A bull brought him to me, but will his wild heart push me away? He’s the rodeo’s bad boy, and I'm just the girl caught in his storm.
When danger throws us together, our worlds collide in a spark of desire. Muscles, charm, and a reputation that precedes him... But beneath the swagger, I glimpse a vulnerability that draws me in. Yet, there's a university, my job, and the whirlwind that is Daniel. With every rodeo, every late night, the secrets he holds tight are unraveling. But as we draw closer, his past threatens to pull us apart. Will love be our anchor or our storm?
Somehow I expected swirling sawdust, bucking bulls, wild horses and a guy who knows how to handle it all.
The story turned out a bit different.
It's a warm romance between two people from other sides of the track. Their fight for love and their HEA is difficult, because both have skeletons in their respective cupboards.
Both carry a lot of hurt and their personal problems with them and I was interested enough to find out, if they managed to get through all of it.
The story kept me turning the pages all the way to the end, but I never felt close enough to Amanda or Daniel to truly care for the two.
To be perfectly honest, I would have preferred more romance and less of a crime story. Which is personal taste.
It was a good read on a rainy Sunday afternoon nonetheless.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions are my own.
This just didn't do anything to me, it just feels like it jumped around and never really got me drawn into the story. I found myself just skimming to get it done.
