I've been a strategic consultant in the Silicon Valley for almost 25 years. I've watched the human cycles repeat even as the technology advanced. I've wondered why we do what we do, think the way we think, make bad decisions and miss opportunities right before our eyes.

That's why I wrote Defy Gravity, a leader's guide to shifting out of status quo bias and into out of the box thinking for business and market strategy.

It's also why I wrote my most recent book Neuroscience:The Influential Leader. I still had my questions.. even though I'd learned how to guide clients away from the behaviors that held them back. I dug deeper and began a study of neuroscience. Some 600 hours of board certified study later, I've found my answers.

The technology of our minds is the best technology ever. When we apply it to our business and ourselves, the results are dramatic.

Which is why I write and speak about our minds and how we can use the power of our minds to create excellence - in everything we do.

The power - it's all in our minds!

A somewhat interesting approach to consider how best to engage with others based on the variety exhibited in our personalities. Many of the insights presented could easily have been compiled from other reflections on team dynamics and personality differences, and as a result there is little here that feels fresh and insightful, other than presenting these principles through the lens of neuroscience. Thankfully, the book is more approachable than the term "neuroscience" might initially suggest.
