I made this historical fiction because people really did do rain dances in the past. Plus, all of the animals and illustrations represent a real-looking,hot country and set the stage for what really would have happened- no better way to make history come alive for a kiddo. Themes include perseverance because Aio kept dancing all the way through. K-4 for sure due to simplicity in reading level.
