It helps one a lot when going abroad to study. I am a Brazilian Scientific Mobility Program (BSMP) student from Federal University of Maranhão currently enrolled at Southern Illinois University. Even though being a medical student, once I arrived from Brazil to the United Stated, I felt that I should start know better cultural issues to make myself feel more comfortable; fortunately, I did it very well.

This book is very well-written, with a good combination of practical tips, cultural guides, and anecdotes from former study-abroad students. I would recommend this to anyone who plans to study abroad, or any study abroad advisors.
