Rate this book
THERE'S A NEW VAMPIRE BLOODLINE IN TOWN...

The Dragonborne vampire coven is notorious. What they want, they take. Who they hate, they take care of. They're vicious, brutal, and it's best not to get in their way.

Except that's exactly what I'll have to do to save my brother. When I come face to face with their sire, the most dangerous of them all, I'm mate marked and left with two run or die.

I take option one, but end up in the arms of someone worse— the mage who rejected me two years ago... Except he's no longer a mage.

Now, he's more dangerous than the vampire I'm running from, and he harbors a secret so deadly, it could get us both killed.

That's if, my own secret doesn't kill us first.

Marked by Vampires is a dark and steamy, fast-paced, MFM, rejected mates, paranormal vampire romantasy novel set in the Marked Immortals/Immortal Bloodlines world.

I admit; I purchased this book without looking at the blurb. I love Sabrina Rose’s plain but (to me) addictive prose. All the other books I have read have been fun urban fantasies with some clean romance. The current trend in forums is full-on high steam, and I admit now I crave some of that. I didn’t know that Sabrina Rose has jumped on the gravy train, so I was a bit surprised. It’s much hotter than her previous stories.

The novel started out really well, with the main character attempting to escape from a club when the supernatural council arrives, and she has been skirting their dictates to find her brother. In the process, she meets the vampire, and their touch is electrifyingly awful. I laughed and wanted more....but he then disappears from the story.

Rather, the focus switches to the boyfriend mage who jilted her, and his character seems really flat to me. Somehow he has changed, but she finds him equally attractive.

I really detest reading the same scene from two different viewpoints! I DNFed at 78%. As soon as the mage started obsessing about seeing her again, I lost interest. I had already been disappointed in the mage’s character, and that was the last straw. I am sorry, Sabrina.
