Rate this book

Beth's back on the crime beat In this dark and gritty crime thriller... She's on a brief visit to Cornwall to see MI6 friend Dev, when she stumbles upon a murdered woman in the cove below his house with echoes of her past encounters in Spain.

Dev's health worsens and Beth's in a dilemma. Torn between loyalty to him and her journalistic instincts, she defies his pleas to leave the investigation to the local police and goes in search of the woman’s killer.

Meanwhile, shocking revelations from her colleague Fred in London intensify the race against time, forcing Beth to navigate the treacherous balance between personal loyalty and the duty to expose the sinister web of human trafficking.

Hidden from View is Book 10 in the dark, fast-paced London Crime Thriller Series with crime reporter Beth Papadakis.

★★★★★ Hit
Another excellent book by Cara Alexander. I look forward to reading more of this series.

★★★★★ Very good story!
When Beth Papadakis finds a murdered woman by the beach she just has to find out what happened! She’s a reporter who should probably be a detective because she is very good at figuring out how events occur. This is a book you can’t put down!

★★★★★ Close to home
Beth is visiting Dev in Cornwall when she hears a scream. She finds a body on the beach right below the house. Knowing Beth, she will not be able to let this go, but the surprise is how far and wide it leads. I like the way the storyline for Beth and Dev is coming together and look forward to the next installment. This story was my favorite yet, lots of twists and turns as well as lies and deceit. This one keeps you guessing.

★★★★★ Suspensefull
This author has a unique style that quickly catches the reader. The main character , Beth Papadakis, is a criminal investigative reporter and often gets into situations which are way out of her league. The story is often in first person so events transpire as "Beth" is experiencing them. In this story Beth is immediately involved in a murder investigation when she hears a scream only to encounter a murdered young woman. I really enjoy reading Cara alexander books because of her unique style. In Hidden from view there is a lot of action, unexpected twists and surprises. I highly recommend that the reader read the series in order to make sense of the other characters in the book.

This is book 10 with Beth Papadakis. I have enjoyed the Beth Papdakis books that I have read so far. The character is very likable. She has a son Jamie and her mum who helps out. She just wants to do the right thing and expose the real truth. Trouble just follows her everywhere. She is in Cornwall with a friend Elias, visiting Dev, who is recovering from a previous incident. He is not doing well. She is supposed to move to Cornwall with her son and marry Dev. She hears a scream and finds a girl on the beach near the house. Her throat is slit, and she is wearing just a slip. There are signs of trauma. Beth, as we already know, is a reporter on crime now. Elias is as well, but not from the same place. Beth feels the urge to find out what happened, even though everyone is telling her to go back to London. Beth pursues the story to expose human trafficking and find out what secrets Cornwall has. I received an ARC copy from the author an this is my honest review.

While Beth is checking on her friend Dev's recovery from a devasting injury, she discovers a dead young woman on the beach in front of Dev's home. This is the beginning of a page turning investigation into things that are hidden in plain sight. I couldn't put the book down.
