Common sense advice, from a Catholic perspective, on raising children. Includes one chapter on homeschooling. Where was this book when mine was a baby? I'd go so far as to say this should be required reading for new moms. It just makes sense, and would have made a tremendous difference in my parenting had I read this before now. And it's wonderfully short at just 62 pages! Forget the piles of other parenting books and just read this one! As she states at the end of the book, even when it seems like it's too late to make positive change, nothing is impossible with God's grace.

Although written with a Catholic perspective, the advice and core values are exactly what I needed to instil a more structured homeschool household. I would recommend it for non homeschooling families as well if struggling with structure or discipline with your children.

Nice little book

Great book for new homeschool parents or really just any catholic family . has a lot of helpful hints to help manage your kids and family

I saw many things in this book that were applicable. It doesn't mention that consistency between parents in divorced situations is necessary as well. If one parent allows all manner of behavior the child will try to force that on the other parent. However, as she said about remaining firm and waiting the long wait is true, change does occur.
