A heart-pounding tale of danger and devotion, the riveting second installment of the Wright Heroes of Maine series by a USA Today bestselling author.

A woman who’s been keeping secrets of her own… A high-stakes international chase full of romantic suspense, spies, and a ticking time bomb that will keep you reading all night long.
Robin Patchen is a USA Today bestselling and award-winning author of Christian romantic suspense. She grew up in a small town in New Hampshire, the setting of her Nutfield Saga books, and then headed to Boston to earn a journalism degree. After college, working in marketing and public relations, she discovered how much she loathed the nine-to-five ball-and-chain. After relocating to the Southwest, she started writing her first novel while she homeschooled her three children. The novel was dreadful, but her passion for storytelling didn’t wane. Thankfully, as her children grew, so did her writing ability. Now that her kids are adults, she has more time to play with the lives of fictional heroes and heroines, wreaking havoc and working magic to give her characters happy endings. A new Robin Patchen favorite! Lots of action and of the international flavor as Michael Wright seeks to rescue his girlfriend Leila from terrorists. Both have kept secrets and must decide whether or not to completely trust the other. Is Michael more than a salesman? Is Leila a terrorist too?
This is Robin's best series yet. Romantic suspense fans won't want to miss it.
My gratitude to the author for a complimentary e-copy of the novel. I was not required to post a review and all opinions expressed are my own.
Lots of heart-pounding action in this one. When two people keep secrets - even for the right reasons - it doesn't foster trust. And without trust, how can they escape from the dangerous situation they find themselves in? You'll have to read this one to find out! I was able to read an advance copy and can highly recommend this book.
Another brilliant romantic suspense novel by Robin Patchen! This is the 2nd book in the Wright Heroes of Maine series. While some events from book 1 are alluded to in this book, this story can still definitely stand alone if you haven't read book 1 yet. There may be some spoilers though, if you read them out of order. This book follows Michael, the Wright brother who is in the CIA. It was good to get a more behind-the-scenes look at his life. He was a side character in the first book and was rather intriguing, so I was glad to get more of his story. When his girlfriend Leila is snatched from the streets of Munich by a terrorist, Michael is sure that he is to blame for it. But there is more than meets the eye. Filled with all sorts of plot-twists and depth, Ms. Patchen brings about a thrilling story throughout Europe and the Middle East. The fast pace of the plot kept me turning pages to see what happened next. The romance was paced well as well, which feels unusual for a romantic suspense novel. The romance was realistic as well in that Michael and Leila had several arguments in this book, but they continually came back together. I enjoyed how they worked through their differences and came to more fully rely on God. The faith thread in this one was solid and there were themes of trust throughout the book. All in all, this was a thoroughly enjoyable fast-paced ride and a great read I would definitely recommend to fans of inspirational romantic suspense. Special thanks to the author for an advance e-copy of this novel. I was under no obligation to provide a review and the thoughts contained herein are my own.
From page 1 Robin Patchen had me with this book. I could not put this one down. This is my favorite book of Robin's - I may have said that about a few books. :) This story was full of suspense and twisted and turned all the way through the book. The details of the book and characters brought me into the story and I felt like I was watching the movie. This would make a great movie. Thank you once again for a wonderful book.
Hold on to your seats as you devour this fast-paced and intriguing book.Robin brings it all in this romantic suspense, with great characters, love, secrets, terrorists and kidnappings. Couldn't put it down. If you're not already a fan of Robin Patchen, then this will surely bring you into the fold.
I enjoyed reading this second book in the Wright Heroes of Maine series by Robin Patchen. Book 2 is about CIA agent, Michael Wright and his girlfriend, Leila. When it comes to the CIA, Michael is more of a lone wolf than a team player and feels he’s the only one who can rescue his girlfriend in Iraq. There is a lot that goes right, but much that goes wrong. There is plenty of adventure and suspense in this story, which keeps the pages turning. More Wright brothers become involved as well as Michael’s CIA team. Secrets are revealed, while family and faith are big elements in this story. I love the ending but am hoping some issues get resolved in a future book. I highly recommend this book and author.
Robin does it again. A page turner that I couldn’t put down. Okay, so I read it on my phone. I guess I had to put it down a few times! Characters are so real and the storyline engages the reader’s interest page after page. Read it!!
Wow! Another gripping story by Robin Patchen, fast paced and filled with action. It was set in the Middle East and I found the information on that area both interesting and scary. A definite must read.
Wow! What a great book! This book shared great reminders concerning our need to trust - those around us who love us and will have our backs, but most of all, God. The book was well written and kept me reading long after I should have put the book down. All of the danger and twists and turns just kept coming. Michael and Leila had much to learn about each other since their real personalities were quite different than the people they thought they knew and fell in love with. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey they took to safety and to get to know each other with totally different backgrounds and identities.
“Rescuing You” — Another wonderful, brilliantly thought out story by Robin Patchen. I struggled to put this book down - only did that to sleep and prepare meals for the family- it was nail biting exciting; excellently portrayed. I almost felt as though I was right there with them!! Loved the lead characters - Michael and Leila, loved their faith and love for God — everything about them was so believable. Thank you Robin for this wonderful second book in the Wright Brothers saga!! Looking forward to the next one!!
Keeps You Turning Pages… sweet romance doesn’t get in way of suspense
If you like plots twists, romance and danger, then make sure to read this book. This is a stand alone but I knew I wanted Michael Wright’s story when I was ‘introduced’ to him in “Running To You’, the first book of this series. He knows how to fool even his closest family members. See, everyone thought he was just a salesman, a very good salesman but a salesman none the less. In reality, he was CIA and used the salesman job as a cover.
Michael will put his life on the line for those he loves, but this time it’s different. Leila is his girlfriend but so much more, there’s a deeper feeling and connection. And if there’s ever a time he disobeys orders, it is now. Leila is kidnapped by a terrorist, the same terrorist Michael has long been after… and he’s not what we’d call ‘a lone-wolf terrorist’. These are vile men, dangerous terrorists that Leila has to escape. But how?
Leila knows these men who have her. She’s trapped in an Iraqi desert compound and knows she has to find a way out. She needs help. She needs her twin sister, a sister Michael knows nothing about, she needs Michael and she needs a Power greater than any man. She needs Devine intervention… and it may not happen like a bolt of lightening but He definitely is there.
So, if you like thrillers, if you like staying up into the wee hours of the night into morning reading, if you like turning pages to see just how best laid plans can go awry, if you like love and family, then you’ll love this book. And never forget, if God be for us, who can be against us?
🤔OBSERVATIONS
✒︎ With all the Middle East conflict we are witnessing in news reports, this could front page headlines or leadoff news stories.
✒︎ Appreciate the attention grabbing writing style. This author doesn’t need filler pages that so many use. This is a clean and exciting book full of intensity, intrigue and action…. There just may be a secret or two that will need addressed.
✒︎ This easily could be made into a movie… I easily could see it win ‘Best Screenplay’ or ‘Best Picture’
I was given an advance copy of this book and freely leave my review.
“She was keeping secrets, but he was too. And he wasn’t ready to reveal his.”
Honestly, I fell in love with one of Robin Patchen’s books about another Wright brother, so I knew I had to read the stories of the other brothers as they are launched in this series, The Wright Brothers of Maine. Rescuing You is the second book of the series, and features the story of Michael and Leila. Michael, an undercover CIA agent in Germany, is horrified to find his girlfriend has been kidnapped by Vortex, the terrorist he is trailing.
Leila is a native Arab who left Islam to turn to Jesus. Her captors would not treat her well for defecting from the faith, their perception of a Middle Eastern woman’s role, or her first escape into Germany. Michael chomps at the bit when histeam leader, Brock, asks him to remove himself from the situation and let the team handle it.
Explosions, daring escapes, and shoot-outs up the suspense ante. Ruthless, strategic terrorists and a sick twin complicate matters. As does the fact that Michael does not stand down as told, nor does Leila like to be given commands without knowing ‘why.’
Secrets. This novel is all about secrets and trust. Both Michael and Leila hold dangerous secrets, and both need to learn to trust God and other people if they are to survive. There were a few times each I wanted to sit Michael and Leila down and “straighten them out, but good!”
Rescuing You is a novel that will also have you thinking about what some immigrants are willing to endure to reach our shores. By the end of the book, you’ll be looking to tie up a few loose ends and read more of the Wright brothers’ stories, starting with Bryan’s adventures in Finding You.
I received a copy of the book from Celebrate Lit. I also bought my own ecopy. No positive review was required, and all opinions are my own.
Notable Quotables:
“But in his arrogance—and his fear—he’d gone it alone. As he so often did. And because of that, he’d lost…everything.”
“Hope seemed lost, but God was a God of hope, wasn’t He?”
I really enjoy Christian Romantic Suspense. rescuing You by Robin Patchen is Book 2 in The Wright Heroes of Maine. I had the honor of reading Book 1 in this series and have been awaiting the release of Book 2.
Michael Wright is a CIA Agent and he has been keeping his true identity secret from his girlfriend Leila to protect her. He is quite worried when Leila is kidnapped, quite possibly by the Terrorist he has been trying to hunt down. He decides to go against CIA Agency policy and he goes to Iraq to try to rescue her. Leila Amato has just returned to Iraq after being gone for 10 years. She feels alone when she is kidnapped and then she finds her identical Twin Sister. Michael arrives in Iraq to discover that Leila's sister is also being held captive and needs help escaping also. Michael can only rescue one woman and now he and Leila are trying to get out of Iraq to safe ground. Michael discovers that there may be secrets that Leila is keeping. Will Michael and Leila make it out of Iraq safely? Are there secrets that might endanger their relationship or others?
I know it sounds cliché, but I really could not put this book down once I started reading it. The adventure and suspense started immediately I LOVE Michael's determination to put his girlfriend first, even going against policy for the CIA. Leila's kidnapping turns out to be much more then just a kidnapping and the suspense of the kidnapping and rescue was very intriguing. Michael and Leila's relationship was tested throughout all this, but their faith in God really helped them through. The twists and turns in this book truly made this book suspenseful! I HIGHLY recommend this book to ANYONE who loves Christian Romance Suspense Novels. GREAT BOOK!
Rescuing You By Robin Patchen This book was absolutely my favorite! I loved it from beginning to end. Robin Patchen has outdone herself yet again. This is book two in The Wright Heroes of Maine series. First you meet Michael Wright, is the second youngest of the Wright brothers. He is a CIA agent, he’s been working undercover as a machine parts salesman in Munich, Germany. Michael uses the last name Wrong to protect his identity. Next you meet Leila Amato, she works as a hotel manager and is of Islamist descent. Leila has been kidnapped and killed or so Michael thought. Michael’s friend, Stone, comes to his parent’s 50th anniversary celebration and shows him pictures that indicate Lelia is still alive. Michael is asked by his team leader to not go and rescue Leila, but he can’t just sit by while the woman he loves is held hostage. He has no idea where she is being held. Then he receives a phone call from Leila. When he goes to rescue Leila he finds out that it was her sister he spoke with. Now, having two women to rescue, when he was only planning on one, changes everything and makes this rescue even harder. As Michael, Leila and Jasmine fight their way to safety, there is an enemy awaiting at every corner. Even his team leader is on the hunt to find him and the sisters. With the bullets flying will Michael be able to keep both sisters safe and free from their captors. Hang on for the ride of your life in this fast-paced and very action-packed adventure. There are lots of twists and turns that will keep you guessing until the end. I highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed. Happy Reading!
Love is the driving force behind a suspenseful mission…
As a gifted story teller and a very competent writer, Robin Patchen weaves a tale of danger, mystery and romance with depth of character and lots of emotional ups and downs. It is also thought provoking in that it raises many questions regarding being true to yourself or falsely acting in order to please others, as well as, evil manipulation and abuse, the ability to trust and to feel acceptance rather than rejection. It was a thrilling and entertaining read with unexpected surprises.
The only discomfort that I felt is this constant idea that all good turn of events and any personal accomplishment is solely credited to a force outside of ourselves. We should stop giving our power away and recognize our own divinity within as “God” or “Source” intended. We manifest our own reality and learn from our mistakes. Yes, there is a more righteous path we can choose to follow or continue to err in our ways. I believe that we are immortal soles in a physical body so that we can experience life and eventually ascend to higher forms of existence. Humanity is now at a turning point and I feel that it is up to us to create a new and better world – a heaven on Earth.
Perhaps Christian based novels are no longer my best genre to read…but I love everything else about them – they are clean and inspirational while encouraging personal growth, not to overlook their HEA at the end…I received an arc and this is my honest and voluntary review.
4.5 stars "Leila had to face it. No one was coming for her."
Leila Amato could hardly process how her life had changed in just a few short hours. Being held captive within the heavily guarded walls of a remote Iraqi compound was a far cry from enjoying a romantic evening with a tall, dark, and handsome salesman on the hillsides of Munich, Germany.
"The woman Michael Wright had given his heart to was gone. Just . . . gone."
Pulling all his strings as a CIA operative did not allow him permission to find Leila, in fact those resources were never designed for personal missions, but that didn't mean he was going to let her disappear either. The plan Michael did come up with was pretty sketchy and full of potential hiccups, but nothing prepared him for the overall picture or the fact that he would be rescuing two women, not just one.
What an amazing story! Fast-paced, heart-racing scenarios coupled with honest, soul-searching conversations, paired with enough romantic chemistry to set off several massive explosions. Leila's feisty independence absolutely tested Michael's patience, . . . . . my goodness, the man was trying to rescue her at the cost of his own life, . . . . but then again, Leila had no true idea of who he really was. And ironically, he didn't really know who she was either.
"He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart." - Psalm 91.
There is only one true Rescuer in this story and Leila and Michael both know Who that is.
Michael Wright is a CIA agent with many secrets he is keeping from his family, girlfriend, and the agency. Now that his girlfriend, Leila, has been kidnapped, he will do just about anything to get her back and ensure her safety. Even going rogue if he has to.
Leila was kidnapped off the streets of Munich and taken back to her father in Iraq. He has plans for her, plans she does not want to abide by. She has had too many years of blessed freedom to be put under the rule of men again. She escaped once, she can escape again, this time with her twin sister.
Michael and Leila have a lot of growing to do on their harrowing escape and adventure. There is much they don't know about one another, and so their devotion and love are tested. Can they both trust one another when each of them has so many secrets kept from the other? This was a heart pounding, hard to put down suspense that had me reading quickly wondering which would win out, their survival or demise. This is the second book in the Wright Heroes of Maine series, and I will be hunting up the first one now.
I was provided a copy of this novel from the author. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.
If you are looking for action with a taste of danger and intrigue look no further. The author has delivered exactly that with much more which makes for an adrenaline rush of a read. I love books that delve into characters who find themselves in danger and must rely on their strength and faith to survive.
Michael is a very strong character who has kept his identity a secret from the woman he has been dating. When she is kidnapped he knows he must go save her. I think he blames himself for her situation and will ignore the warnings of his boss in order to save her.
Leila finds herself whisked across the sea to another country. To her surprise her twin sister is there also. Can you imagine their surprise when they see each other? The two must work together in order to survive. After a phone called is placed, Michael is on his way to recuse the woman he has fallen for. He has a big surprise waiting when he doesn’t have one but two women to recuse.
There are intense moments in the book which made me want to read faster. I appreciate the faith element in the book and the characters never wavered in their trust to God. The book is definitely a hard pounding story with, secrets, twists and an exciting ending.
I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. The review is my own opinion.
Rescuing You: Secrets and Spies in Shadow Cove (the Wright Heros of Maine) - Robin Patchen dialed up the characters, the suspense with this new tale that could be headline news. We met Michael Wright briefly in Running to you. The Wright family thinks he’s a successful salesman with no clue he has been CIA since college. When Michael learns his girlfriend, Leila Amato, has been abducted, he goes off grid to find her, against orders from his superior. But Michael learns she was taken by the very man he has been long searching for, an Iraqi terrorist known only as Vortex. How are they connected? Join the adventure as Michael defies odds, even death, to find Leila hidden away on a compound in the dessert. And the surprise he finds as he comes face to face with Leila’s identical twin, Jasmin (Yasmine). How are these young Iraqi women caught up in the murderous plot of a madman…does their family play a role? Robin has woven a terrific story of unsavory and ruthless men, family secrets hidden by the woman Michael has grown to love, her sister, backlash from his superior, the resentment of his team but peppered with faith, courage, friendship, ultimate trust and love. You won’t be disappointed! I received an ARC of the book and the opinions herein are my own.
Agent Michael Wright has led a secret life. His family didn't know he was a CIA agent; neither did his girlfriend Leila. When Leila is kidnapped by a terrorist group that he had been tracking, Michael feels guilty. Would she have been safe if not for him? Are the terrorists retaliating? Or is something else at play here? "Rescuing You" is the exciting story of Michael's attempt to rescue Leila. There's plenty of action, danger, and secrets. Michael will risk nothing to rescue Leila, but can they still trust each other with the secrets that lie between them? "Secrets made him feel comfortable. Sharing secrets made him feel exposed." I enjoyed the well-written, fast-paced action as well as Michael and Leila's learning to work together, despite their differences, to survive. Also, Michael's family's reaction to his secret(s) was interesting! As Michael calls on his friends, will it be enough to rescue Leila and survive? The book also mentions the plight of many Iraqi refugees--"The problem was so big. The solutions, impossible." I highly recommend this clean, breathtaking, edge-of-your-seat romantic suspense. I received a complimentary ARC of this book and have voluntarily given my honest opinion in this review.
Rescuing You by Robin Patchen is a Christian Romantic Suspense novel. This book is the second book in The Wright Heroes of Maine series. CIA agent Michael Wright finds his world crumbling after his girlfriend Leila gets snatched off the secret.
The pair has secrets they are both keeping. But those secrets eventually come to light as the storyline develops. Leila escaped from Iraq 10 years earlier, but now she finds herself held hostage there again by her father, his brother, and the evil man they want her to marry. Meanwhile, Michael defies the CIA in order to rescue Leila.
The author takes you through twists and turns that help build the suspense throughout this entire book. Michael and his family help make this book interesting to read. I found myself unable to put it down. I can not wait to read the next book in the series.
While you probably could read this book on its own, I recommend reading the books to gain a greater appreciation of the characters.
So if you enjoy works of Christian Romantic Suspense, check out Rescuing You by Robin Patchen for yourself.
I received a complimentary copy of this book, but this in no way influenced my review. All opinions are my own.
"Rescuing You" by Robin Patchen is a thrilling addition to the Wright Heroes of Maine series. As a fan of Patchen's work, I eagerly anticipated the book's release, and I was not disappointed.
The story follows CIA agent Michael Wright whose world is shattered when his girlfriend, Leila, is abducted by a terrorist he's been pursuing. Blaming himself for not keeping her safe, Michael embarks on a dangerous mission to rescue her, even defying his own agency to do so.
Leila, meanwhile, finds herself in a nightmare scenario, captive in Iraq, where she encounters her long-lost twin sister. As Michael races to save her, he discovers that Leila's kidnapping is just a small part of a larger, more sinister plot that threatens countless lives.
Patchen expertly weaves together elements of suspense, romance, and espionage, keeping readers on the edge of their seats from start to finish. The characters are well-developed, and the plot is fast-paced, making it difficult to put the book down. Patchen proves once again why she is a USA Today bestselling author, delivering a story that is both compelling and unforgettable.
I give this book a 4.5 out of 5 stars.
Note: I received a copy of this book from the author and was not required to write a positive review.
Having lived in the Arab world when I was a teenager for a while in the 70's, I was familiar with the way men treat women in that area of the world. It was very hard for me, as an American (especially a teenager) to witness even though I didn't see the violence. I could just imagine what it was like behind closed doors! The women I met were mostly fearful of men but loved their children fiercely. What I know of terrorism now and my knowledge of some Arab men back then, fits with what happens in this story. The terrorists are ruthless in how they get what they want and will stop at nothing. I admired Michael in his relentless pursuit of Leila and her sister. No matter how many times it appeared that she didn't trust him, he still persevered. I also understood Leila's point of view at times because of how she grew up and the things she went through as a refugee the first time when she landed in Germany. She was fearful of men in general so didn't trust easily. There was a lot of action and at times, I was holding my breath wondering how they would all get out of a situation! I appreciated the writing of this author! It was amazing that Michael survived his injuries! I also really like his family and how they are ready to help him no matter what!
I enjoyed this latest story by Robin Patchen in part because the setting and the action was so different from her previous stories. Most of the action takes place in the Middle East where the girlfriend of CIA agent, Michael Wright, has been taken after being kidnapped in Munich. Michael has been told by his boss to stay where he is and let his team find the woman with whom he is falling in love. Like most hard-headed men who are developing strong feelings for a woman, Michael does not view himself in the role of sitting on the sidelines and waiting to see how things play out. He is determined to find her himself and bring her back. Little does he know that he is heading into her backyard where the people holding her have almost limitless power and resources. One wrong move and he risks not only his life but the lives of his girlfriend, her sister, and anyone who is trying to help them. The action is intense and nearly non-stop. At every turn, Michael is being thwarted and having to adjust plans. Although he has spent time in that part of the world, he always had a team with him and ready access to the resources needed to do the job and get out alive. He is the lone wolf against a formidable enemy with only a small part of the facts. The many dilemmas he faces add excitement and tension to the story, keeping me turning pages as fast as possible. I received an advance copy of this book from the author. This is my honest review. All opinions are strictly my own.
Michael Wright zips through desert towns, swims long distances in a river, and dodges bullets, all in order to rescue his girlfriend Leila from terrorists. It's a really good thing that he is a CIA operative! As Leila and Michael share about their pasts, the more surprising it is to see how Leila's family ties are key to an international case that Michael has been involved in for several years.
This is one action-packed adventure from the first page to the last that I couldn't stop reading. While this is the second book of The Wright Heroes of Maine and the first that I have read, it can certainly be read as a standalone. However, there were some mentions to the first book, so I am interested in reading it. I also am looking forward to reading the next book in the series because the Wright brothers are a great sibling team. If you like books with action, romance, and seeing faith in the lives of the characters, you will want to read this book.
I was given a complimentary copy of the book through Celebrate Lit. A positive review was not required. All opinions are my own.
Robin Patchen can be depended upon to write a romantic suspense with Christian elements. Regarding Rescuing You: Secrets and Spies in Shadow Cove (The Wright Heroes of Maine #2), she knocked it out of the park. There are a lot of moving parts in this book (i.e. people, places and cultures). Those parts require much detail to be ingested by the reader so in my case, I couldn't read at my normal speed. Sometimes I'm guilty of reading the high points in a cookie cutter story layout. Man meets woman; woman in distress; man rushes in on a white horse and saves the day; HEA. Blah blah blah. NOT true when you pick up a Robin Patchen novel. There is depth to her stories. The characters are well-developed. The suspense takes you on a white-knuckle ride. In Rescuing You, the heroine is from a mideastern culture. The author wrote in such detail that she held my interest without drowning me in the superfluous. 5 outstanding stars!
I borrowed Rescuing You: Secrets & Spies in Shadow Cove ~ The Wright Heroes of Maine ~ Book 2, by Robin Patchen from the Kindle Unlimited Program.
Michael and Lelia, a hotel manger in Germany have been seeing each other for almost a year and getting serious when Lelia is abducted from outside the hotel wher she works and lives. She is then seen entering a plane with a know Iraqi terrorist willingly and disappears.
Michael, an undercover CIA agent gets a call from her twin to rescue her and the adventure begins when he goes alone to get Leila and the surprise idential twin sister out of Iraq. In the end he calls two of his brothers and his team for help.
I loved the suspense, and the prayers the two women shared with Michael and how they had a better life when they stuck together and how Michael's family welcomed them with open arms and hugs. Rescuing You had a heart warming plot full of nail biting suspense.
Rescuing You, by Robin Patchen, is book two in the Wright Heroes of Maine. This story takes of running right at the start and the action doesn't stop until the end of the story. I enjoyed reading this well written story as it was detailed and easy to imagine. The main characters in the story are likable, strong people who will do anything to help those they love. However, Michael and Leila have developed a strong relationship with many untold truths of their families, personal and professional lives. This story has so much action that I was kept reading to find out what was going to happen next. I enjoyed the parts of the story that told of the sisters' upbringing, how the men in their family acted toward the women and how their Christian faith had to be kept secret. I especially enjoy the Wright family get together as we see the whole family and how they react with each other. I voluntarily received a complimentary copy of this story, this is my honest review.
An exciting, fast-paced thriller, this book deals with terrorists and those caught in their grip. He is willing to risk his life and reputation to rescue her from the clutches of evil men. The novel takes readers on a wild journey fraught with danger and bursting with action. The realistic characters and scenarios add depth and a feeling of authenticity as the plot races to its pivotal conclusion. Will Michael be able to rescue his beloved Leila, and, beyond that, will he be able to halt the enemy’s deadly plans? This riveting tale offers a compelling and clean read without blatant, graphic violence, and grips the emotions and you join in the fight to save the victims. I have not read the first book in this series, but this one certainly made me want to. I received a copy from Celebrate Lit. All opinions are my own.
