Nobles weave their intrigues, but I don't care about their games. I don't need power. I have a completely different interest. My physical strength is growing, my soul is evolving, more and more fractals are gathered. At last, I have acquired the Claws!
Mighty enemies? Yes, they exist too. However, their time is limited...
I was born in Kazakhstan in 1991, and my life's journey has taken me down many paths, from the intricacies of finance, to the realm of banking, to the nuances of marketing. But it was the realm of writing that finally captured my heart and soul. I currently reside in Belgrade, Serbia, where I create stories that resonate with my beloved readers.
The MC looks like a 16 year old, but is actually a centuries old warrior who fought and defeated demon hordes. His political enemies, be they nobles, cultists or his girlfriends' fathers have no idea who they're screwing around with. The MC is focused on preparing for a demon invasion, but gets distracted with training up a force of warriors, while princesses are coming out of the woodwork being drawn to him like moths to a flame. He slowly builds harem while fighting off agressive suitors, both noble and angelic. After killing off several high level forces, regional potentates have become overly interested in him. Being a stone hearted sociopath, they have no concept of the can of whoop ass they are opening.
While I enjoy the story, there are parts that just dont make sense to me as well as pop up characters that are hard to place. Still, I look forward to the next installment.
One, the MCs becoming that distasteful trope where every female gets wet and throws her panties at him. Then there was a huge focus on loyalty and obedience in woman, and that you always protect your women. Father betrays you and your fiancé? Stay loyal and obedient. Need to go away to help your grandfather? Get torn in two and act hysterical because you can’t choose between your family and your boyfriend. Find out one of your girlfriends killed a bunch of children? Reassure her and promise it fine because you won’t let her be evil in the future.
These are all little asides that don’t actually take up much of the novel, but they’re weird, and definitely detract from the overall worth of the book.
I’ll definitely read the next one, if there’s more of this nonsense I won’t be buying the one after that.
DNF @10% I'm at 10%. This whole book has been generic harem stuff. All the girls are now his "girlfriends" and all the relationship drama has shifted. I'm going to DNF for now
