Beautiful and intriguing paranormal romance about two teenagers whose love is so special that nothing can keep them apart - not even time. Iris and Nate have dreamed of each other all of their lives. When they meet by chance in an abandoned house, they discover that their dreams were more than fantasy - they are soul mates, destined to be together. But someone or something is watching them, determined to tear them apart. Will Iris and Nate's love be strong enough to survive the test of time? Particularly suitable for struggling, reluctant and dyslexic readers aged 12+

I love this author's work so I was ecstatic when I won a copy of Soul Mates from the publisher. I knew it was going to be short and it was a perfect read that broke up my own writing nicely.
Taking about only half an hour to read I don't want to say much besides it is a quick, easy read that was engaging. The romance element is sweet and everything flows nicely. Standing at 86 pages, I was glad I won it as, although I love this author, I'm not sure I'd spend £6.99 for the amount of story you actually get. I'm really hoping the next two will be priced more reasonably because I love this author and would like to continue reading Nate and Iris's story.
I quite enjoyed this short little story, even though I am not the target audience. This is written for people with dyslexia or perhaps people who struggle with reading. The text is widely spaced and with no overly long or complicated words.
I enjoyed the Angel trilogy that I read by the same author, so I initially picked this up, thinking it would be along similar lines - I just did not expect it to be only 84 pages! It's quite a nice little story about Iris and Nate, who have been dreaming about each other all their lives, and finally meet "in the flesh". It has some paranormal aspects to it, and an intriguing little twist.
It's maybe for the slightly older child, whilst some teenagers may find it frustratingly simple, depending on their reading level. There are some kissing scenes, which younger children may describe as yucky.
I am unsure if I will go on to read the rest of the trilogy, as they seem quite expensive for what they are, incredibly short books. I would have liked to have seen the story adapted/expanded for an older audience, but unless the third book comes down in price, I think I will just skip the rest.
A good, quick read with an interesting topic and tone. Especially good for someone like me, who’s just getting into reading in English (as it’s not my first language)
Honestly I loved this book. It's well written (as well as dyslexia friendly), it's short and it's just a lovely story. I thought it was just simply a really nice story. I like L.A Weatherly or Lee Weatherly a lot and I suggest if you like the writing style in this book but want a longer one read her Angel series; it's a great read. Anyway I just found this book to be an easy read and couldn't find fault so I am giving it 5 stars.
Recommendation: I recommend this book to people who want a simple read. Maybe just a quick one or if your starting to get into reading, it's quite simple but has some words to widen vocabulary. I'm dyslexic and dyspraxic and had no problems with it (I am only a mild dyslexic and dyspraxic).
The one criticism I have is I think it's a bit too expensive for a short book (£6.99 from waterstones)
This story was fairly average. The main reasons I decided to read were that it was short, simple, and seemed to contain some fantasy elements. I needed a book that was not too demanding for reading backstage when I had a lot of downtime in the second half of my play. This book fit the bill. The writing isn't bad - parts of it are quite compelling. But I guess because it is so short (85 pages) it is unsatisfying as a novel. The twist I saw coming, but this is written for younger readers. The villain with the well as its base is also very Ringu. The romance is also a bit nauseating, but with a book called Soul Mates you would expect that. So although the story is fairly forgettable, the book is easy to digest and it served its purpose for me. I am sure younger readers will enjoy it.
I loved the idea of this story and I really liked the characters as well as the writing style; its just disappointing that its so short. The 80 page novella means it feels like I haven't actually read anything. This had so much potential, the characters and their back story could have been developed much further, their conversations could have been experienced by the reader and not just told about and the climax could have been delayed. It was just too rushed and it was disappointing for me as a budding writer to see such a great plot idea going to waste. overall I give it three stars cause in concept I loved everything about it; in practice it lacked something I can't place.
Kind of disappointed about this one :-/ It was pretty cliché ... and way too short and superficial. I loved the Angel trilogy however and still think L.A. Weatherly is an amazing author, but I think she just needs a bit more than 70 pages (in a very large font, so actually more like 50) to work her epic story magic! This might be a nice book though if English is not your native language and you want to ease into reading in another language!
I was really disappointed by Soulmates. I love L.A.Weatherly's Angel series and was hoping for this short novella to be as good.
The story is interesting but its really confusing in parts. I understand the need for suspense but it just didnt feel right, structure and pacing wise. :-(
Beautiful short story. It claims to be dyslexia friendly and I can see how it would help. Lots of realky short paragraphs and a nice friendly font. if you need a recommrndation for a young person whos a little unsure then give them this book. I would have loved reading it when I was younger.
i choose this book because i read the back and it seemed really interesting, i also choose this book by its cover, i enjoyed it and its a book i would read again :)
I read the three books from the mini series it had and loved it I finished reading them in less then 24 hours and wished the was a series of like 10 amazing just wonderful love it
