The final book in the NEW YORK TIMES bestselling series by H.M. Ward
Blackmail. Sex. Ferro. Time is my enemy and I won’t waste another second. I have a choice to make: a life with Neil or what’s left of life with Bryan. I make my decision, but could lose everything when the one Ferro I never want to see interferes. I feel like my life is spiraling out of control, but this could lead to what I’ve been searching for all along—hope.
H.M. Ward continues to reign as a NEW YORK TIMES bestselling author who surpassed more than 23 million books sold, placing her among the literary titans. Ward has been featured in articles in the NEW YORK TIMES, FORBES, and USA TODAY to name a few.
Ok so it's taken me a whole 24 hours to decide what I should put as my review as frankly words fail me. To say I've been left wanting is an understatement.
I've had one major beef with this series from the start and that is that it is not a Ferro book - I don't, and never have, felt the book is about Bryan. It's been a Hallie book featuring a Ferro.
I found this, and the last few Arrangement books predictable and quite frankly they've felt rushed. I don't doubt Holly's commitment to her writing and her fans. I fell in love with Holly when I read Damaged but as a fan I'd much rather wait longer for a more substantial read. These five books could of been made into two decent books or a risky trilogy at a push but five is dragging it out and then yet again the final installment has left me with more questions than answers and quite a bit of face palming.
There are a couple of elements I just don't even feel were relevant and don't get the point of them.
I fear my frustration is turning me off as a reader unless I know it's going to be a standalone. I was really hoping for great things as I loved Second Chances (the collaboration with Stacey Mosteller) and even saw glimpses of why I fell in love with HM Ward books in the first place but this has just reminded my why I'm struggling to be bothered anymore.
I suggest you forego the boxes of kleenex and just pull out a face (crying) towel instead! This latest and final volume continues from where we left off in Volume 4 - yes with our jaws dropped to the floor.
I think I cried the whole way through, there was shock, mystery and deep threaded fear - as we have come to expect and love about H.M Ward... So aside from crying you fully live in the moments. You feel every breath, every tear, every ache. At one point you may even have extreme joy. Just when you think you know what's going to happen, something completely and totally unexpected happens that throws the drama in our face, like we have become to expect... Although, this you totally won't expect. Just when you think you're done crying, you're not.
Once again, Holly has outdone herself. Last I looked she was #5 or 6 on the best sellers list - which you wouldn't expect anything less. As always this has been a series compressed of 5 novellas that are packed full of emotion, love, hate, drama, shock and oh some heavy duty smoking sex scenes. Also, the crossovers were fantastic.
You fall even more in love with someone else too. But, hey, for all you know I'm not telling an ounce of truth. So it's up to YOU to read it. Buy it today!!!
I was sad that this series ended since the characters had a history and I felt it was true love. Why couldn't the Arrangement end in 5 volumes and keep this series going?!?!?!?! The Author needs to stop mass producing all these short volumes and complete it in 1 or 2 volumes!!!!!! Arghhh sorry...I am frustrated! Needless to say it was a nice read but felt it was a rush to finish the story....like I said...this one should have been longer.
This is a review for all 5 parts of the series. I don't like romances with sad endings. I read this type of book to get the happy ending. The romance was good. I loved Bryan. This story lacked a lot of details for anything going on that wasn't related to the romance. I didn't like Hallie. Her boyfriend Neil was a complete and utter douchebag. No matter what that asshole did she wouldn't leave him. I have no respect for someone like that.
wow!!! I'm a huge HM Ward fan and I'm truly disappointed by this book. I've spent way more money on HM Ward books than I have on any other writer, do to her mini updates. However I love the ferro's, but this ending was truly a let down and If the other ones end like this, I will be ending my relationships with HM Ward
I couldn't be more annoyed with this book. The first thing that is irritating as a reader is the way in which you find out information about the main characters in other books, Sean's revelation is a pretty significant one, but not in the arrangement series, which makes me believe that the author is forcing the reader to purchase all of her series to know what is going on. Robbery is what that is. This did not have to be a serial...it could have been one novel and been done. To have Bryan die the way he did was crazy to me, he had a brain tumor that was terminal...gunshot wound was the way he had to go?! And to have the gun he uses be the one that killed Amanda Ferro? Finally making the Sean who sometimes is but sometimes isn't an asshole finally redeemable? Funny but this isn't his book and Avery isn't here to witness it so it's moot to me. And to place the blame on Bryan, even though no one believes he did it...and Sean told us that she committed suicide in one of the 14 arrangement installments but he never corrected the police when they accused him Because he didn't want to tarnish her name but now she was murdered?!!! Come on! How on earth can one family have all of these things happen to them, each Ferro make losing their one true love?!!!! Insane. I am angry at myself That I wasted 20 minutes reading this.
Oh look something like dust is in my eyes and i cant stop crying while finished this
From all the Ferry Family series i have read so far this must be the one that totally left me broken and sad.
Dear Bryan this is for you and your story
''And I had this incredible experience of moving up into a misty sort of area, and then becoming aware that I was in a tunnel. And it was totally peaceful, it was a place of absolute compassion''
I have mixed feelings about this book. I love H.M books and can talk about them all day but, how this particular book ended I wasn't quite thrilled about it. I'm a huge fan of the Ferror family and love the drama that goes on between all of them but I was disappointed with how this series ended. Overall I still love H.M just not crazy bout this books ending.
I didn't see this coming, not even from a mile away. This book was so exciting I couldn't stop. The events that unfolded in this book were so heart stopping. The books were finally about Hallie & Bryan and boy did the author take this somewhere unexpected. This book is meant to be read after Arrangement 14. I had already read 14 but decided to glance through 14 to see where the events fall into place. If anything this book will more affect book 15. The events in 14 really don't mean anything to this book, but after what happened in this book the remainder of the Ferro Family books will be changed. I'm still in shock over what happened. As a series I'm not sure how I feel about these 5 books. Even the epilogue of this book lends itself that there is more to come. To me it feels incomplete. As a series I feel like I didn't really get a conclusion, that the story is not over. This book just made me even more excited to continue the Ferro Family saga. This felt more like leaving on a cliff than an ending. My opinion is if you are reading this as a standalone series good luck, if you are continuing on I can't wait to see where this will lead.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy of this book.
Oh gosh.....
This was such an emotional story. I thought the 4th one brought me to tears. That one had nothing on this one. My love for Bryan Ferro will be forever. Bryan was my very first Ferro. The other Ferros I have only met through this serial and that me tell you I am not happy with them. Bryan is a powerful jerk on the outside but he is caring and sweet on the inside. He did such amazing selfless and heart stopping things for Hallie and Sean. I could not be more in love with him! 3
Hallie was such a great heroine. She was ferociously loyal to anyone she loved. She had a strength in her that you miss with a lot of heroines I have but reading lately. I am going to miss her character.
This book was missing the fantastic sex that the other volumes had but I might say that it made this one even better. You got to focus on Bryan and Hallie. They finally get their moments together and it's just that. Them.
If you thought that you knew or even had an idea how this was going to end your wrong. Don't even try and guess. You'll be wrong. Holly manages to surprise you all the way to the end. This is a serial so she only has so many pages to work with and she still manages to keep you on your toes. She makes you hate, makes you love, makes you hope, and makes you keep reading. My heart is still in pieces on the floor but it was worth it.
Such a great serial. I wish a lot of things could have been different but I also wouldn't want to change the amazingness of this book. Make sure you pick them up! I will put more of a review on here once more people have read it. I don't want to spoil anything.
Overall: Hallie has learned a Ferro secret and his family thought she already knew it and Bryan and Hallie find out it's the reason that they were pulled apart from each other. Hallie also starts laying down hints about Bryan and his sickness and soon enough he has a team of doctors that are telling him that he might have a chance. Just when you think that everything might work out, something really bad happens and it leaves you with an empty feeling and a lot of questions. The very end kind of makes up for it and I truly hope there is more written about Hallie, Maggie and baby Bryan.
Pros: This is so wrong, but I wasn't upset to read that Neil and Ceily were dead in Hallie's bed in mid sex. I felt a certain satisfaction that he finally got what was coming to his pompess ass. The very last chapter was heartfelt and left you with an ending that can lead to more from this series. I wish the author would've skipped ahead a few years so we could read about what happened to them.
Cons: The ending just broke my heart into a million pieces and more. I really started to understand Hallie and Bryan better and than BAM he's gone for good. I personally wish that there would've been a better ending written for them and that they got just a little more time to be together.
I bought this as soon as it was available and I was blown away! I was itchy the night before just thinking about this story, just wondering how Ward was going to tie things up and I was not disappointed. I made sure to have a box of tissues by my side and settled in and man, it wasn't long before I was reaching for them. What a storyteller she is! Holly weaves so many storylines, so many Ferros together, you just have to figure out who goes where.. Prop 5 gave me hope, then took it away..perfect!! I love that it kept me guessing the whole time.. I'm still guessing..I love all of the Ferros ( except maybe momma Constance ) and I think there is way more to this story than we know.. Me thinks HM Ward is a Master Storyteller as well as a trickster ;) Also, I loved the ending and that might make me a little weird, but I feel its a beginning! Thanks Ward, as always, you rock!
Incredible! How Holly Ward can write about so many different types of characters and have them all intertwine, it's absolutely mind blowing! Proposition 5 has all the answers that we're desperate to know. Bryan and Hallie have lived through struggles and disappointments, tears and humility, strength and laughter. No, this review will not have any spoilers but I can say that I've always loved a great epilogue. H.M. Ward did NOT disappoint me. There are so many angels, so many twists and turns, Holly could've done so many things with this story. I'm just thankful that she wrote it this way. Holly you're one classy lady. Congrats! You've officially stolen my heart, driven my brain batty, and convinced my family to hide my e-reader!!! Another must read!
I think this is one of H.M. Ward's best books! The love these characters shared makes your heart sing with joy and sadness! Bryan and Hallie are the modern version of Romeo and Juliet! With all the drama in the Ferro family you can't help but be sucked in. Bryan was selfless in the end saving everyone he loved! And Maggie in the end is there for her friend, and sister when disaster strikes again. Now will Hallie's secret stay s secret? We will just have to wait and see! I am never disappointed in any of H.M. Ward's books! This is a must read! You will be blown away!
With every H.M. Ward book, we all know to expect the unexpected. This book doesn't disappoint. This final book of The Proposition series reveals many Ferro secrets!!
I thought I would be sad when this series ended but, the reasons for how everything played out were explained. Although it wasn't the outcome I hoped for I understand why it happened. And you will be taken on an emotional roller coaster ride!
I hope we get some of Bryan's story from Montana!!!
This book concluded The Proposition series. It was good and very fast-paced. A few questions have come up now related to the death of Amanda Ferro, which I'm assuming will play out in The Arrangement or one of the other Ferro series. I won't say how it ends, but will repeat that it DOES end. I was getting lost in all the Ferro series, so I'm glad to have one completed. If you started this series, it is worth reading to see how it concludes.
My heart is shattered in pieces on the floor.... WTF!?!?!? I had an idea what was going to happen from reading The Arrangement 16 before this series, but was seriously hoping for a different outcome!
Felt a little anticlimactic for me. Once The Arrangement series is done, I believe I am done with these books. H M ward is a genius but I need a book, not a serial to sink my teeth into.
Holly has done it again!! Wow I got this book today and could not put it down it was a must finish. I laughed and cried throughout this one but I love how Bryan became a man, lover and a hero all in one.
i hate how these "books" are set up, it's incredibly annoying and not worth it. The story is fine, but it didn't leave me wanting to read more of the ferro clan
Where do I start? When I finished the novella (1 hour) I was so disappointed that I wanted to rate it 1 star but it was so well written I couldn’t do it in good conscience. However, I can still lambaste you for false advertising. What I thought was going to be a true ending ( did they make it to Montana, did the Ferro’s find out about baby Bryan, maybe they did, find out but did they do right by them, etc. ) but nnoooo ... it turned out to be the last chapters of the Proposition 4!! Bummer
But I love the characters anyway so I’ll keep reading 😊

I read all five books in one day,,I couldn't put them down,,intill I was done,,I wish there was more,,on where and how Avery,Maggie,And baby bryan, life went afterwards,,,,there wonderful books,,I laughed and then I cryed,,I would recommend this book to everyone to read,,
Such a wonderful installment to this book but such a shitty ending! Sorry but I read romance for the HEA’s. I’m so hoping somewhere in this convoluted Ferro series that Bryan and Hallie are reunited and that there was a reason and purpose for Bryan’s death.
