*Audiobook review*
After a few hours of listening to the audio-book; I came to the conclusion that the author hates his readers and wrote this book out of spite. This book punishes you for not know what a system is or what a tower challenge entails. The author spends time, not explaining the setting, plot or the various characters. It expects you to know what the various classes are, what kind of world and the various portal dungeons are and how everything works. The story reads like a 80's wanna be action movie that centers around Asian culture; and of course main character is the chosen one. A blond blue eyed american dude that sounds like Ken from street fighter. Typical, white guy who is keen deep in Asian Culture and just talk about his time being so insightful of the Asian culture; by walking around a katana and giving every Asian guy bows like Steven Segal. It gets better; he is a rich kid but is very sad because someone stole daddies legacy. Despite having a respectable job, wealth, and being "C" grade hunter it's not enough, which is why he is sad drunk to boot all the while cursing the heavens. So the MC gets a 2nd chance and gets his powers...well more powerful upgrade. So he gets multiple boost and extra super powers. This is followed by constant update of his stats and the system keep telling him how OP he is. It gets tiring really fast. The author does a poor job in actually explaining the story. I have no idea why or how he got into the tower trials. How the world/setting works or how does the magic system works. It is huge mess. Not worth the time. I got bored really fast and skipped chapters and it was the same boring stats and super op powers for doing nothing.
