She’s difficult. Dangerous. Deadly. A sister in our allied MC. My da would have told me to avoid a woman like her, but she shot him before he had the chance. Lodestar stirs fear into the hearts of the Elite. (xoxo) Now I’m scared too. For her. She’s not only ghosted me, but her daughter too. If she’s gone dark, I’ll hunt her down. Lodestar is an omnibus of Filthy Lies, Filthy Truths, and a Christmas extra which includes all the Feckers, their ladies, the Sinners, and their ladies. Conor's story is the story I have been waiting for since my first Five Points book and Serena did NOT disappoint! Holy fracking WOW! Conor and Star have been playing this cat and mouse game for years and the build up has been slow, but torturous in the best kind of ways. YEARS of foreplay without even having been in each others' physical company. Now she's on the run, but Conor will stop at nothing to gain the happiness each one of his brothers have obtained with their women. He'll get his girl. He'll keep his girl.
Lodestar has a total edge of your seat storyline that will grab you from the beginning. I loved how Ms. Akeroyd used news articles, texts, blogs, and journal entries in the beginning of the story in order to make sure the reader hasn't forgotten where we are in the overarching storyline, also allowing a new reader to dive in Conor and Star's world. This is definitely a book that you have to pay more attention to while reading with a more complex storyline that is an appreciated departure from my usual fluffy reads with tons of action, secrets, and twists that keep you gripped. The character development is fantastic. I absolutely love Star. Life has made her so hard on the outside, for her own protection. But for her people she will do anything. She's brave, strong, and even while a bit broken, she still perseveres. Conor is truly the perfect man for her, quick to temper, but equally quick to calm. He appreciates what makes her special and doesn't try to hold her back, but rather always has her back. Such a fantastic start to the story.
Seriously, the series conclusion to end all conclusions. Extra girthy... and you take it because you need it and it's perfection 😉. An emotional rollercoaster ride from beginning to end. Partly because you're sad to see the series come to an end and partly the fantastic storyline. So many twists and turns and truly, by the end of the book you feel like you can't read fast enough. I laughed, I cried, and I closed out this chapter of the Fecker's story with a huge smile on my face and dreams of what's to come next.
Star Sullivan and Conor O'Donnelly are my favorite Serena Akeroyd characters yet! The chemistry and the sweetness and the hotness between them. If you like your heroines kick-butt, you're not going to find one stronger than Star. If you can appreciate a hero that can soften a heroine's hard edges, you're not going to find anyone better than Conor.
The Christmas novella portion was super fun. It was great to be able to catch up with all our beloved characters years later and see how everything is going. Tons of shenanigans and laugh out loud moments. The Five Points Mob universe is truly something special and I can't wait to see how Serena adds onto it in the coming years!
i started the year reading conor's and star's duet in filthy lies and now i am ending the year with their holiday bonus novella in lodestar, and it still isn't enough. it'll never be enough. this universe, these two families, feckers and sinners, are my home, my comfort place. how serena managed to transform pitch darkness into the most hopeful and heartwarming series i've ever read will never cease to amaze me. any glimpse into these characters is like a warm hug. it feels surreal that both chapters are now done, yet not over. with this farewell gift from the five points until we get the second generation and from the mc before we go back to the new chapter, my longing for the final valentini duet and the lost boys is neverending. i never want to say goodbye to them, this is my family. but if what?

Lodestar is the fitting end to the Five Points Mob series and is the thrilling chronicle of Star Sullivan and Conor O'Donnelly in one bumper of a book - (Filthy Lies/Filthy Truth) with the addition of a humorous holiday novella starring lots of my favourite characters from the O'Donnelly clan and Satan's Sinners MC.
We follow Star and Conor in this epic journey through all the trials and tribulations they must face to get to their truths.
And boy is there ever so many hoops to jump through, and dark tunnels they have to traverse to get to the light. Nothing is as it seems, friends are enemies, truth is distorted, lies are everywhere and the past manipulated . Through it all their mutual respect, trust, and love see them through.
There are twists a-plenty, intrigue, passion, revelations, hidden agendas, super sweet moments to cherish, and lots of thrilling gasp out loud moments to keep me entranced until the very end.
This was a joy to read, and if ever you doubt that love can overcome dark pasts, secrets, and machinations, and bring down dangerous secret organisations then reading this just proves the point...

Lodestar is a combination of Filthy Lies/Filthy Truth with a few bonuses thrown in.
“One day, we’re going to be everything to each other, But, you're too impatient. We have to build toward that.”...
Serena has built us an empire that crosses over from her Filthy Feckers, her MC, and the Valentini Family. Although you could read most of the books independently (there are a few duets), reading them in order is the only way to do these books justice. This empire has built with each book and the storylines have drawn us in, kept us on edge, had us wanting more, and Serena does not disappoint. If you have followed the series, Conor and Star are not strangers. We are FINALLY reading Conor and Star’s story and y’all it is all consuming. Your mind, body, and soul. It is heartbreaking, soul crushing, and UTTER f’ing perfection. Serena has taken us down some pretty twisty rabbit holes. When you make this jump be prepared to see Star, really see her, and man is this babe tough as nails. And, Conor, this guy is all in and he makes it all known. I have a tremendous amount of love and respect for Serena in regards to how she handled Star and Conor’s storyline. The trauma these two have endured shaped them. And, also draws them together. But, boundaries, limits, and triggers are real. The slow build of their IRL relationship is a work of beauty.
At the end of Filthy King, we were left with major breadcrumbs about Star and Conor. Filthy Lies picks up from there. Serena also includes a Catch-up… all the pertinent information from the past books to keep us all in the know. We alternate from the present to the past as their story unfolds and builds. This is a long, detailed, emotional rollercoaster of a read, but so worth it.
Star has been on a mission for years to uncover and destroy The Sparrows’ network. And, the only way is to go deep undercover. All she can hope for is understanding and forgiveness from those close to her.
But, when Star misses her guaranteed call to her daughter, Kat, Conor will not stop until he locates her. Which just drags him deeper in the conspiracies surrounding them. But, there isn’t anywhere or anything he wouldn't do for Star.
Now they are digging deeper into the Sparrows than they thought possible with help from The United Brotherhood, yet another secret society, run by none other than Star’s maternal grandfather.
Star is fighting for all those who were not as privileged as she, giving them voices and freedom. We learn about her childhood, her family, what drove her then, what drives her now. We learn all her secrets and they run deep and have left scars.
This is six degrees of separation. So much connection. So much betrayal. So much madness. So much corruption.
“I’m an O’Donnelly, Star. We cherish our women. We protect them. We kill for them. We don’t compete with them because there’s no competition between us. We are on the same team, and you’ve just never experienced that before because, after all the crap Da taught us, that was one lesson he rammed home more than any other. “You are mine, Star.”
Filthy Truth is not only the conclusion to Conor and Star’s story, but the last in the Filthy Feckers Series. But, no worries, we have been promised second gen books. This is a long book y’all. We are given much information to process. And, the twists and turns. The six degrees of separation. The absolute work of beauty this book is. The Filthy Feckers have been some of my favorite reads.
Filthy Truth begins as Filthy Lies left us and boy does it start with a bang. We learned so much about Star’s past in Lies, but the truth that is spilled in this book… man oh man, can Serena write the stories.
Conor and Star work with their network of allies to uncover and right so many wrongs. The number of people with their hands in the cookie jar is staggering.
As they do their relationship grows exponentially. With Conor by her side she begins replacing all her bad memories with good one’s. And, Conor is more than willing to lend a helping hand or two.
The Feckers also begin to add to their portfolio. A sports team here and there. Setting Seamus on his political path. And, uniting their family with an even stronger bond.
And, Kat, this girl is going to steal your heart. And, watching Conor adapt to his role as a parent will have you loving on him even harder.
The ending Serena gives us leaves the door open for new beginnings.
Star: There’s KNOWING you love someone, and then there’s feeling it vibrate through your whole ducking nervous system as if you’re a tuning fork that’s just been struck. It rattled along my nerve endings like a bolt of electricity that needed to escape and the only outlet was him- ….”
Revisiting Conor & Star was absolutely perfect & I loved getting to do so in one sweeping setting of Lodestar — the omnibus for the Filthy Feck duet + bonus story!
Their love was hard fought & hard won…so many elements & factors working against their love. So many enemies(external & internal) to conquer to find their way to one another. But Conor was never going to give up. In fact, he found & made ways to support & love Star through every hardship.
The bonus story was such a great treat to read as well. Perfectly written, the voices of both Conor and Star still so clearly written. And what a peek into their future.
I absolutely LOVE the world Serena Akeroyd built…and I absolutely KNOW you will to!
I previously read the Duet separately; having it in the omnibus is excellent, and visiting with Conor and Star again was perfect. Reading this story simultaneously brings back all the emotions and feelings of the Series ending. The short novella was an excellent addition because we could visit with both of our favorite families, the O'Donnellys and the Satan's Sinners. She reminded us again why we loved this series so much—the love between the groups and the acceptance Star found among them. Now, we wait to see where the next generation will go. Thank you for this, Serena.
Well this big book was like coming home , being back in this universe was just the best. Once again I was sucked into this world of the O’Donnellys. I read this book when it was the duet Filthy Lies and Filthy Truth but rereading now as Lodestar was everything I didn't know I needed and so much more. The extra content in this was just everything I have come to love in this universe. Once again Conor , Star and Katina took me on such an emotional rollercoaster ride. Honestly their story is one I could read again and again. I would definitely recommend this book , series and universe as an whole. It is a phenomenal read that will not disappoint.
What more could you want; two amazing books combined together. Coner and Star have been my favourites from the very start and I love that I was able to revisit them in this omnibus and with a little Christmas bonus. Lodestar is the perfect ending to this series which will draw you in and you won’t be able to leave this series behind. This is one story I could read over and over again and I’m glad that Serena was able to share this with us all.
This book was originally published as the Filthy Lies and Filthy Truths duet in the Five Points Mob Collection but was rebound to match the Satan's Sinners MC series and for that series to get closure for Lodestar.
This entire duet was so, so good. And the bonus story at the end was an absolutely perfect end to Star and Conor, two of my favorite characters in both series. See my reviews for both parts below.
FILTHY LIES 5/5 ⭐ 2/5 🌶️ 5/5 🎧
I fell in love with Star and Conor while reading the Satan's Sinners series. When I found out they were getting their own book I immediately started Filthy so I would be ready, and I ended up falling for all of those filthy folks. However, Conor has always been my favorite and Filthy Lies absolutely solidified that for me. This book was amazing.
Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell narrate this story beautifully. Joe Arden has always been a favorite, but Maxine is totally underrated and does such an incredible job embodying Star. I swear I could let them talk me to sleep, their voices are so soothing.
Was I hoping after two years of being internet besties slash lovers would mean when these two finally met we'd get a spicefest for days? Heck yes. Am I disappointed we didn't? Not at all. What we got was exactly what Conor and Star needed and that was angsty as heck build up and hot as hades fore play. Both of these characters have such heinous pasts... but they fit together so beautifully and it shows as they get to know each other on a physical level.
It wasn't quite as action-packed as I was expecting, but it's still there and it's still thrilling. We get to know Dead to Me better along with some of Star's other "friends" in the biz. And the last page has me anxiously awaiting Filthy Truths arrival, thank the gods it's only going to be a week because holy canoly that was an ending. I can't wait to finally get to see these two happily ever after and to experience all the action on the way there.
FILTHY TRUTH 5/5 ⭐ 4/5 🌶️ 5/5 🎧
I can't believe it's (basically over). What a finale to these filthy folks. While we will be getting Filthy Sinner and Filthy Disciple in the next month or so, after Filthy Truth it is clear that it closed a major chapter in the Five Points Mob Collection. This one was long, but absolutely worth every moment.
Again, Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell narrate this story beautifully. They both embodied their characters so well and it was an absolute joy to listen to.
We start off right where Filthy Lies ends and the first part or two are absolutely packed with action and suspense. The next part or two almost feels like an epilogue as we get to watch Conor and Star start to settle down and grow into each other. They were already in love, but it really blossomed when things were more calm and they had time to act as a family. This part was a little slower, but I really loved these moments between them, Kat, and the rest of the O'Donnellys. I could feel the tension brewing and sure enough in that last part or two we get back to the action for an awesome finale that leads into our two epilogues, which were fantastic as well.
We got a lot from the rest of the O'Donnellys too. Watching Star immerse herself in their family traditions was a hoot, but it was also so endearing when she helped some of the sisters-in-law mend bridges and help their spouses heal. She can be such a hard person to handle, but her heart is so big. It's one of the reasons I have loved her from the moment we met her.
This has been one of my favorite series I've ever read and having my favorite couple be the final duet was so perfect. They were worth the wait and the lengthy word count. Conor and Star and their fans deserved every moment and boy, did we get them.
Loadstar absolutely loved how the book started with all the catch-up. It draws you in right from the very first page and. I have to say Conor is my Favorite O’Donnelly brother out of all of them and when he finally meets star his penguin there too worlds, collide into an absolutely amazing, fantastic story of betrayal, hurt loneliness loss and atonement but even though they are too lost souls when they come together and there worlds collide with a big bang there life around them becomes better and they’re both begin to realise they are both better together than apart
Connor is on a mission to find and save star because stars foster daughter Katina went to Connor and asked him to bring her mummy home Connor has been looking for star for sometime now and has not been able to find her until Connors Handler gets in touch with him as they have a job that they want him to do but not all is as it seems with the job when he has done what they have asked it takes a turn that not even Conor could see coming. he feels like he has been dragged into a conspiracy theory.will he make it back home still in one piece and who can he trust
Finally after two years of only talking either on the phone or through their computers Conor finally gets to meet star but they are soon to find out that the person that has been holding star captive has an Ulterior motive and he wants them to do something for him he wants them to find his granddaughter and this opens a big can of worms for star but Connor is by her side through it all there are lots of twists and turns in this book that I didn’t see coming but again it has been an absolutely amazing story to read and I can’t wait to read filthy truths I have loved how Conor and star relationship has started to become something more he has find his penguin I have laughed and got a bit tearful reading this book but I would highly recommend this series as the Donnelly Brothers are the hottest thing since slice bread. But the women in the O’Donnelly brothers lives are equally as Kickass as the brothers, especially star, as she is a strong, independent determined woman who won’t stop until she has righted the wrongs other people have done
Connor and star are still fighting to get rid off the NWS but they are about to be thrown another curve ball when the truth comes out about the star’s grandfather and the Brotherhood all is not as it seem and they are about to find out the really truth and through it all Conner it right at stars side dream work makes team work .
I just loved there relationship between Conner and star even after everything they have both been through they are there for each other and the love they have for each is other is just heart melting. But I have to say I absolutely love Katina and her conversation she has with Conner but I big smile on my face especially when he braided her hair and when she told another mum at gymnastics to get off her dad I just loved it and Conner is sooooooo proud off her.
Well the ending was biter sweet as it means the end but I have to say I cried at the end especially when Katina called Conner daddy I have no words now this his been an absolutely amazing series and I would highly recommend it so going to miss all the characters can’t say enough how much I have enjoyed reading this series. The two worlds that Sienna has created with the five pointers and the sinners have been absolutely amazing and when they crossover it is just wow, I am really going to miss both these series.
Bonus Story Quote:📖 To be fair, that was how I liked to keep my friends—on the verge of m*rd*rous.
Recap Thoughts of Book 1: 💡 I laughed, I cried, I raged and now I need the next one. Conor has been my favorite Five Pointer for a while, but I was not prepared to love him this much. And Star, dear Star. She’s been my favorite character from Akeroyd for a long time now, and this book humanized her even more. I’ve always respected and admired Star’s character, but this book finally had me empathizing with her. Their journey together is action packed and filled with intrigue, but it’s the relationship between that makes this book my new favorite.
Recap Thoughts of Book 2: 💡 The Filthy Feckers have all found love and this story is the perfect conclusion to that saga, and Conor finally got his happily ever after. Star and Conor’s characters have a beautiful story that remains true to who they have been in every book leading to this one and explained even more about why they were the characters they became. This story is riddled with so many seeds for stories to come and I’m excited for them all, while still satisfied with the conclusion for the Feckers. So stop waiting and just buy this book already, if you’ve made it this far in the series then you know it’s worth it.
Bonus Story: ✍️ I wanted to read this book because I wanted the recap and let me tell you it was worth it. The story was so funny. It had snap shots to show us where the characters were and what mischief they were getting into as well as hints about future stories. It tied up a couple of loose threads and left a little tease about stories that will be coming in the future. It was everything you could want in a bonus story.

Lodestar is an omnibus that includes the Filthy Lies and Filthy Truth duet all in one place! It also includes a holiday novella at the end that isn’t in the individual books! This duet MIGHT just end up being my favorite about my favorite couple! I knew Conor and Star were going to be SO great. I really did. Conor is everything I knew he’d be. Star surprised me but in the very best way. She is perfect for Conor and he is absolutely perfect for her! Them FINALLY meeting was *sigh*. Even though Conor wasn’t super happy with Star when he eventually got to see her in person for the very first time. He made the meeting perfect. But because of the circumstances of their first meeting, they are in a cluster. The conspiracies, the betrayals, the questions never ever stop. I’m ready for them to be out of this mess so they can have their happily ever after together! I’m obsessed with this series. Maaaaan. If Filthy Lies was a wild ride, Filthy Truth was even MORE wild! We FINALLY get to see some closure for Star in this book and I’m here for it! The poor girl has had a reallllly rough go of it in her life. Lots of lies and betrayal and corrupt family/friends. I love that Conor is a rock for her. And I loved Conor before this duet even started but it solidified my love for him. It also helped me grow to love Star as well! She’s a great mom! She’s a great partner to Conor even though she’s been so independent for so long. We get to see their first real disagreement, which was hard for me to read on Star’s behalf. We get to see them make up. And grow together. And make each other better. It was beautiful. I love that we saw them both evolve and overcome their own personal obstacles as a couple. Let me just say that I’m OBSESSED with Dead to Me. I LOVE HER. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for her because this book led on that there is a development there and I NEED TO READ IT! This was a beautiful story to close out the Five Points. We’ve waited so long for Conor to get his penguin and he finally did. On a side note, shout out to those last few “in the future” chapters that we were given! ESPECIALLY the last one! I needed it more than I realized. I’ve been waiting for anything about Next Gen since Storm’s book and this has me so hyped! I know it’s not necessarily in the works yet since there’s other books coming up but I cannot wait to read about Cyan, and Shay, and Kat, and Victoria, and all of the other next gen kiddos! The holiday novella at the end has me feening for more from this world. I love Star and Conor so much. I really do. They are stabby but funny! They’re crazy about their family and even more so for each other. I honestly can’t get enough. Shay and Kat are adorable. The O’Donnelly brothers are my favorite brothers in a series! I can’t wait for the next book Serena Akeroyd writes!
This entire series is beyond 5 stars. I am absolutely in love with Conor and Star's story. So many twists that keep you guessing. So much beautiful love and emotion your heart hurts. I would be deeply sad this is the end of the Five Points if not for so many Easter eggs that could lead to offshoots that I am excited about. This included a fabulous extra too! Another fantastic read from Serena!!!
Conor and Stars story is possibly my most anticipated story from the Five Points/Satan's Sinners world. I would go to war to protect these two from any further trauma and to keep them safe. They may not appreciate the cotton wool I want to wrap them in but that's another story.
Despite having never met in person and only having a long distance relationship these two just fit. You know instantly that they are perfect together. With their pasts filled with abuse and violence they have a way of comforting and understanding each other unlike anyone else can. Or as Conor said - "This isn't about romance. This is about knowing".
Conor is thoughtful, keenly insightful, patient, and just as determined, possessive, and domineering as his brothers. I love the relationship between Conor and his brothers. No matter what is going on in their lives they will always be there for each other and support them even if they don't always see eye to eye.
Star is equally determined, protective, cunning, and quite possibly the most formidable of all the women (although I think she'd go head to head with Giulia for stubbornness) .And for someone who believes that everyone is going to leave them Star has certainly amassed a family with the Sinners who would do anything to help her and protect her too.
Opening with a bang right where we left off Filthy Lies starts of explosive and intense. This book is violent and bloodthirsty and has a content warning for a reason.
Filthy Truth is the perfect swan song as Serena called it and is a fitting end to an amazing series that I'm so sad to see the end of.
The trust the Star and Conor have for one another is something that probably shouldn't be possible with their backgrounds and that they do have it just makes it so much more special. The personal growth of Star since she first appeared and especially in these last two books is just inspiring.
I really want to give this book way more than 5 stars because it was so bloody good!! Id read filthy lies and filthy truth before this book but Id got excited to get my hands on this blended book with the cracking bonus story which was a great addition to this.
I can't tell you how chuffed to bits I had finally gotten my hands on Conor & Star's book. I literally couldn't put it down from start to finish. Even with everything we found out about both of them over past books in this one there was a degree of genuine sweetness in their tentative relationship especially because of the length online friendship. I also loved how anything physical that happened between them had taken place slowly. Building up to it with both of them considering each others feelings with what they'd been through. When Conor called Star his penguin my heart literally melted with how sweet it was.
As with all the Five Pointers and Sinners books characters from those books pop up in this one to intertwine this story with others. This last book is a longer read but you know what I wouldn't have it any other way. I was completely gripped from start to finish to this duet. Id waited patiently for Conor and Star's books to come out that it didn't disappoint. Cracking plot twists, plenty of laughs (especially with the group texts), a few sad parts and just Conor & Star's heart-warming relationship with everything going on around them.
Swoon.................... This was everything id hoped for in this finale and although I'm sad this is the end of all the main five pointer characters books (who knows what will happen in the future?) Ive loved every book from them. Ill have to re-read them to get my fix now. They were all just brilliant reads that I loved reading them.
Star & Connor's story was not only one of my most anticipated releases of the year, but it definitely set the standard for 2023, top reads and all. So, it is only right that I also end the year reading and loving Lodestar, which is an omnibus of the Filthy Feck duet, Filthy Truth and Filthy Lies, including a new holiday novella.
The Filthy Feck duet is such an intriguing and exciting love story of two characters that Serena build for multiple books in the Five Points Mob & Sinners' MC universe. It masterfully gives us an action packed love story with secret and lies, governmental spies, romance and spice, and a family saga conclusion that was well deserved, well written, and just felt so damn good to read! Bittersweet but so damn good! Serena is one of my top author's and the Five Point Mob Collection is my one of my favorite series!
The holiday novella included was a high note for me. We got to see Connor & Star being them (if you know you know) and building a family. Plus, we got to revisit new and old characters that I love and miss! It was exciting, and Serena loves to play with the details, giving us easter eggs that connect to future stories. I look forward to more works from this author and what she does next!
*Thank you to Serena & Give Me Books PR for the eArc in exchange for an honest review*
I absolutely LOVED the format of this book because it was just so them and it kept it flowing! Conor and Star’s story was everything and then some. They have the best love story by far since it was so long in the making - the foundation of their relationship is beyond real.
As always, I am in complete awe of how all of the story lines and characters intermingle it’s fascinating and it is all finally coming to light. There was just soooo much to unravel and unravel we did! My mind is blown and spinning with all of the conspiracies, plots, and craziness that I am absolutely sure exists in this world. I am also heartbroken when I think about all of the corruption and greed at the expense of humans who are trafficked for whatever purpose the sick and deranged want them for. This book touches on so many of the feelings that the victims of these atrocities deal with throughout their lifetimes. It was gut wrenching as well as heartwarming to be with them all as they dealt with it and to see them grow from it.
I thought seeing Conor as a smooth talking romantic was the highlight because I ended up with heartburn just like Star, however there was nothing more perfect than his interactions as daddy Conor-I turned into a gooey mess. Conor has moved up to my second fave Fecker. Star Sullivan is an absolute boss as are her band of snipers - their relationships and banter was so fun to witness.
The bonus chapter and cameos were also giving me a little life because I miss everyone so much! However, just like with the ending of Sinners, the ending of Feckers hurts me deep in my soul but I will trust that we will get more through the next-gens and spin offs because they can’t ever truly be gone!
This book was a monster!! It’s so long I love it! Even though I didn’t want it to end, that didn’t stop me from flipping pages as quick as I could because I just needed to know how everything was going to pan out! I still can’t believe we’ve come to the end of line. I’m not ready for it to be over! I’ve come to love all of these characters so much, now I want to see their happily ever after, if such things are possible with the Irish mob haha!
Star & Connor’s books were so worth the wait. There is bomb after bomb dropped but it all comes to one thrilling, amazing & fantastic end! God I could gush about this book for hours because it was just a phenomenal conclusion to one of my absolute favourite series! It’s one I’ll reread again & again, & to be honest with everything that happens in this book I should probably reread to make sure I didn’t miss anything! I bow down to the author for this masterpiece!
I love these two & I loved the novella that gives us an additional sneak peek at their lives. Seriously just a phenomenal series that I’ll reread over & over again!
After bingeing my way through the Five Points series and everything O'Donnelly, it's such a treat to reread Connor and Star Sullivan's story all together in this volume, along with a brand new Christmas novella.
These stories can be read out of order and as standalones (me, I did that) but you might enjoy them better in order. If you’re new to Five Points and are a Mafia romance fan, begin at the beginning and read straight through. They’re all edge-of-the-seat excitement, deliciously dark and Hades hot, but bursting with love and deep emotion.
Conner and Star have been friends for a couple of years but have never met face to face. Then Star, a fearless, solitary warrior, finds herself in a situation where she needs help. Conner, Mafia son and hacker extraordinaire, joins her. They find themselves looking for answers to something complex and complicated, the implications of which could change the world as they know it.
Darkly twisty with pops of humor and surprising emotion, you'll need to buckle in and hold on tight for this wild, breath-taking ride. The perfect ending to an unparalleled, phenomenal series, make sure you don’t miss this exciting, extraordinary romance!
Serena Akeroyd delivered an extraordinary finish to what has been an outstanding series, I am sad to see the Five Points Mob series come to an end, but what a way to end with Connor and Stars complete story in one book, we finally get answers to things that been hovering in the back of our minds especially with the Sparrows and the United Brotherhood, I loved that this author added in some great Irish banter, which gave us some light heart moments to along the intensity of LodeStar.
There has always been something extra special about Connor and Star, an extra spark if you like, and extra bit of magic, this couple of gone through so much, endured so much but have come out the other side even stronger, which was never going to be easy, tissues at the ready in places and we with painstaking beauty reach the end - one I didn’t want, but one that was as breathtaking as the rest of the series.
A great family short story is at the back of the book which was another delight to read, so dive in and say your last goodbye to the Five Points Mob.
Star and Conor’s story is one I have been begging for since I started reading Serena’s stories…all the way back to Nyx. These two tied the Sinner and Filthy series’ together in the best way and I could not have asked for a better crossover conclusion!
Serena makes sure that you feel ALL the things, is never afraid to touch on a topic, and keeps you in your toes. I absolutely love getting suspense in my romance reads and these two stories delivered! Mix dark romance, taboo topics, intrigue, angst, suspense…it’s just too notch writing and world building so you truly feel like you are there.
These 2 characters are meant for each other in absolutely every way. They balance, they push, and they are ALWAYS there for each other. You will NOT be disappointed. Not to mention the novella at the end to give you a glimpse of all your favorite characters again.
Let’s be clear: this book is huge. This is not a book to read in one sitting. Nor should it, because it is the best book in both the FPM and in the Sinner series. It cannot be read as a standalone - it is everything that is the underlying storyline from the whole sinner series coming to ahead. The first half of this book is action packed really with so much information and so much happening. Whereas the second half is more all the pieces coming together and more emotional. Conor and Star are one of my favourite couples from this series and being able to see couples/people from previous books is always a favourite bonus feature of mine. This book is a perfect way to end both these series (while there is more spin off series and isn’t the last we see of these guys) and is bittersweet as it comes to an end. This version, compared to the FPM version, contains bonus material set in the Sinner world at the end of the book. I loved both these series and highly recommend all these books!
I'm speechless! This book is everything I didn't know I needed it to be. Conor and Star are awesome together! We meet so many old and new characters and the story really sucks you in. I had all the feelings, I was laughing and crying, shouting and whispering, nodding and shaking my head and had so many more reactions while reading. The conclusion to the story is brilliant. I love the writing style with all this twists and turns where you never know what the next page will bring. Conor and Star are relationship goals. I love them together. I can't wait for the new books in the universe. I would love to read more about the other snipers as well as the other factions! The novella at the end is sooo good! I love that the author is doing stuff like this for her omnibus books! And the cover is just beautiful!
Serena is one of my favourite authors and reading her books feel like being home. She pulls every single emotion from within me with her writing and with every book she wrecks my heart and then mends it back together. Star and Conor have been my favourite and I loved there journey. They have to overcome a lot both individually and together. It's amazing how they are there for each other and get there well deserved happiness. I was in awe with there love. The additional novella was like icing on cake. I loved getting a glimpse into what some of my favourite characters are up to and there shenanigans put a smile on my face. I can never get enough of this mesmerizing world and these amazing characters. This read is a complete package packed with emotions. Thanks to Serena and Wildfire Marketing for the advanced copy of this mind-blowing read.
I was so excited when I heard this book was going to be released....a combination of Filthy Lies and Filthy Truth.....a brilliant combination with the additional bonus catch up story with all my favourite characters from not only The Five Points universe but also the Satan Sinners MC. Pure bliss!!!! I'm gutted this series is now at an end but I've loved revisiting them all, its like revisiting family!! Star and Conor's love story is filled with twists, revelations, tears, laughter, super super sweet moments you never thought would happen , and of course the usual swoon worthy moments followed by the jaw dropping did that just happen moments. A roller coaster of a ride that you don't want to end. But end it must and wow what an end!!
If you have been waiting to read Star and Conor’s story, now’s the time. Serena has combined Filthy Lies and Filthy Truth into one volume and included a bonus story ‘Christmas’ that catches up with the Sinners and Feckers.
We waited so long for Star and Conor’s book(s) and now that I finished I feel bereft. It’s over? The original Fecker’s series is done? No! I want more. Lodestar is one long book that packed so much into it, filling in l some missing gaps in both the Fecker’s and Sinner’s stories. And it leaves us open for some more. The short story at the end just teases us with more. And then she leaves us hanging with a potential 2nd generation, Seamus and ???? I have to say I bonded so much with Star in this duet. She had some kick ass friends that I would really like to see their story. Yeah, Conor was just a sidekick, along for the ride, note the title is Lodestar, not The Kid. Sorry Conor. Anxiously awaiting to see where Serena leads us next in this world.
Omnibus of Filthy Lies + Filthy Truth Connor + Stars story was one I was waiting a long time for! We've reached such a tangled web of mystery and suspense! So captivating! Things you think 🤔 you know, you in fact do not. Connor is swoony + funny 😍 Sex on a stick walking Hallmark card. And they way they love each other is just 🤌 The Bonus story is everything I would have wanted! Including our fave Sinners!
While you could read this stand alone, I HIGHLY encourage you to follow the interconnected reading order of the Five Points + Sinners MC + Valentini family for best reading experience! Start with Filthy
Reading Star and Connor’s books earlier this year was the icing on the cake, for one of my favourite interconnected series. Those Feckers and Sinners will stay with you long after you finnish there individual stories. Star and Connor though have the most special place in my heart while there story is THE most heartbreaking no couple deserves to be happy as much as those two. Serena took us on a wild ride with these books. The Christmas bonus short at the end of this is just what I needed this morning. With lots of familiar faces it gave me all the feels ❤️.
I have no words other than to say this book was absolutely amazing! Serena absolutely blows me away. Lodestar combines both Filthy Lies and Filthy Truths, Conor and Star’s story in one book. It’s amazing to me how Serena can weave such an ongoing plot line, that touches every character throughout all of her books and culminates in this epic finale of these filthy feckers. Conor and Star were amazing as not only a couple but individually. I can’t give any more details without giving away anything in this book, just be prepared, once you pick this up you won’t be able to put it down. All secrets will be revealed and the some you never even saw coming! The bonus novella included is absolutely amazing. Just when I thought she couldn’t give us more, she did. Wish I could give this more than 5 stars!
I loved reading these at the beginning of the year, and re-reading them with added bonus content?!??!? Best way to end my year ❤️ I love Conor and Star, they are goals for me, and Conor has held my heart since I first read about him. Watching them both evolve and then eventually getting this omnibus (duet released earlier in the year) its just the perfect way to end the series. AAAAANNNNNNDDDDD the bonus content 😍. If you haven't read any of the Five Points/Sinners universe then go do so now, and if you have then revisit with this omnibus, you won't be disappointed, I wasn't and now I want to go back and do allllll the books all over again 😉
