Currently battling between a 4/4.5. Wow! what a ride! I haven't felt this emotional reading a C-Novel in a while which is saying something considering I did read 2 novels by this author recently. They're so vivid at creating scenes and emotions that you feel sucked into their worlds, regardless of how often you might've read similar tropes. This one made my heart tug for the ML. Yes, we've all seen the over-burdened, left alone and tortured ML but something about how heartbroken he was after the divorce and the moments they spend in the past and his childhood... ouuuu it broke me. You get both of their reasonings for being extremely hurt through the relationship and after the dissolution. As we move, we understand his motivations and so does the FL. When the FL turned into a candle light, a snowflake and a flower, I got her. The author did mention in their notes that they were suffering from writer's block, had work and other things and you can kinda see that in the plot here and there. I think parts of the world building were a little weak but I didn't mind it. The last few chapters were messy and fast andI wish we had more time when they finally get together. Someone needs to give me the bonus chapter from the ML's pov 😭 Regardless, a fun ride.
