Great & quick read! I loved how it was from a male perspective. Great action with just the right amount of sex scenes made it👌🏾

Entertaining, Quick Read.
After being betrayed and sent to prison, Dante is out for revenge. When he gets out, gets way more than just his revenge.
This was a fun quick read. The whole story is told through Dante’s POV which I actually didn’t mind. This has good action and a cute second chance romance. It is a little lite on the romance though.
I would’ve liked a clearer motivation for Francesca. It seemed flimsy at best. Also maybe a bonus epilogue like a year later to see how Dante and his “best friend” are doing would be fun.
Overall a quick, entertaining holiday read.

Just the right amount of SPICE for Christmas!
I really enjoyed this book. I loved Dante, Zuri, Anthony and Carmen! This story definitely was about revenge and Dante to me got it. Kenya is amazing with telling a story that will have you looking for more. I don’t know why Zuri was talking about 3 yrs, girl y’all about to married on New Years 🤣. I want more of these two and definitely more of Anthony!

Short and sweet. The book opens on Zuri and Dante in an apartment together. They're in love, he's an enforcer in a gang that a woman leads, I think her name was Francesca. Dante is on his way out for something, but he plans to come right back. Zuri warns him not to go because Francesca is jealous and suspicious of Dante potentially taking over. Turns out, Zuri is right because as Dante leaves her place, he's surrounded by familiar faces there to take him out for Francesca. Turns out, Dante is pretty deadly and doesn't fold easily but Francesca actually set him up to take the fall for murdering 11 men.
Dante goes to jail and cuts all contact with Zuri because he has a life bid and wants her to move on with her life and be happy without him. To that end, he never reads any of the letters she sends him over the time he spends in jail. That decision isn't a good one because Zuri was pregnant and had his baby which Dante knew nothing about. I'm not clear on that because Zuri was in court when he was convicted and typically criminal court cases can last for years. Anyway, Dante makes a powerful friend who works to get Dante's case thrown out. Dante's benefactor is the leader of another gang who wants Dante's skills under his umbrella.
Anyway, once Dante gets out after 5 years or something, he finds out that Zuri had his child and goes to find her. They make up, he finds and gets revenge on Francesca except Dante actually does her in, and then he's back to his family with an invitation into a new gang. Not a lot to the book really, not a lot of depth, more a meh so I gave the book a 3. I'd rather read a book about the singing gang leader who carts Dante around in this book.

Awww…. This was so beautiful and different…. so perfect!!!
This story was so beautiful and different yet so perfect. The approach of the male POV only was so surprising yet so refreshing and so, so, so beautifully done was a huge plus.
This story is told from the mind of Dante aka Red Reaper. He was unjustly incarcerated after proposing to his girl. While there, he mastered the best revenge plan without knowing how much his circumstances had changed even behind bars. He gets out to a whole new life and shocking revelations.
I will not continue writing because I know that I will be spilling out everything on this book, so as of now fellow readers, know this: 1) get, 2) grab it, 3) buy it, 4) read it and finally enjoy it all.
Get it today!!! You will not regret it. Can’t wait to read about all of the other books because this group, viper mob and rowe mob sounds to be the big bad wolf.
In any case, beautiful characters and relatable, was so refreshing. Carmen was a sweetheart while I do agree that Anthony needed to be watched over carefully.

My Sentiments:
"Mobsters & Mistletoe" was a good read of a bit of it all, from action, romance, and violence. The main characters give the readers a story that will keep their attention as you turn the pages to see what is coming next for Dante, Zuri, Carmen, and a few other interesting ones. I enjoyed seeing how well Dante went after what he wanted: getting revenge for what had happened to him having to go to prison in the first place. I believed he deserved to do so under what had happened to him. One thing he learned his lesson of not opening up the letters he had received from Zuri, which had been a big mistake on his part. After all is said and done...will she take him back, or will he have to work for it? Now that a little child is in the picture...all that is left to say is to pick up this good read to see how this will all come out for Dante, Zuri, and little Carmen. Will they get their HEA?

Betrayal, Family, & Revenge
Imagine being second in command of a big crime mob and being betrayed by your best friend on Christmas Eve. That’s Dante’s story and boy was it good!! This was a fun, quick, Christmas read. I’m not a huge fan of virtual voice but on a fast enough speed the audio wasn’t terrible. This story is a perfect blend of betrayal, family, and revenge with a hint of spice near the end. I would’ve loved another epilogue about the relationship between Dante and his new “best friend” Anthony. I’m starting to love crime mob stories and can’t wait to read more from Kenya Wright about Paradise City. I really enjoyed sweet little Carmen and Zuri. I love a strong FMC and Zuri definitely is one but I wish I could have gotten a little more about Zuri and her dealings with Rowe Street Mob or just her perspective. Overall I definitely recommend this book, especially if you are looking for an action packed Christmas read!

Oh my, your books are so refreshing, I really loved this being told solely from Dante's POV, I enjoyed every second of this, the romance, the action & the humor. I will be reading this again. What separates you from most is that your books have replay value. The story is always so engaging. You make the fusion of violence & love seem effortless. You have such a gift. I see this in every review, but nobody does world building like you. I love that paradise city has become its own world & You're adding to it. I knew paradise was special from the moment I read about it in that anthology book. I loved this couple. I appreciate how you write black women characters with nuance. They are both strong & vulnerable. It's beautifully done.

What Dante got was so much more than that. He wanted to regain what he'd been cheated out of for five years. He was supposed to spent the rest of his life in prison. All he wanted to get rid of his childhood friend who betrayed him and sent him to prison.and win the love of his life back. Zuri presented him with an unexpected gift, a family he did not know he had. When he met Carmen for the first time his goals changed. He needed to live for his daughter and for Zuri. With Zuri by his side he now has his HEA. My heart just went out to him when he saw Carmen for the first time.

Great Christmas 🎄 story about love and revenge
This story was different because it was told only in Dante’s POV. The H lost a lot 5 years ago when he was betrayed and sent to prison. He spent 5 years preparing for revenge against the Crimson Mob. What should have been life in prison turns into early release and Dante can finally get his revenge, his quest vengeance gets sidetracked along the way when he unexpectedly discovers he left behind not only his fiancé but a child as well.
This was a great read with killing, love, sexy time, revenge, Christmas cheer and a happy ending! What else could you asked for? 🎄

loved It!!!
In true Kenya Wright fashion, this book was filled with everything you needed. Gangsters and violence, romance and sex, and the possibility of series 🤣. Seriously, this was a great read!! Loved the dynamics between all of the characters. Dante and Zuri, passion, love, family and a chemistry that did not die even with the absence of 5 years in jail. Dante and the Siren/Chameleon…. This was just an overall great book, it was a fast read and it had ties to the Diamond District books and Paradise City. Loved it!!! Not to mention Dante, big ole strapping Hulk of a man, yummy goodness!!!

Just what I needed a great story of love and revenge… Dante asked Zuri to marry him on Christmas Eve and she said yes after the throes of making love she warned him about his partner that something wasn’t right with her..He left going to take care of some business and was ambushed by his crew..He killed six unfortunately one was left the cops come and he is arrested for murder.. Gets life in prison five years in there a Xmas miracle you must read it to find out this Xmas miracle..

OMG, I loved this story. Dante and Zuri had something his child hood friend and leader envied. Francesca would make him pay for bringing Zuri into their world. But by doing so only made him angry and out for blood. Upon getting free her trap, he found himself with a surprise from Zuri. Their time away from each other couldn't kill their love, but Francesca would pay. I loved Zuri for her strength, Dante for his resounding courage, Anthony for opening up to create a soft landing for Dante and Carmen for having a child's love.

I actually really enjoy action movies so this was a nice read for me. I enjoyed that this book showed some more of the action behind the mob instead of insinuating what had happened. The love in the story was minimal and focused more on the main characters intentions with the love mixed in the middle. Dante was a great main character and I enjoyed the sole POV from him. He was a dedicated and loyal father and lover, which we love from our book boyfriends. Would definitely recommend for a cute and fluffy Christmas read.

Great storyline. On audible, the narration is done by AI. It’s not too bad. Certainly it’s odd to not have vocal inflections as you would expect, but it’s clear enough who is saying what and how they are reacting to the situation. Actual killings and a sex scene are muted due to the this format. But I kind of liked that.
For the full effect, read the actual book, which would still move quickly and hold your attention.
Overall, I’d say 3 stars for narration and 4 stars for the writing, character development, and storyline.

Loved it
Another great story by Kenya
She keeps writing stories that pulls you in and doesn’t let you go until the last page
Dante and Yuri had a love that was true and even though Dante was betrayed in the worst way by his partner in crime he got his revenge
The supporting characters brought depth to the story and made it more interesting and karma came knocking and she dealt her blow to those who deserved it in the story
A real page turner with a wonderful ending.

He then turns away from all of the outside world and friends including the woman he proposed to . this Christmas he has a chance of freedom and to get what he most wants revenge. But can he work for a second chance with Zuri. Does he deserve it or has she moved on as he insisted.. Good plot, surprises, a bit of john wick, Christmas Carol meets a mafia movie and a smart heroine.

He brought wrath with him!!
Ms.K.W never disappoints me when I read something from her. I appreciate all her hard work when making masterpieces. The storyline was great and kept me entertained from the beginning to the end, I love an ALPHA male, that-take charge kinda man. The one that doesn’t play about what’s his, even if he says to move on lol. We won’t get into the sex scenes because if you’re a K.W fan, you know she’s dishing out the goods. I love their story and how Paradise ties into this as well. On to my next book.

AMAZING
I really believe that Kenya is becoming my favorite author. The way that I DEVOURED this book!!!! I really enjoyed the way that this story was written. I loved the relationship between the two main characters and how it was a second chance at getting there happily ever after. I liked how Dante wasn’t consumed by revenge and realized that being back with the love of his life was more important. I liked the friendships that he made along his journey. Overall I really enjoyed this book I HIGHLY recommend reading it.

Outstanding
As always, Kenya, you never disappoint. This Christmas story is amazing. I couldn't put this book down. Everything that Dante went through to get his HEA and the years he was torn away from Zuri were heartbreaking. Their reunion was heartwarming.
Also, the best part for me was that it was set in Paradise City.
I hope that Dante and his family will be incorporated in future books about Paradise City.

Even mobsters have family connections that they want to preserve and protect! Dante was set up and had to leave behind a fiance and a new life he wanted, then spent 5 years in prison planning his revenge. He didn't that there were others looking to him to help them with their revenge against the same player. Both game plans connected and made up a winning team that settled the score for all!

This book is EVERYTHING!!!
I love this book so much! Kenya writes some of the best kids. Carmen had me laughing so much. I also love the fact that the men in her books are always respectful towards their women. Dante got his revenge and the loves of his life. The perfect mix of sweetness and darkness. I’m not surprised though because this is THEE Kenya Wright! 5 stars ⭐️ all across the board!

Lived this book. First, I truly enjoyed the story being solely from the antihero's POV. So much determination. Second, I truly loved the family aspect. There's so thing about kids that can tame the roughest folks. Now add in that all this action and adventure is happening during Christmas, even better. Give it a read. Action from beginning to end with just the right amount of spicy.

Wright knows how to write!!!
This book was a great for me to read during this festive period. It had so many cute moments, but the dark edge to it is what I need nowadays to stay engrossed. Love the world building for Paradise City, but this book is not as good as Ruin and Hunt. When is the third book from that series going to be released? I know that series is going to challenge the Lion and Mouse one!

Great, one that I know I’ll re-read
Loved it, loved it, this was so good I had to read it straight through. Could not put it down, needed to see what happen. That’s messed up when you and your supposed best friend create something then because of jealousy or envy she wants you dead, how low is that. But I would love 💕 to see if you create a story for Anthony & Marcelo I would love to read about them as well.
