What Readers have been
“Anyone who cares about our future and the future of our kids should read this book.” - Greg Foss, Financial Strategist & Thought Leader
“I thought I knew about money. I was wrong! I had no idea about the repercussions of our money, not just on markets, business and politics, but on the fabric of our very being. Mind blown!” - Daz Bea, Financial Educator
Seb Bunney’s “The Hidden Cost of Money” is not merely another book about Bitcoin; it is a profound and necessary critique of the modern monetary system, serving as a powerful intellectual bridge between the systemic problems we face and the elegant solution offered by decentralized digital currency. While many Bitcoin books focus on the technical “how,” Bunney masterfully addresses the crucial “why,” making a compelling case that our current financial architecture is the root cause of widespread societal, psychological, and environmental distress.
This book is essential reading for anyone who feels the creeping anxiety of economic instability, the pressure of a rising cost of living, or the frustration of a system that seems fundamentally rigged. Bunney argues that “Everything is downstream of money,” a central thesis that re-frames nearly every modern problem—from short-term political thinking to the erosion of the family unit—as a consequence of our broken, centrally-controlled fiat currency. Well done Seb!
An excellent reminder to what many of us intuitively know: there are consequences to the record of time we call money. The system is ripe for exploitation and has a well documented history of such abuses. Sebastian does a great job introducing the reader to the history of money and offers potential paths forward into what the medium may look like in the future. Spoiler alert: It's bleak if we don't change course. I recomend it an introduction to all things money and as a catalist for futher exploration research into the topic.
