Love In Handcuffs: The Secret Billionaire (Part One) (BDSM And Domination Erotic Romance Novelette) by Ashley Spector is a fairly short story totaling 47 pages from cover to cover. Katrina Solly is a female tired of her dead end job that takes her nowhere fast. The groping by her sleazy boss and lack of proper pay as well as frustration that she had nowhere else to go, Katrina embessled $300,000 dollars from the company then headed out on a cruise to Cancun. Anxious that she’s going to get caught by federal agents, Katrina just has to wait the few painstaking days until landfall. What she didn’t expect, however, is the tall and handsome stranger watching her from afar; is he a federal agent? Does he know? After fainting into his arms, she can’t help but confess her crime, but Michael Sheldon isn’t the person she thought he was.
With this novellette being the first installment of Ashley Spector’s erotic series, it was only 18,500 words. Love in Handcuffs is intended for a mature audience. The basic premise of the story is an interesting concept yet it could have been developed quite a bit better. It left me wanting to know these two characters more. With not knowing their backgrounds, how they got where they did, what drove them, etc, I was a bit disappointed due to not understanding exactly what the motives were for how they lived their lives. Between that and the fact that the story was written in first person, I found it hard to get through the story. Having the actions written in third person flows easier for this reader. I will probably end up not going back to this series or novel.

Cute story. Liked it a lot and looking forward to book two.
Katerina was on a one way cruise to Mexico. She was running from her old job were the bosses were harassing her. So she took some money and was running. On the ship she felt that someone, a guy, was watching her. She thinks he is an FBI agent. When he approaches her, she faints in his arms. He takes her to his room. She wakes and freaks a little when she notices that she is in his room and handcuffs are near by. She confesses to him about stealing from her old bosses. He turns the pages on her and makes out with her and pushes her to the limits mini times. They develop a bond and she doesn't even know who he really is.

I quite enjoyed so far.... Don't think I would have spilled my guts so quickly in confessing that I had stolen from my groping employer. Pretty good sex scenes. I was hoping Michael would have taken her with him when the ships engines failed and they had to return to Florida .
My only complaint is the cost of the books compared to the length of the story but then again the first book was a freebie!
On to book 2.

Not my thing. First she thinks she is being stalked by the FBI or a creeper only to wake from fainting in his room a second later spilling her guts and opening her legs without even a word out of his mouth. A little creepy to me. The reader then gets you to like the characters only for you to get a creepy factor again (even though a role) toward the end making me not want to continue. Can be read as a stand alone but for me I am not going to continue. I think with a few added words in the beginning scene and smoothing out the other scene making it more sensual readers would flock to this

A short story focusing on Kat and Michael’s affair in the cruise. Kat is running away after she had embezzled the company she’s working for but she met Michael. Michael is the big mystery here. The only thing she knows is that he’s rich enough to have a stateroom on an expensive cruise ship.
It’s steaming and hot. If you had read the Fifty Shades of Grey its like the short story version of that.

I don't like books in parts. I want it to have some sort of conclusion even if you know there is going to be a continuation. You don't get the impression that Michael cares about her for anything other than acting out his fantasy. I don't like selfishness. I would not recommend it to anyone unless they only want to read about the sex.

I like this little short story. Although I wish it was a little longer I can't wait to read part 2. I hope she solves her issues. I'm thinking her billionaire lover will help solve her issues. Since we know she's not gonna be able resist finding him since he gave her his card. Which means he wants her to show up otherwise he wouldn't of.

This is a fairly short book. So if your expecting a long one you won't get it here. However it was pretty good. Very erotic and has a good story line. It will keep your attention. I will be reading the next one to see what happens.

I shamelessly allowed myself to enjoy it thoroughly.

This was quick short story. I was intrigued with the plot. Some of it was expected but it was a nice intro to the series. I'll definitely be checking out the next one!

it was a very short book, very graphic in some thing but lacking details in others I hope the second book is more detailed with some characters.
