- From Kindle Storyteller Award Winner, G J Ogden -

A bad decision. An alien treasure. A mistake that could destroy the galaxy…Hudson Powell is a freelance starship pilot with no prospects, but a hunger to prove himself. So, at thirty-eight years old, he decides to turn his life around and join the Relic Guardian Force as a rookie officer.

That was a huge mistake.

Established to police the alien hulks found on every portal world discovered in the last century, the RGF ensure relic hunters pay taxes on the priceless alien tech they scavenge.

The problem is that the RGF is corrupt, and its a-hole officers are even deadlier than the star scavengers who plunder the wrecks, seeking their fortune.

Fed up with his obnoxious training officer – the most unlikable man in the galaxy – Hudson quits and enters the exhilarating world of the relic hunters, where he meets the intoxicating and deadly mercenary Tory Bellona.

But the discovery of a mysterious crystal will set events in motion that cannot be undone. An alien power of planet-destroying force, lost and wandering for eons, is about to be awakened.

And Hudson is to blame.

People stopped asking where the alien wrecks had come from. People stopped asking who created the interstellar portals, and why.

Hudson will discover that some alien relics are best left buried.

Firefly meets Indiana Jones in this epic sci-fi action-adventure with a unique alien invasion twist. Combining Star Scavengers and Star Guardians, this epic ten-book set covers the complete voyages of relic hunter, Hudson Powell.- Ten books with 4,300 global 5-star ratings as a single boxed set! -

Star Heroes: super box set is a super read.
Mr. Ogden has created a masterpiece sci-fi opera! I’m 75 and have devoured sci-fi since I attained sentience, this is among the most enjoyable reads I’ve had!

The characters are deep and prickly, you can readily commiserate or detest them. They are likely alcoholic though! They evolve throughout the series.

The premise is engrossing and unique. The plot is full of action and interesting twists. It is easy to imagine yourself in the locals, they are vividly described.

There are very few negatives I’ll let you discover them if you can. I’m a picky reader.

This is a great way to get 2 series that were a blast to read. Really felt for Hudson and all the "fun " he had.
Star Scavenger: I loved this series. I was an entertaining and interesting read that kept me reading to the end just to see what would show up next. There was lots of action, danger, mystery and suspense. It stars Hudson as a honest man working for the dishonest Relic Guardian Force. Of course things go wrong that kept me amused for most of the book. All the characters introduced were interesting and fun to love and hate. The characters I both loved and hated throughout the series all have a part to play. I love Hudson and love how he has ended up in the middle of everything and so important to saving the universe. I loved the action, pacing and how it all ends. This story like the rest of the series just grabs your attention and keeps it to the end. Just a fun fast paced story that I really enjoyed.

Star Guardians : This series was a blast to read. Hudson Powell and Tory Bellona are on the hunt for relics but always manage to find trouble way to easily along the way. They spend a lot of time running from their enemies and finding out secrets. Lots of action, danger, intrigue, and near death to get sucked into And had to see who would show up to cause trouble and mayhem. Then there is Goliath causing trouble too and on his way to destroy Earth which these two end up trying to save in the craziest way possible due to the trouble they find and cause. Loved the chaos and the adventure. Loved getting early copy to enjoy and I honestly enjoyed both series.

Where to start. First, I slogged my way through all 10 'books' - if you can call them that. Each book/chapter felt like they were part of a serialized story for some sci-fi magazine that had been pulled together into books with a lot of repetition of back story that you already knew.

The characters were not well defined and did not really grow throughout the books. The author spent too much time telling me what the people were thinking and feeling rather than letting me get to know them through their words and actions.

The language was juvenal and gross throughout the series; while I know some think this is normal language, it is not in my world. And so much of the dialogue was so repetitive that I had trouble staying awake or really paying attention to what was going on. It did nothing to endear me to the characters or add to the story line.

The author used too many adjectives and analogies. It really kept me from using my own imagination. Further, most of them were jarringly out of sync with time frame of the story. They were from our current time which kept yanking me back into the here and now rather than letting me stay in the story.

Every twist and turn was predictable; the only mystery was how it might happen. That is what kept me going - to find out how the author reached the conclusion without any surprise to what the conclusion would be.

Good Series

Just finished Star Heroes. I'm glad it was in a box set with all the books. It would have been tough to end one book and open the next to start reading again. I know... poor me! I'm saying that because it was that good. I really enjoyed the series. It has characters you care about. A couple could have been fleshed out a bit more. But overall, it was a good read. It's funny, which is a definite plus in my book. Pardon the pun. Has good action. In a way, I wish I hadn't read it. So I could read it now and enjoy it again. I know every one of you has felt that way a time or two. So I recommend you read the series and enjoy it for me.

If you like the phrase "...hit back", boy do I have a book for you

Not sure if this is a writing challenge, where someone bet the author he couldn't have every character respond with the dialogs tag "hit back" at least fifty times, like it's a verbal version of tennis...

Between that and the constant reference to drinking, like the main characters are preteens, who have just discovered their father's liquor cabinet, I found myself generally wondering if this was written by AI with some stock sci fi prompts and a budweiser commercial.

Mostly entertaining, but...

For some reason, the further I got in this set, the more errors crept in. Improper or incorrect words, grammatical mistakes. When I encounter stuff like that, it brings out the inner editor in me. Kind of makes it difficult to continue reading, but I did manage to finish reading the set. Overall, it was mostly predictable but with occasional surprises.

I'm actually sorry that this is over!

It's been an incredible journey, throughout G J Ogden's Space Heroes Sci-Fi Book set. He wrote a series that will keep you reading without getting bored. The exploits of his characters keep everything flowing perfectly with lots of twist and unexpected turns. This is not a series with lots of science just good old fashion
Sci-fi with tons of ACTION!

This was a captivating journey that I didn’t want to end. The author’s talent for world-building is extraordinary, pulling you into a vibrant and engaging setting. The characters were well-developed, with rich backstories that made them feel real. I’m still thinking about it days later. Simply outstanding!

Good read

Good read but a little disappointed, as with soo many other series these days the editing fell off considerably even ideas where forgotten and reintroduced later differently.
All in all it was a good read. 📚

I was completely captivated by this from the very first chapter. The emotional complexity of the characters and the intricate relationships were handled masterfully. It’s rare to find something that makes you both think and feel deeply.

I enjoyed the series but it wasn’t as good as some of the others
It was a bit repetitive with scenes and how it played out and the whiskey drinking yikes!!! But it had heart

I liked the fact that it covered a lot of different twists and turns throughout the series. And it involved lots of space travel.

Fast action SciFi

Ten books forming two half's of one complete story . Not for those looking for deep and meaningful but a must for those who want fast gritty action and a bit of homour.
