This memoir is a series of anecdotes covering the author's thirty-eight years as a law enforcement officer with the Alberta Fish and Wildlife Service.
His adventures dealing with criminals and animals are interesting, educational, and sometimes humorous and heart-wrenching. The job of game warden is not a walk in the park - it is tough and dangerous work. The call outs in the middle of the night, working in sub-zero weather, and dealing with armed poachers while alone must be stressful. And, as the author relates, with all the effort put into investigations, often the results are not satisfactory.
I very much enjoyed reading this book and rate it 5/5.
