This is a good introduction and companion to reading the Bible for new/baby Christians and if I was a new believer I'm sure I would rate it higher, but most of the material they covered I was already familiar with so end up skimming a lot of it.

I have been reading The One Year Bible since the beginning of 2019. I never really understood how to read the Bible or how to go about learning from it. My good friend recommended this book to me to help guide me through the Bible. It is really difficult to read the Bible front, starting with the Old testament, to back, ending with the New testament. This arrangement of the Bible organizes the entire Bible to be read in a reasonable amount throughout the entirety of the year. Each day you read a segment of scripture from the Old testament, the New testament, Psalms, and Proverbs. I like how I can read multiple stories in one day. I have a reading class as my first period in school, I take advantage of this time to complete the Bible study. I have found that it is a good way to have a great start to the day. Some days I forget or run out of time so I have a lot of catching up to do, I am reading scripture from February and its April. This study is not designed to make you feel bad for missing a day, you can go at your own pace. Another thing I like about this book that I have never experienced before is it is pure scripture. They arranged it into daily portions and that's it, no one is giving their thoughts or opinions. It is all up to me and how I interpret it. There are so many different ways that the text can be interpreted. In the past I have completed Bible studies with a walk through the scripture. Don't get me wrong it was so helpful and taught me how to think deeper. As I developed spiritually and intellectually I figured I needed to interpret the scripture for myself. I am excited to continue my journey through the Bible, I have learned so much already.
