Growing up the third child of five—yes, smack dab in the middle and the only girl to boot—Donna Fasano had no idea she would one day be a published author. Her story-telling talents came to light when she conjured lively and elaborate tales of pure blarney (yes, she has a bit of Irish in her blood) for her children.

The Single Daddy Club: Derrick (The Single Daddy Club #1)
I thought this was a very cute read, it moved pretty fast but for a short story it was a good. Things moved a little fast for me but again in a short story it much. It was pretty predictable but did have a great plot that I really enjoyed. I wouldn’t say it was an outstanding read, just a nice sweet read that you will enjoy.

Derrick a navy man who took on his best friends child when he died in war. Not having any children of his own he is a little clueless but is willing to learn. His friends are single fathers as well for one reason or another. Together they are trying to do their best. When his godson gets in trouble at school he turns to the teacher for help. Things move on and they get close but Anna has her reason for not wanting a relationship. Can Derrick get through to her to make her believe they can have a lasting relationship?

The word flow is easy, the characters are very likeable, at times humorous. I did find a few chuckles in this read. I love a story that reminds us of things that are important which are not always as we believe. . If you are looking for a fast easy fun loving read with a few lessons in life than this is the book for you.

The Single Daddy Club: Jason (The Single Daddy Club #2)
I totally adore this second installment of the Single Daddy Club it was funny, cute with a wonderful reminder of what is important and no matter what you think you should always stand your ground for what you believe in. We can’t read people’s minds so we do not know what they feel or think until we put the problem on the table. We should never run away from our problem, they will work out in some way if we just believe in ourselves and do what is right as Katie finds out.

The author writes about some real life issues which are tough to not only deal with but talk about. I felt the author did a wonderful job of working these issues out and reminding us to not let a bully win.

Jason is a wonderful man who is a widow and is taking care of his little girl. He is over whelmed and needs some help. His last baby setter just walked out, when Katie shows up she is a godsend. Being a cop he does check her out, when things turn out she is on the up and up he hires her on the spot. Things are working out wonderful, they work well together and get very close that is until the day he finds out her secret and things start falling apart.

Katie is a sweet heart, a wonderful women who needs some me time. She is on the run from her family who is trying to make her marry a man she doesn’t want to. She hears about Jason needing a setter, just what the doctor ordered in her book. She starts working for him and falls in love with both his daughter and him. She doesn’t give her real name and now it is to late to do so.

The author writes a wonderful story with a little mystery and a whole lot of humor and love. This story flows so easy that you have to read it all at one setting. The author leaves you with a big smile on your face. Sometimes the good cop wins…..

The Single Daddy Club: Reece (The Single Daddy Club #3)
I enjoyed this it was a wonderful read about learning to trust again. When one it hurt in the worse way by the one you love walking out on you is bad enough but to walk out on your child has to be the hardest to handle. For Reece it was a blow not only to his ego, his manhood but to his son as well. They do not need woman and won’t let any in their lives. Reece didn’t know he was teaching his son bad habits and turning him away from women. He learns the error of his ways when a woman comes in for an insurance claim and he ends up moving her in his home because someone is out to get her destroying her personal property. Both father and son need an attitude adjustment and Maggie is the women to fit the bill.

This was a nice short read that is enjoyable and keeps you guessing along with wanting to shake a few males. It does hold a lesson on what our actions teach those around us. How small children learn from us.
I really have enjoyed this whole series. I highly recommend it to readers who want a little enjoyment without all the heavy stuff.

I love Donna Fasano's romances, I'm a big fan, have been since I discovered her as an Harlequin author.

This was a wonderful romance about conquering deep set fears and apprehension.

Derrick is the guardian of his godson, Timmy, who, after his father's death, struggles from aggresive behaviour at school. Enter Timmy's teacher Anna who does all she can to help Derrick acclimatize to his new role as 'daddy'.

An entertaining read full of emotion.

Jason is the second book in this exciting new series by Donna Fasano. I have to say I loved this one even more than book one, but only just.

In this book Donna tells us of Jason's sad story. Of the love he lost when his wife and the mother of his child died and the trepidation he feels about getting involved again. Being a police officer he has to juggle his work with looking after Gina the toddler. He can't do this alone though and has to employ baby-sitters/nannys but they keep quitting on him.
Then Katie comes into his life, she comes from a wealthy family and has led a very pampered life until now. She finds herself disguising her past and giving him a false identity just to escape her other life. As Jason's reliance on Katie becomes stronger and their true feelings are revealed, someone close to Jason tries to do all they can to break them up.

What will happen when Katie/Katherine's true identity is revealed? I guess you'll have to read the book to find out. :-)

Review for Reece.

What a wonderful romance. I thoroughly enjoyed all the books in The Single Daddy Series - hopefully Ms. Fasano will take the hint and get her finger out and write some more. :-)

Reece has been sworn off women for a while. His reluctance to trust has had a damning influence on his young son. But, when PI Maggie Dunlap calls in to Reece's Insurance office to complain that her insurance claim has been rejected, feelings he never thought he'd feel again suddenly resurface.

An excellent romance that I would highly recommend over and over again.

I purchased a copy of the short novel Single Daddy Club book 3: Reese by Donna Fasano and this review was given freely.
Psychology, suspense, and a little steam. A fitting end to the series. Insurance investigator Reese meets his match when private investigator Maggie storms into his office to dispute a vandalism claim. Fate and attraction bring divorced single dad Reese and Maggie closer as they try to solve Maggie's mysterious break ins and work to correct the twisted misconceptions each has of the opposite sex.

The Single Daddy Club is a series about three single men raising children on their own. I liked that they encouraged and supported each other with child raising issues and life in general.

These books show how hard it was to become a single parent and the problems that could arise. Parenting is not an easy road but it is rewarding. These men could handle anything in their fields but raising children was a different story altogether. Even with all the tough times these men had, they kept going to make life better for the children. I liked the characters in these books and couldn't help but feel sorry for the men when they ran into particularly difficult situations with the kids.

I liked that they all found women and the stories ended happily. I enjoy romances with children. If you do, these will leave you smiling.

Derrick

Derrick’s whole adult life was dedicated to his naval career until his cousin passed away and he became guardian to five year old Timmy. Not knowing the first thing about raising a child, Derrick finds himself asking Timmy’s teacher Anna for tips. Nothing surprised him more than the chemistry between them, but every time he gets close to Anna, she tries to push him away. Derrick is not giving up though, he knows what he wants and it’s Anna.

Jason

Widower Jason Devlin is in desperate need of a babysitter or his young toddler Gina. As a police officer, his hours vary and from the look of his house he needs one today. When Katherine “Katie” Wellingford shows up on his door, he isn’t sure if he hit the jackpot or not but an instant connection is made with her. Jason is having a hard time letting go of the memories of his wife, but everything about Katie intrigues him, but Katie has not been quite truthful with who she is and I she wants to become an important part of Jason’s and Gina’s life she needs to confess, before it is too late.

Reece

Reece Newton has done away with women, he spends all his efforts caring for his son Jeff. When an insurance claim goes haywire, Maggie Dunlap storms into his office demanding compensation for her ruined video recorder. For the first time in a very long time, Maggie feels for the radiant woman who is of all things a private investigator. Reece tells himself to stay away, but he can’t seem to and when he finds out that Maggie is being stalked he quickly announces she will stay with him. A man who is not looking to become involved and a temptress in the same house is enough to ignite a few fires, if both are willing to trust one another. Their journey is not without a few struggles, especially when both become embroiled in a mystery.

The first book, Jason, was clean and romantic. Teacher meets a father. The Third, Reese, was a bit steamy for me. Not clean enough for my taste.

It was a pretty good read but the only knowing someone for a ouple of weeks and falling in love and asking them to get married seemed a little far fetched.
