Syd Brixton has bigger problems than trying to prove she’s not a terrorist.

In the aftermath of Flight 444’s crash, Syd and her fellow time travelers have become the target of an FBI investigation, suspected of orchestrating the disaster they miraculously survived.

But the FBI probe is nothing compared to the final blow that shatters Syd's world: her young son, Christopher, is kidnapped and whisked a decade into the past. With the talisman lost during the plane crash and her ability to timeblink gone with it, Syd’s hopes of finding her little boy crumble.

In the grips of despair, Syd comes face-to-face with Christopher’s abductor who chillingly reveals that Syd’s past use of the talisman has attracted the wrong kind of attention. Now, along with Christopher's uncertain fate, the very essence of timeblinking is at risk of exploitation, potentially sparking global chaos.

Adding to the impossible situation is Syd’s growing affection for Jarett, the Seattle cop she met on the ill-fated flight who wants to help her find Christopher, even as memories of Morley linger in Syd’s heart. Never has she felt more powerless.

Will Syd be able to protect her family and stop the catastrophic ripples she unwittingly set in motion? Or will her efforts prove a futile struggle against the flow of time?

Find out how the past, present, and future collide in Dragonfly, the thrilling conclusion to The Syd Brixton TimeBlink series.

About the author

M.J. Mumford

4 books11 followers
MJ Mumford is a fiend for psychological thrillers, page-turning suspense, and time travel stories with a dash of romance.
It was this passion that led to her debut novel, TimeBlink, a blend of all three genres in one narrative. Realizing there was more story to tell, MJ seized the challenge and created three more entries in The Syd Brixton TimeBlink series: Flight 444, Dragonfly, and a prequel novella, Talisman, which reveals how fan-favorite, Dr. Morley Scott, stumbled upon the power of timeblinking.
While MJ dreams of the day when timeblinking leaps off her pages and becomes a reality, she satisfies her wanderlust by exploring the tangible world alongside her husband, Alistair. In quieter moments, MJ enjoys the down-to-earth pleasures of reading, cooking, yoga, and supporting other independent businesses.

I can’t believe this series is finished!

I can’t believe the Syd Brixton TimeBlink series is finished! I could read these books over and over again. Dragonfly, the third (and final) book is ingenious. I really give MJ Mumford for not only writing a time travel series, but sticking to the rules!!! No spoilers here - this is a “you gotta read for yourself” teaser. The characters and story line will stick with you. Truly, an unforgettable read.

I started M.J.Mumford's timeblink series when a friend bought me the first two books for my birthday. Usually I avoid time travel in fiction because it's so easy for story tellers to get it wrong. M.J.Mumford however gets it absolutely right! The first two books were brilliant and the third concludes the series perfectly. I was worried I wouldn't like the ending but I loved it. Great book. Great series.

This was a great way to end the series. This whole series derserves a lot more recognition than it gets. Dragonfly gave me everything I wanted: action, romance, and more time with some of my favourite characters ever! It did get a bit confusing, but I don't mind that; I simply keep reading and then it all makes sense. Thank you for the chance to review this book!

Satisfying and weird double ending

I enjoyed the series, and downloaded the alternate third book ending which I also enjoyed. Sometimes I think all of us have an occasional slip through the multiverse. Mumford's books are new to me, but I'm putting her on the "keep an eye on" list. Really a fascinating series.

Received as a review copy from Story Origin, this is an honest review. While I found this entertaining, the first two of this trilogy were better in the whole time travel and mixing the present day threads that got more complex as we journeyed along.

This will be short. Brilliant series. Brilliant third book. A TV series in the making. Loved them all, and there's room for some more. I like the fact that there's always at least one big surprise, and I mean BIG. See for yourself. You'll mis out if you don't.

❤️💜🤗 The apotheosis!!

August 29, 2024:

In the middle of the afternoon, lying unconscious on the ground, Syd slowly began to emerge, attentive to some sensations, smells, noises, people talking...

She didn't want to wake up anymore...
