The Wild Wool Shepherdess: Weave the Ancient Path, Reignite Your Feminine Fire

Rate this book
Reconnect to the wisdom of the land, animals, and the moon, and be inspired to find your power and freedom in this poetic memoir.

“What I long for is to be amongst nature, wild, remote, untouched places, when the moon nears full, and the energy is visible and present.”
—From the Introduction

Do you feel this urge too, in your bones? Do you feel as if you don’t really belong, and that there is something missing in your life? In this book, Elizabeth Kneafsey tells the story of how she found her place in this world as a Shepherdess, and how you can find your own unique path too.

Full of incredible and transformative stories of ancient crafts, sacred stones, Indigenous wisdom, menstrual rituals, and a wolf companion, The Wild Wool Shepherdess will show you that it is possible to live a different way—one where women are deeply connected to the land and their own innate power.

“There is a path for women, calling us home. Back to our Mother, Earth.” Will you answer the call?

Heartfelt, soulful, and raw. I laughed, I cried, I learned a lot. This book is for all the wild women out there who feel out of place in a modern society that has lost its way. It is for those who feel we need to go back to our roots, to our old ways, and Elizabeth shines a light on the path that starts that journey. I have placed markers throughout this book for future reference, including ceremonies, sheep worming, questing and making natural tonics.

A must read for wild women everywhere who feel the need to return to our natural roots.

I think this to be one of the most inspirational books I've read lately.
Reading and recognising the feelings and experiences around Somerset's sacred landscapes as well as all the practical info as Elizabeth's view on spirituality highly resonates.
Many of her beautifully written thoughts and ideas resonate, and I feel called into action in a very positive way.
As a matter of fact, I took a hard decision today, and I look forward to venturing into the darkness to find the treasure of truth there.
I have markers through the whole book, for the practical info and ceremonies, for reminders, books and passages I know I will want to go back to.
