unfortunately, Venari are going missing. Great writing and intriguing plot. 5/5 stars.

This was an absolutely thrilling book. I totally enjoyed being immersed in this world. This is the first book that I have read by Lily Skyy but it certainly will not be the last. Wow, what a gift the author has for storytelling. She grabbed me from the beginning and I held on for the ride. I absolutely cannot wait for the next book in this series.

I enjoyed this new Rhapta story where introduced to a team of teens who want to be Venari. This is their intro to the life and the trouble they are so good at finding. They learn all is not quite as they thought and must learn to work as a team. Made me laugh and groan but enjoyed the story and characters.

Rise of the Venari(The Rhaptaverse Chronicles #1) by Lily Skyy takes place five years after the new queen ascends the throne. Kareem is now training to become a Venari and during that time one of their trainers go missing and he and his training team go search for him and other missing Anunnaki. I definitely recommend this book and am looking forward to reading the next book in the series

Fantasy realism books are hard to find and this book was wonderful! A great story with interesting characters, I look forward to the next book.

I’ve read all 5 books in the original series (The Hidden Prophecy Series) and this book imo is the best one yet. We finally get to really see Rhapta, their people and their culture. Honestly, I would recommend reading this book and this series first before reading The Hidden Prophecy Series. Although you might be confused about what happen 5 years ago, the world building in this book provide you better understanding of the world.
