There are many things that go bump in the night, and I am one of them.
As a wolf, my hate towards Hunters was born from fire and blood.
I know all too well the brush of death others only speak of in hushed whispers. It marked me and every day since I have fought to prove myself. To be the strongest, the best wolf in the Red Mountain Pack.
To live up to my family name.
Until one night, one trap, one chance encounter changes all that.
Thrown into the middle of an ancient war I have no choice but to fight for those I love but war takes casualties, including people's souls.
If friends can become enemies… what can enemies become?
I guess we will find out before the moon is full.
Welcome to the Court of Beasts, where wilderness prevails.
I'm reviewing the audio version of this book since that's how I consumed this book.

This book follows our female main character, Quinn, as she battles against a sect of monster hunters who are encroaching on her lands. The hunters cause her to experience several tragedies as she finds her mates in the thick of it.
You also meet our male main characters (brothers Lucien and Vale along with their hunter partner named Jai) as they begin to question their allegiances while fighting against Quinn's pack. This forces them to go head to head in a spectacular battle that will leave them all questioning their reality.

OMG, I was not expecting to cry as much as this book has made me cry. I was literally sobbing during my shift at work, which I was not expecting. I feel like this book deserves every star I can give to it just for this reason alone.
I haven't been affected by a book this much since I was in school and that's definitely saying something. I'm definitely looking forward to the next book in the series, though it might take me a while to get to it.
I feel so bad for Quinn, honestly, since I lost my own father in December 2015 to a sudden death. I can't imagine losing both my biological father then losing my father figure on top of that. I would have spiraled really hard after that. She's much stronger than me.
I applaud the men for questioning everything they believed in since childhood and coming out on top after the battles. I can't imagine going through that either. I'm shuddering right now at the thought. I would hate to go through something similar.
Yes, I'd obviously recommend this book. I'm waiting for the audio version of the two remaining books in this series before I continue with them, though, especially if I become as obsessed with them as I became with this one. We'll see.
“I have far too much to do before then--like becoming the Red Mountain Pack’s Alpha, the strongest pack in all of history. I will be the first and only female alpha.”
And, again, KA Knight knocked another Courts & Kings book out of the park! Court of Beasts is set around the same world as the previous books but it is centered on the Red Mountain wolf pack, which has Jang as alpha, and Quinn as his daughter. Quinn has had a traumatic past and suffered the loss of people very close to her and whom she loved more than anything at the hands of the Hunters. After that tragic event, she tried her best to prove she deserved to be part of the pack and could lead them all into a better future. Everything she did was for the pack, she helped and thought of everyone before thinking of herself and when the hunters' threat gets closer than ever before, her loyalty and strength will be put to the test. The hunters, Vale, Lucien, and Jai, were raised in the hunter world, where they learned to hunt and k!ll the monsters that hunt innocent humans. However, somewhere along the way, the senior hunters stopped thoroughly checking the threats to make sure they were eliminating the bad monsters. These three men will bring forward a change in that outdated thinking, but not with a lot of sacrifice first.
This book was absolutely amazing! Filled with action, fast-paced, and a LOT of smut, it was perfect for me. I could not put it down and I devoured it every time I could. I also was absolutely sobbing by the end of it so bad that my husband came to ask me what was happening. Whoever reads this book will know which part I'm talking about, oh my god, I was destroyed and my heart broke so badly for all of them. The ending though, the reward he got for what he did was beautiful and he deserved that more than anyone. I also loved how there was mention of Althea and the new hunter boss, Angel, and how the queens are all rising and will be the ones to bring forward the change their world needs. Anyway, I loved this book, as I do each of Katie's books and I'm so thankful I got to read an ARC of it. Now I'll be patiently (or not so much) waiting for the next book, Court of Heathens, especially after that epilogue.
Tropes in this book: - Bad*ss FMC - Enemies to lovers - Reverse harem - Blood play - Possessive/protective mmcs - Dark paranormal fantasy romance - a LOT of spicy scenes
“Fuck.” He groans against my lips, the sound husky and so fucking sexy. “Why do you taste so good?” He licks my lips, rubbing himself against me. “Like the freshest fruit. Forbidden.” He nips my lip. “Do you taste that sweet everywhere?” “You’ll never find out,” I tease, nipping his lip again. “Want to bet, she-wolf?” He murmurs before deepening the kiss.
“Good girl, you’re doing so well, she-wolf. Shit, you should see how you’re taking us both. You are stretched so wide for us, your greedy little cunt leaking around him. Does he feel good, Quinn?” She nods, but I grip her head, yanking it up with a snarl. “Use your words, she-wolf.” “Yes, yes, he feels good.” She groans. “So good, please.”
“I caught you, my prey. Now I can eat you,” I murmur, “like we all wanted to do in that cage.” Her heart skips a beat, and her legs tighten around me as I smirk, pricking her skin with my fangs. “You want to be fucked, Quinn. You want to be used, tied up, and forced. You want to be dominated, and that’s exactly what we are doing, baby. Now, be a good little prey and scream for me.”
I know I say this every time but K. A. Knight could do no wrong. Everything she writes is just 🤌🤌🤌
I'll start off with Quinn. She is just another in a long line of badass, independent, and really remarkable FMCs that we have come to know and love. Only this time she's a freaking werewolf. I love that she was highly regarded in her pack and you can see why. All throughout she has unwavering loyalty and love for them. She was willing to sacrifice herself to save others, and it did nothing but make me love her more. She definitely deserved the spice 👀
The ✨️men✨️. What's there really to say? You mix a monster with three broody monster hunters and you get some pretty epic fireworks. Right from the beginning amidst you know ACTUAL TORTURE there's sparks that fly. A lot of care went into their backstories. It definitely made you more sympathetic to their more jerkish ways, but honestly if they weren't as broken as she was this really never would have worked.
It's just everything you could want. There is really engaging world building, a twisty turny plot that is exciting but not rushed, SPICE, and characters that feel so real you want to cry right along with them.

wow…i didn’t expect to SOB in this book, like legit hyperventilating, WTF. this book was amazing. the FMC changing the 3 MMCs made this story so much more interesting. a monster mated with 3 monster hunters?!??!! they were FIRECRACKERS! & the world building was perfect, it really made you get so drawn to their world.
Quinn: our badass, independent, confident beta soon to me alpha, werewolf. she’s remarkable really. the amount of shit she not only went through in the present time but also in the past?!!! my heart burns for her. she’s so fkn strong. i loved how highly respected she was in her pact & you can see why. she has a heart of gold. her loyalty and love for her pack is unwavering. she was willing to sacrifice herself to save others and do whatever it took to make sure everyone was protected. she’s a true alpha. i loved watching her open her heart to the hunters. those 3 men are everything she needed, they brought such light to her life. their love for eachother is unmatched.
all 3 men were so SEXY! they were hunters on the hunt for Quinn’s pack & ended up kidnapping her. the banter between them all was perfect. i loved how hard they all fought their feelings for her & her for them because of how forbidden it was. and i absolutely loved getting the backstory behind all the men! & watching them open their hearts for her & fight for her, even if that means killing their own people, made me giggle and kick my feet. they are all hot, possessive, funny, bold and intelligent with a dark side. Jai: our broken little psychopath! him being a feral wolf the entire time was icing on the cake. his backstory made my heart hurt. but he’s funny asf! i found myself laughing at the things he said. Vale: is the stubborn one. but saved Quinn when she was just a pup. you can tell he hated being a hunter, they all did. but he wanted to make his family proud. i loved him! Lucien: our possessive golden retriever! he fell for Quinn instantly. he wears his heart on his sleeve.
i am so ready for the next book. this series has me in a chokehold that i never wanna get out of!
fav quotes📖❤️
“In her wolf form, she was impressive. In her human form, she is a knockout.”
“You think you are the hero of this story, but the truth is, human, you are the villain.”
“This is how it should be. Everything happens for a reason, do not forget that. We are gone, but we are not lost. We live on in you and through your actions and stories, and when the end comes, we will be together.”
“Without her, there is no me. Where she goes, I will follow. To everyone else, she is their alpha, but to me, she is my everything. She is the reason my lungs draw in oxygen, the reason my heart pumps my blood around my body, and the reason I speak. She is my entire reason for living.”
“All I care about is that when she looks at me, I feel whole.”
SO GOOD I love the mini mention of Althea at the end (call back to book 1. Court of Nightmares) These books are quickly becoming one of my favorite series. This one’s about warewolves and its heart breaking and full of action and suspense, sexual tension and spice, straight up smut, fighting and gore. Enemies to lovers. Sometimes I felt like was watching a supernatural episode, it’s so vividly written. And can you imagine what would happen if Dean fell in love with a ware wolf? Well read this and find out cause it gave ALL THOSE VIBES. Quinn is a badass fmc, and I love a woman who doesn’t give a F. And these men are hot. AND THE EPILOGUE!!!! I can’t even begin to imagine what will happen, but the impending spice has me on my toes!
You know this emoji where the head explodes, this book is this emoji. 🤯 🤯The book blew my mind and made me cry so much. I didn’t expect to cry. I could not put it down. I was kept on my toes with all the action. The first half of the book is more plot and the other half is more spicy. The progress of the story was so well done. I absolutely love the world-building of the Courts & Kings series. We get a new aspect in each book. This time is the wolf and the hunter.
I loved the FMC, Quinn. She is a wolf, badass, sassy and strong. She fights for her beliefs and when she wants revenge nothing stop her. I loved her bond with her father. The cuteness and beauty of it added a touch of light to this dark romance. I loved the three MMCs: Vale, Lucian, and Jai. They are hot, bold, and intelligent with a dark side. I loved how crazy Jai is. Lucian is the one who is close to his emotions, while his brother is not. However, they would do anything for each other. It's not love at first sight when they meet Quinn for the first time. She gives them a big FU. It’s hilarious. They don't perceive her as inferior. Her strength is more appealing to them.
Family doesn’t define you and you are taught to hate, which are two aspects I love in the book. They understand it while trying to stop a war between wolves and Hunters. The plot twist at the end was amazing.
I highly recommend reading this book.
You will find in this book: 🥲Emotional Moment ⚔️Enemies-to-lovers 🔥Reverse Harem 🖤Dark Romance 🖐️Multiple POVs 👪Found Family 🐺Wolf shifter 🌶️Spice
Thank you K. A. Knight and her PA Courtney for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Shifter romance, enemies to lovers, strong BA FMC, leading men that would do anything for their love, hot times, drama, action, loss and craziness. Need I say more? This book had me gasping, crying, screaming, and fanning myself. In short it was oh so good!
Holy moly roly poly… I am shook. I’ve just got off the emotional rollercoaster and my legs are like jelly. This book legit made me ugly cry at numerous points, I felt so emotionally connected to it; it brought all my feels to the surface.
I have no idea why I felt so overwhelmed after finishing it as I knew this book would be nothing short of amazing before I started it. K.A Knight is a phenomenal writer; her words suck you so deep into the world, it’s like you’re right there in the scene. The world building is intricate and the character development is top notch perfection.
(I’m struggling to pull this review together as my emotions are shot, I think I need a hug 🫠)
‘There are many things that go bump in the night, and I am one of them.’
This book is a reverse harem with wolf shifter Quinn (our FMC) and hunters, Vale, Lucien and Jai (our MMC’s). What happens when you mix wolves and hunters together?
This story will take you on an action packed ride full of thrilling corners, amazing secrets and heart stopping twists.
‘If friends can become enemies…what can enemies become?’
Quinn is self-sacrificing but not in an attention seeking way; you actually love her for it. It melts your heart. I felt a huge connection to her and my heart broke for her on numerous occasions but she put her big girl knickers on and she picked herself back up. I was in awe of her braveness. This lady was everything in one package!
Jai, Lucien and Vale… my oh my, where do I begin? They were dark, they were dangerous and oh so delicious. Each one holding the burdens of the past on their shoulders; watching them develop in their own ways was astounding and perfectly written. I loved them all for completely different reasons, they were very different but similar at the same time. My heart beats for Jai 🖤
Anyone looking for a paranormal shifter romance that gets you emotionally charged and highly aroused, this is the book for you!
This book was amazing, I would recommend it to anyone 1000 times over. Masterpiece!
~ Werewolf Shifters ~ Why Choose ~ Enemies to Lovers ~ Urban Fantasy
I love all the books I have read by KA Knight this book was no different!! I LOVED this book! Even though KA Knight made me ball my eyes out like 2 times in this book! (That rarely EVER happens)
This book follows Quinn (Werewolf Shifter) and Jai, Lucian and Vale (Hunters)... You can see where I'm going with this... Well Quinn is the Beta wolf who is in line to be Alpha of her pack. And she crosses paths with the Hunters... DUN DUN DUUUUUUUU! (I'm not gonna spoil it for you!) READ THIS BOOK!!!!
This had me laughing and obviously crying, and on my toes the whole read wanting to know what was gonna happen next. The world building made you get drawn into their world and get a sense of what it was really like.
All 3 men are different in their own ways. Jai... well he's kind of a psychopath LOL (BUT HE'S MY FAVORITE) Vale is the most stubborn one of the group. Lucian is the Golden Retriever, possessive male and can literally do no wrong. Then there is Quinn who didn't want mates cause she didn't want to have more people that she could possibly lose. And wants to do everything for herself. Which in the end doesn't work out for her with these possessive 3 males that just wanna worship her!
SPOILER WARNING!!!
The DP was CHEFS KISS amazing during her heat! I about melted!
When I pick up a K.A. Knight book, I am expecting unhinged. This book read like a paranormal with a few WTF moments. I know this is a me problem. It’s a good book just not the level I expected after reading book 1.
I will not be claimed this day or any. When I want to mate, I will chase who I want, when I want, but not until then.
One of the fastest, strongest and determined beta wolves within the Red Mountain Pack, Quinn is the adoptive daughter alpha Jang and has a lot to prove if she is to one day walk in his paw prints.
Quinn is already highly regarded within the pack, always looking out for others and never afraid to back down. Including facing off other males, some who would only see her as a way to consume her power if she became the alpha.
Hidden away within the wilderness the pack is safe but, with word of hunters circling nearby the pack are on high alert. Hunters are ruthless, cruel killers and love nothing more than slaughtering the monsters in the night.
So, when brave Quinn sacrifices herself to save a member of her pack, the three male hunters think they have a prize kill coming…only Quinn not rolling over for anyone.
They want a wolf? Then they’ll get one.
No animal likes being cornered or kept locked in a cage. The path of right & wrong can suddenly be overshadowed. Secrets can be exposed, revealing who is the real monster and free your mind from the beliefs you were always told.
In her wolf form, she was impressive. In her human form, she is a knockout.
Val, Lucien & Jai, never knew that their lives were about to change forever once they captured Quinn. She was supposed to be their big trophy kill, they are after all the top hunters and yet they come to admire the woman who glares with a smile on her face within the cage.
Soon, the trail becomes bumpy, unpredictable, threatening and twisted leaving them lost…yet never more alive together.
“Why do you taste so good? Like the freshest fruit. Forbidden.”
This is a sizzling hot adventure trail!
I couldn’t wait to get my teeth into this story with Quinn & the hunters, they certainly didn’t disappoint. I really enjoyed the storyline, it was more than just the wolves & hunters with a lead up then one big drama. You didn’t know how the characters were going to deal with each situation, I loved the bonds that were created within the wolf pack with Quinn & her family. To the three male hunters dynamics and then bringing them all together.
Quinn was a very strong female character that I love, her attitude and how she was able to lead throughout the story. Feisty, leathful, sexy Quinn character was the perfect balance.
Val, Lucien & Jai, were the perfect hunters with a mix of personalities. Each very sexy smoking good looking, slowly showing more sides to each of them and when the time called brutal in fighting for protecting what is theirs.
I loved how this story progressed, it’s a long read with a lot of events happening to keep you reading more and with the hint chapter right at the end I’m looking forward to entering the next Court!
Read if you like 🦋Suspense and action 🦋Urban Fantasy 🦋Enemies to lovers 🦋Badass FMC 🦋Wolves/werewolf
absolute perfection!!! The dialogues, the vibes, the storyline - it’s all wonderful. It’s wholesome and heart-breaking all in one. I adore all of the characters. Quinn now has the title of one of my favourite FMCs.I didn’t know it was RH so that was a nice surprise. The book is full of suspense, action, fighting, gore, magic and romance. And it has a little of zombies too🧟🫠 I loveee paranormal reads and this one didn't have a single dull moment. I never knew what to expect. It’s a definite page-turner. I greatly appreciated the multiple POVs. K.A. Knight’s books just keep getting better and better.
This book made me feel so many emotions, everyone’s childhood story hurt my soul. They all deserved so much better than what they were given but maybe it true that everything happens for a reason bc it seems to be the case in this very book. This book was by far the best in the series and I am assuming by the epilogue the next is witch & god!! But Quinn, Jai, Vale, and Lucien are one powerful bunch, Quinn becoming the Alpha showed she was made of true goddess power. Also I loved loved all of the boys, each of them had their own personalities and it showed in human form & werewolf from. I absolutely ate up this reverse harem book and the whole werewolf thing. Like truly who choose when you can have them all and be a bad bitch!
I enjoyed this book and I am glad I read it, I just think it was way too long. And I knew going in that this was a longer book, but near the end of it it just felt like the book just kept dragging on and on. I think this book has so much heartbreak in it and I don't know how Quinn went through all that she went through. This girl is so tough but at the same time so caring and protective. Vale, Jai and Lucien were great characters and I think they went through a lot too on their own and as a group. This was a slow burn, but it does get spicy later in the book. Overall it was a good book just not great.
Court of Beasts is a wild ride into the wolf pack in the world K.A. Knight has created. Quinn is a bad@$$ she-wolf who finds herself enamored with hunters who have been raised to hate her kind. You already know where this is going...Spice-ville! Lord mercy, the spice scenes were on fire. The action scenes were crazy. And yes, there was a moment that my vision was a little blurry from an emotional scene, and that makes it even better. I never thought I'd get pulled this deep into a fantasy world, but here we are!
Let me start off by saying i truly did not expect to cry as much as I did.
I immersively read this book, and that was the best decision I've ever made, tbh. Reading and listening to this book simultaneously made my reading experience 10x better. KATIEEEEE, COUNT YOUR DAYS FOR NEARLY GIVING ME A DAMN HEART ATTACK, IYKYF!!!!!!
I've been chanting "My man, my man, my man" every time all three men entered the scene, even when they was on some bullshit like kidnapping her😂😂😂
I went through so many different emotions while reading this book. I laughed, but I also sobbed. I got attached to these characters so quickly, and all I wanted was for them to be happy. They clawed their way to their HEA and I couldn’t have been happier with the ending they got!
This book had me crying my eyes out and then jumping for joy so many times. I loved the story, character development, all of it!!! Absolutely loved it! And.. the spice was amazing as always!
This book was a slightly slower pace that the others in this series. A bit slower but still an enjoyable read. The way the author has written the characters has made them interesting and you pick sides and really hope that some people die a very nasty death (well I do anyway), and I got my wish.
It was so freaking amazing and entertaining. Everyone has to read this one
🎀 LOVE STORY
I’m in love with this love story ( ironic isn’t it ) Their dynamic was everything
🩻 EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT
Read this please!
It’s the best one from the series, the first book in this series was so freaking good, the second one was meh meanwhile THE THIRD ONE ( this one ) is amazing 🛐🛐🛐
It is official, K.A Knight can not write anything horrible. This book is absolutely fantastic! I received this as an ARC, and my thoughts and feelings are honest and my own.
Holy moon Goddess!! I ate this book up! This is a reverse harem with our FMC being Quinn and then three men Jai, Lucian, and Vale Quinn is a wolf that has not so much in life, so what happens when hunters threaten her pack? Well, you get a whole lot of action!
This book had me laughing and crying. It got me right in the feels and had me in its clutches from the moment I started reading this book till the very last page. If you like shifter romances and reverse harems, you can not go wrong with this book!
The world building in this book is so eloquently done that it really pulls you into the world, and you feel like you are right there in the thick of it, and I absolutely love books that do that.
Also, oh my goodness, these men! I love each and every one of them, and I do feel that Jai gets a little bit more attention, but not too much to the point where it's extremely noticeable.
