The widespread popularity of this mid-to-high-level textbook (for both undergraduate and graduate students) lies in the author's straightforward writing, well-researched examples, and thorough coverage of issues. Griffin presents students with a functional approach to management (planning, leading, organizing, and controlling), and integrates real-world examples throughout the text to help them fully appreciate the role and scope of management in contemporary business.
Finished my reading of this textbook. As far as textbooks go, I found the information valuable and better than some I have read. It is a relief to know I don't have to read anymore textbooks for awhile!
This book is definitely helping with my HR studies... It is a very nice textbook that digs in deeper into the aspect of business management, the only criticism I guess is the size of the book - it's not a "standard" size book - it's big, and really heavy.
