His instructions begin in the hotel room.

“Do you have a garter belt?”

“No. But I do have silk stockings that stay up without a garter. Do you want me to wear those?”

He nods. “And your black stilettos, please.”

It’s not until we get in the taxi that he makes his next request. Once he gives the driver an address, he leans in to whisper in my ear. “Take off your panties.”

I am sitting in the taxi in New York City with Ian Blackmon. The Ian Blackmon of Wall Street, Forbes and People magazine renown. Before our chance encounter, I’d never heard of him. Now I see his name and likeness everywhere I look. Before our encounter, I’d never even dreamed of meeting a man like him. Now I share intimate moments with him. Before our encounter, I’d never been tied up and ravished.

Now I am… frequently.

My name is Ella Strong. Welcome to my brand-new world.

I received a free copy of this book for an honest opinion...

Rachel's 4 Star Review

Ian sounds really HOT and there is some great sex, and a vengeful ex girlfriend so yeah, definitely worthy of 4 stars.

Ian meets Ella, and when she calls him Sir, it's the beginning of a beautiful D/s (almost) relationship. Ella is still a virgin and gives it up willingly to Ian. Next date, he decides to show her into his "playroom", She's a little apprehensive but willing to give it a go. All goes well until he's in a pissy mood, really wanting to dominate and decides Ella's ready for the St. Andrews Cross and a whipping. She hates it. When Ian is done he takes her to bed, cares for her, and she leaves in the morning. Literally, leaves the country. She's finished with that shit. She stays away for a year, decides to write a book, 3 1/2 weeks, about her relationship with Ian, and gives it to her friends for Christmas. Cute, quirky, cheap gift. Backfire...they start letting others read it, it goes viral on the internet, and soon Ella has it published and they are making it into a movie. Oh, and yeah, Ian had her sign a non-disclosure statement. Go figure...

Ian meets his sister for lunch on day and guess what's on her kindle? yep, Ella's book...Ian gets his lawyer to file suit against Ella for breach of contract, really just because he wants her back, and she comes back to the states from the UK to meet with her lawyer and Ians lawyer. She ends up meeting with Ian and ends up starting up an affair again.

It get pretty hot, and it's been mostly about sex so far, so it's nice and hot...

~"Your mouth can lie, Ella, but your body betrays you every time. You're very wet." He thrusts a finger inside. "Are you sure you're not excited by the idea of being taken from behind? Picture it, Ella. Your ass high in the air, your wrists cuffed at the small of your back and me firmly behind you, not allowing you to retreat, thrusting, filling, wakening all those dark sensations." He laughs when she clenches tightly around his finger. "Told you so," he whispers, kissing the base of her spine as his hands continue to make her body rev up.

My only complaint with this novel is that there are SOOOO many things going on...almost too many plots. You have Ella's work partner Lucian, Ian's vengeful ex girlfriend Alexis, her uncles who happen to be the father and uncle of Ella's partner Lucian...Ian's company problems, Ian's grandfathers accident...mostly it all intertwines, but then the author goes on to what happens to Alexis in the end, the uncles, Lucian and the Butlers...it just keeps going on and on..almost as if she could have done a complete second book to finish the story and go on with the others... So be warned, in some places the story seems to mimic the energizer bunny. It keeps going and going and going...

First off , first time reading a book from this Author.. and just the name caught me.. Lulu Astor.. Great Job!! My friends also call me Lulu short for Lourdes.

We first meet Ariel (Ella) Strong, innocent until she meets Mr. Ian Blackmon, gorgeous CEO, coming through the doors of the jewelry shop she works for. Not knowing much asks her best friend Mariah about him, that's he's the most notorious Bachelor in Portland, never seen with the same woman twice.

One day he asks her to come to his office after that day at the shop, because he cannot stop thinking about her.

" Ms. Strong—and I have to be honest— ever since that evening, I’ve had trouble getting you out of my mind…“ he perched on the corner of his desk and crossed his arms, “so I asked you here today to consider a proposition I’d like to put forward.”

And of course this has to do with BDSM, she never heard about much but from her friend Mariah, so she signed. Hoping it can work, with this handsome man, but like 3 and half weeks, much time she spent with Ian, until the whipping night. She had enough and left and went about to study, until almost year later she returned to the states, to Los Angeles, not Portland.

But Ian Blackmon did not give up on her, he did find out what happened to Ariel and let her be, he returned to the states, tried to make some changes, and also one night, he need to get out, try to forget Ariel, when that night of all nights, Ariel shows up at the club with her friends, and sees Ian from afar, they meet eyes, and things get hot again between them too, like if they were not apart for so long. Gosh did Ian miss Ariel, and so the feelings mutual. But Ariel gets a proposition of a job to work in New York, and Ian does not like the idea, and this is where all the commotion comes about because his Ex, Natasha, from Russian family, Russian Mafia, and did a lot to sabotage Ian's Blackmon company and life, this story keeps you wanting to change pages, its a page turner, you will not be disappointed, the sex, the love story, the will to trust, and learn from one another, they meet Daniel, who went through a similar story like Ian, and Daniel has Ian's back and helps him to move ahead with his company.

My first read by this author and I loved it, it kept me in suspense, loved the sex scenes, the BDSM, and how Ian and Ella could handle anything as long as there was truth in the relationship. Great Read, you will not be disappointed, long 500 pg E book, but well worth it. Yay!!! 5 Stars!!! I really Loved it!! :)

3.5 for story 4.0 over all

A new author for me, which I always love reading new to me talent. I enjoyed the story .. mostly, its hard for me to get into a story when I don’t care much for the lead character. Again loved the story line, not Ella so much. Granted maybe the Dom should have thought his proposal through and moved on. (smiles)
Ella a virgin, fresh and innocent. That was her saving grace, remember how we all start out as a new sub. Pushing the lines, forgetting the rules. Walking around shocked and embarrassed slipping a giggle in as well.
Ian is a Dom not as intense as I’ve seen ones before but yeah He is a Dom. The train of thought for a lot of BDSM themed stories is something dark or tragic, hell even a broken heart, leads many Dom/subs to the lifestyle.. because its easier supposedly to keep ones feelings locked away.... grins lets see how that works out of Sir Ian.
I really thought that all the characters were filled out and the book length was good if not long (500pgs). I think also it runs you through various emotions a little bit of intrigue.. what romance isn’t complete without the Mafia in it (smiles). I enjoyed the BDSM scenes as well as the love, from the beginning Ella wanted to love and to be loved will she find it in a lifestyle she knows nothing about? Will she find it in the Dom that is afraid to love again?
I would gladly recommend this read to my friends... and Ill be looking for the next installments.. please enjoy.

Sweet Baby Jesus, I am in love with this book. Whewww, When you have BDSM, virgins, Billionaire's, love, Alpha males, scorned lovers, and the Russian Mafia....what more could you ask for? This is a 500 page novel and you will get your HEA but not before you are dragged through hell and back with a big smile on your face. Most often I whine because books are too short to develop the characters, and then when they are longer, you feel the writer has just (yadda, yadda, yadda.) with filler but this is certainly not the case. I loved every last page of this book and never skimmed one page because it was just that impressive/interesting. This writer had something to say and I did not want to miss a thing. You get a POV from both the H/h and you will feel their pain, joy, excitement, anticipation, and the love and lust drips off each and every page.

The secondary characters, (friends and family) are very interesting too. So much in fact, the next three books: Complements, A Force of Nature. and Between us, are all about the supporting friends and family and you can bet I will be reading these books. I love details, suspense, kink, good loving. and good, bad, and ugly folks all included in my book........and trust me, you get all of that and more. I am stingy with my, "5" ratings, so trust me, if I had had more stars, this book deserves it.

The story is indescribable, the characters are swoon-worthy and the writing is amazing!

Writing a book such as this one and so damn well is really difficult. Why? Because the book is written in female and male POV, while the story goes both backwards and forwards! I have said countless time how difficult it is to write a book in 2 POVs, but apparently Lulu Astor has no freaking problem about doing it successfully...Plus, I usually get tired of flashbacks in a book, but this one is The Excemption!...I loved the mystery and not knowing if we're about to go to the past etc.. Everything is so content here..You love every second of it..

As a reviewer, I have to say this book is amazing and I recommend it without a shadow of doubt..

As an editor, I congratulate Lulu and her team that contributed to this exceptional read..

As a reader, well...I am obsessed...And when I have time, I will probably re-read it and re-read it all over again..

5 Stars are not even enough, in my opinion..I am honestly astounded..This book goes beyond my expectations and my limitations...

So no more words..Just go and one-click this delicious masterpiece..You will not regreat this choice!

So I guess you can tell by the cover of this book that this story entails..Well if you guessed Hot Male Alpha Billionare with the taste of Erotica/BDSM you win! Well we all win after reading this book.

Ian Blackmon who works on Wall Street, Mr. Fortune 500 sounds familiar anyway...Ian encounters our heroine in the story Ella Strong and brings Ella into his world of the unknown that Ella could never image.

The book has everything that a reader could want, romance, drama, some mystery and suspense along with and I course you know yourselves but I'll write it anyway...very steamy hot sex scenes. There ya go! I will tell you that it is a long book but as you read the book you get into it more and more and it doesn't seem to be so long.

This is the first book that I have read from Lulu and highly enjoyed it. I received a gifted copy from the author for a honest review.

One of the best books of this genre I have ever read. There's just enough of everything; the tension is just right, the characters are really believable, I LOVE the main character with a passion, she's amazing. And the more sexually graphic scenes...well, let's just say I needed more than one cold shower after reading.
I love the male main character too, he's just right. Not too domineering, but not too soft either. Perfect.
Lulu Astor is a very talented writer, I love the way she writes and I think she deserves A LOT more credit and recognition than she gets now. A++ recommend.

Blimey what a fantastic story this was. Although it's a long read I found it didn't take me too long to read it. I couldn't read this fast enough.

This is a story full of drama, romance, suspense and lots of hot sexy scenes. There is loads going on in this book so hold onto your seat for a rollercoster ride.

I've not read anything by this author before. This is a great book if your looking for hot and steamy with bdsm. I loved it.

I just finished this today. All the way through I couldn't help noticing the similarities to Twilight and 50 Shades. It's not surprising I guess.

All in all the book was ... fun. I found the ending a bit lame. I thought that it all worked out a little evenly. If I happen across anything else written by Ms Astor I'll probably pick it up for a read but I won't actively seek it.

Plot had promise but weak writing and atrocious editing. This book could have been at least 200 page shorter. Full of repetitions, unnecessary ramblings, poor (and contradictory at times) character development, confusing jump between first and second person narration and mostly dull sex scenes (aren't those one of the main reasons to read these books?), I actually skipped most of the later ones.

Whilst I liked this book and enjoyed the different POV at each chapter also found the repetition of the story a bit frustrating wanting to move forward rather than relive scenes. Despite that was a good read
