Everyone seems to be incredibly busy these days. But a day started out with God makes the whole day better. These short, but inspirational little devotionals are just the thing to read at the beginning of a busy day. Each one starts with a Bible verse that the thought is centered around and ends with a prayer to tie the thought and scripture together.

First, I loved the look of this book. The soft leather cover and engraved flowers are beautiful. It also came with a convenient little ribbon to mark the spot, since the devotionals are numbered and not dated.

I loved the little devotionals. The author was able to pack a lot of thought and inspiration into each page. It's the perfect amount to read when in a hurry or a great jumping off place for longer devotionals. These will make great gifts to the women in my family.

New Year's is a great time to find a new devotional book to carry you through the upcoming year. Just something about starting a new year with a new purpose seems to spark this need, at least it does in me!

Two of my favorite year-long devotionals are Daily Wisdom For Women and the 3-Minute Devotionals for Women from Barbour Publishing. These two books are beautifully bound in gorgeous purple leather this year, and contain within them wonderful scripture, meaningful advice and beautiful prayers for each day of the year.

I love these books and keep them nearby to have a quiet reflection time each day. If you are looking for a bit of quick renewal and refreshment to your day, these books will be just perfect for that.

So I read this as a book and not a devotional; however, it was still seems like a pretty good devotional. The only thing is that I'm pretty sure it is for single mothers, as it mentions this quite a few times during the book. I do like how it starts each day with a verse and ends with a prayer. It gives a lot of insight into bibical passages and also gives good real life examples. Would work well for a quick daily devotional.

This was a special part of my day all year. The devotionals were applicable, timely, and practical. I enjoyed having a little space on each page to write my thoughts. Some of them were so good that I shared them with family and friends.
