A hiking trip with her boyfriend turns into a tragic late-night news episode when Dana is pushed off a cliff, only to land in the lair of a two-headed beast. At least, that's what she's pretty sure she saw without her glasses, but that's impossible.
Taken by surprise, Rathym watches her scramble away. Every fiber of his being demands he captures her, but the enchanted letter from his homeland will fade away any moment. There's been a break in the case of his closest friend, who was assassinated two centuries ago, and he will not miss the murderer's reckoning.
As a 5-centuries-old dragon who strictly follows tradition, he knows she now belongs to him. He will not allow his most enrapturing treasure to stray very far. When Dana is inevitably dragged back to his lair, Rathym battles the unnatural desire to take her as his mate. If his homeland has embraced interspecies mating, why is he still so afraid to open his heart?
Wounded with no way to escape, Dana's grumpy, possessive captor cares for her in a way she's never known. As they both fight their battles for justice, she sees a gentler side of the ancient beast and wonders if he's been right all along. She does belong to him.
Fallen for the Two-Headed Dragon is a binge-able standalone in the Freedom, Love, Monsters series.
This book contains: - Abducted trope - Praise - Magic lube - All holes filled - Size difference - Primal play - Fancy peens - 3rd gen immigrant rep - Monsters that look like monsters
TW: Mention of death & grieving over lost loved ones
This was a fun read, more spice than plot, with grumpy sunshine vibes. Dana was all about climbing Rathym like a tree shortly after finding out dragons were real after falling in his cave. I mean, I feel like I’d be a lot like her. A possessive giant dragon insisting I belonged to him now? Yeah, that’d do it. She got him out of his depressive spiral and he helped her find her voice. One of the plot points had a foggy ending, but most were clearly resolved.
Spice: 5/5
Triggers: pushed off cliff, emotional abuse, kidnapping, captivity, power differential during sex, corrupt police force, judgy parent, execution, discussion of genocide, grief, animal attack, fire, pressure to become pregnant (not from MC)
This book is more spice than plot which isn't really my thing, but I know some people who would really enjoy it. I think if you're looking for an insta love monster romance with high spice then it may be one you enjoy!
I’m going to be honest. I didn’t plan to read this book. I was not impressed with the 1st book in the series, mostly due to the author’s style. So, I was gonna skip the rest. But I made a fundamental mistake. I grabbed my Kindle for a trip I knew would leave me waiting in the car for an hour, forgetting that it was a new one and I’d downloaded almost nothing. Literally, the only thing downloaded from the cloud that hadn’t already been read was this book. (I imagine I downloaded it and Married to the Mahr at the same time.) So, there I sat with very few options but to read Fallen for the Two-Headed Dragon<\i>, and let me tell you, I was no more impressed with it than the previous book.
Never have I seen an author set up an interesting element in a book that was as poorly utilized as Rathym’s two-headedness. I mean, sure, the two peens get plenty of play. But the two heads…none. Past the midpoint in the book, I started to wonder if he only had two heads when in large dragon form but not the bipedal human-ish form. But I didn’t know. I DID NOT KNOW. Halfway through the book, I did not know if the character had two heads all the time or only some of the time! I never knew. Having two heads is of so little importance that I didn’t even know how to visualize the character. The heads don’t speak individually. He doesn’t seem to use them separately. There is nothing to indicate his two heads have a point.
I’ll be further honest: I skimmed the book’s last third, especially the sex scenes. There was so little plot, and I was so bored. I didn’t want to DNF because I dislike DNFing books, but I wanted to be done. This author seems to have conceptualized ideas that look like they should interest me, but the way she writes is a no-go for me.
small & short reads. at first, I hated that it was in third person perspective, but it ended up being a cute short read.
overall, it was an ok book. a cozy read, it had little fillers, but the dragon himself whom I forgot his name.. was cute. a little grumpy clingy sweetheart.
I've had a hard time rating this book so I'll just leave a review for now. There were quite a few things that didn't work for me as a reader and didn't hit what I particularly look for in a story.
It hit a lot of tropes though, which was nice to see, even though I wish there was some more room in the book to expand upon some of the things that were mentioned.
The tension between Rathym & Dana was definitely spicy and lucky for me, it wasn't a slow burn. They didn't spend too much time denying themselves and pining for each other and the steam picked up fast. I enjoyed that there really wasn't much drama interfering with their relationship, the drama that was present was easily surmountable because of their devotion to each other.
It was also great seeing Addison and Traeyr show up in this book, connecting it to the first in the series.
I'm definitely excited for the next entry in this series, Collected by the Crow and will continue following this author as they continue to release new content. Fingers crossed we start getting some more information on the lore of these realms we've encountered in the first 2 entries in this series.
The FMC annoys me so bad. She gets shoved off a cliff, almost dies, and then just... Calls an Uber, takes a shower, and goes to workforce? Not the police or the hospital. Her arm is bent at an awkward angle, she's missing a huge chunk of skin off her leg, and then she just magically heals her arm overnight? On top of that... Most of the things that were built up, left me a bit disappointed. I was hoping her ex was some ancient evil wizard that wanted her to have a dragon baby to use for nefarious deeds, that the villainous dragon that committed the ancient crime wasn't the right person and it was all a trick to keep him away from his mate while they spirited her away. The fact that she really couldn't get pregnant was a bit of a disappointment, but I will say this: It was deliciously spicy. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Who doesn't want to fall into a dragon's lair and become their treasure (because everything that falls in is then the dragon's treasure)? This was a pretty cute monster romance novella. Very fast past faced and not very plot serious. There are some serious topics (attempted murder and murder) but it's mostly about our two main characters and their attraction to each other. This is especially so with the dragon with his *double* assets and I'm not talking about his heads (also the size difference that requires magical lubricant); The spice is pretty good. Honestly it's a great time and fun vibes.
This was a quick read with plenty of steam, little relationship drama between Dana and Rathym, and a group of tropes that I certainly enjoyed.
The one thing that confused me from the start was when Dana had fallen off the cliff it sounded like she really did some damage to herself. Although it was a hard and long fall, she seemed to almost bounce back with a force that made it seem less severe than I expected. She also didn't seem as fazed at the time, with the ex who put her in such a state until way father into the story. I loved everything else.
Another 3.5/4 Star read I loved the tie in with the previous book! I also loved that despite finding her “fated mate” Dana hadn’t given up on her child free life style. (Yes I know that technically they couldn’t have children even if they wanted to. But it was nice that she hadn’t changed her mind and started to yearn for children, ya know?)
Overall a pretty good and fast read! I like that the author delved into the Main Male characters backstory more, but I hope that maybe in a future book we can see more about what the elves were like before everything went up in smoke!
I wasn’t sure where this story was going to go when it started out between humans on a hike but so glad I stayed to find out! This is a hot little book with some interesting anatomy! 😂 A two headed dragon and a two headed dragon! I loved seeing the grumpy old dragon becoming young and full of heart once he found his mate! I loved the world building.
Such a great story! If you are a monster lover definitely give a read.
This was a nice story. Watching the grumpy dragon become well less grumpy and go back home for a visit, hell even moving back home for a visit was so cute. I do wish I understood the reasoning for her being pushed off the cliff. It seemed to literally come out of nowhere. I understand that she needed a way for them to meet but maybe tripping would have been better. Just my personal preference. It was a good story overall. The meeting just felt like a staged reality show.

Allowing someone to love you can be a daunting challenge. Opening yourself to new ways of thinking, having different perspectives on traditions and realizing what’s important is part of the process. This read embodies the journey. An enlightening and encouraging recommended novella.
My first read of Delilah Dare’s writing and I am left satisfied. I do not read much fantasy these days, preferring lesbian love stories. This story did keep me entertained. I am not sure I will read more for a while but I do feel for those that enjoy this type of story it is well written enough to recommend it.
This is a very good, well written, paranormal monster, Dragon/Human romance. The characters are interesting and lovable. Dana doesn’t want children but her bf does, so he try’s to kill her. Rathym has been hiding in his cave for 200 years mourning. Dana lands in his cave and he claims her as a treasure. Read and learn how each helps the other grow. Enjoy.
Well, this was a book. The author needs an editor because the inconsistencies within the writing were glaring and constant. It says Two-Headed Dragon in the title, but other than one or two throwaway comments, it was completely unacknowledged. The devil (and apparently the second head of the dragon) is in the details.
A book about a young woman who stumbles into a dragon lair after being pushed down a mountain by a”boyfriend “ He claims her as one of his treasures and the fun begins.
The first chapter my brain was trying to be captured and it did eventually! Absolutely love this couple, I’m actually glad it ties to the first book, this is definitely stop and go read type of book!
Two forms, two hearts, and two…um…appendages. Yep, very interesting story indeed. Creative combinations of lore. The dragon is dynamic and well-developed, even more than the FMC.
A sweet and super spicy read that I will definitely recommend. A cantankerous old dragon meeting his fated mate and the two “falling” for one another pretty quickly is always a recipe for greatness. Dana and Rathym’s story I will definitely re-read and I hope you give it a chance!
This book was entertaining. Rathym and Dana are a couple that took this from slow burn to a dragons inferno. I love that his is a grumpy and stuck in his way dragon who learns to grow through the love he shares with Dana.
I've read a lot from the author and this one has to be one of my favorites. It was a cozy read that had me kicking my feet and giggling several times. I enjoyed the dynamic between the two main characters. especially when her dragon swoops in to scare half the town to make sure she is safe.
I enjoyed the spice in this book so much, the use of Rathym's tail make it extra 🌶🌶🌶 Dana puzzled me a little bit, she hardly seemed to care that her ex just tried to kill her. Overall, it felt like a simple but spicy, fated mates HEA.

The plot is a bit thin but it moves quickly and has a nice level of spice to it. It would be nice if there had been more back story- there are lots of hints to a wonderful broad world of dragons and the elves they were to protect. Perhaps the author will use this book as a spring board for a new series. As a lovely book of smut it’s a great read
