The whole series is one of my all time favorite why choose romances ever but hearing all ELEVEN of the novellas and shorts on audio in a row with FIVE different voices in DUET was such a hot and panty melting experience!! Each story is a fun and steamy little update with Jessie and her husbands after the series ends while also getting to watch their family grow. I’m calling this audiobook smut with AMAZING Irish accents. It’s that SCORCHING HOT🔥🔥

📖This audiobook is not a novel but a collection of all of the bonus shorts and novellas that take place AFTER the HEA in the The New York Ruthless series. That series is a dark mafia, why choose romance that follows Jessie and the 4 Ryan brothers who are part of the Irish mafia. While the Ryan Recollection can be listened to on its own, I do HIGHLY recommend reading the whole series first to really enjoy this group of characters and understand their background. Some things will be spoiled in this if you have not read that.

🎧THIS AUDIOBOOK IS JUST OUTSTANDING!!! The MULTICAST narration in DUET truly made this audio an experience as you get to enjoy all 5 characters with their own voices!!

Having read this series, the casting for this audiobook was phenomenal as each narrator truly fit their character’s personalities from the whole series! On top of it, each of the men also use an Irish accent to narrate the brothers as they are part of the Irish mafia. And let me tell you, hearing their voices with that accent was so damn swoony and took this audio to the next level!!!

Maxine Mitchell’s soft and sweet tone was perfect for Jessie while the feeling in her voice truly showed how much she loves the brothers. Aaron Shedlock has a deep, raspy tone that captured Conor’s protective side. Joe Arden’s dominating tone fit Shane’s possessiveness and also fit as the oldest brother. Robert Hatchet showcased the fun loving personality of Mikey with his upbeat tone. John Lane has a soft sultry tone which had me falling even harder for Liam! His voice captured Liam’s gentle, caring and comforting personality as he is always looking out for Jessie.

Overall, the performance of this audiobook was absolutely phenomenal and while it is so incredibly hot, it also brought me SO much happiness finally getting to put a voice to each of the Ryan brothers who I love so much! It’s just the perfect wrap up for the whole journey Sadie has taken us on with the Ryan brothers!!! HIGHLY recommend listening to this after reading the series!

I adored getting to visit with Jessie and her men again. The way these Irishmen are with her.......SWOON🫠! Conor, Mikey, Shane & Liam absolutely adore her and getting to see more of them with the stories, was a fun time! The spice hit perfectly in all the right smutty ways and I was there for it 👏🏼!

The cast that was casted for this duet style narration was beyond phenomenal. 𝑀𝑎𝑥𝑖𝑛𝑒 𝑀𝑖𝑡𝑐ℎ𝑒𝑙𝑙 as Jessie was easy to listen to with smooth voice. 𝐴𝑎𝑟𝑛 𝑆ℎ𝑒𝑑𝑙𝑜𝑐𝑘, 𝐽𝑜𝑒 𝐴𝑟𝑑𝑒𝑛, 𝑅𝑜𝑏𝑒𝑟𝑡 𝐻𝑎𝑡𝑐ℎ𝑒𝑡 & 𝐽𝑜ℎ𝑛 𝐿𝑎𝑛𝑒 absolutely nailed the four Irish brothers and their accents. They captured the personalities of each husband perfectly and kept me hooked! Together these 5 narrators bring together the perfection that 𝚂𝚊𝚍𝚒𝚎 𝙺𝚒𝚗𝚌𝚊𝚒𝚍'𝚜 work.

This anthology is a keeper! It's beautifully chiseled and gives us glimpses of some of our favorite 𝚂𝚊𝚍𝚒𝚎 characters and what they are up to after their HEA. I'm hard pressed to tell you just 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 story is my favorite of these. If I had to pick just one of them.....it's gonna be 𝑨 𝑹𝒚𝒂𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒏. Or maybe.....nope. I can not pick just one😂.

If you want to get lots of spicy spice, lots of after the HEA fun, and four sinfully delicious Irishmen who worship their lady, grab this one up!

Sadie wasn't kidding when she said these audios are 🥵🥵🥵 like from the pits of hell hot!! If you love the Ryan brothers like I do then you'll be jumping to listen to these 👀

Shane is my fav hence the audio but every single person who contributed to this masterpiece was perfection!! Shane is the eldest brother with Connor close behind him then we have Liam and Mikey, the twins who just keep stealing 😜

The Ryan brothers are part of the new York ruthless series, Irish mafia brothers who take no shit and give 0 fucks about anyone but themselves unless you are Jessie Ryan 😉 these men give their wife everything she needs and wants (slightly jealous 😂) Jessie gives just as good as she takes and she keeps these ruthless men on their toes.

These are the short stories so reading the series first is definitely something I'd suggest doing!! The Ryan's and their hacker go through a hell of a ride to get to where they are. Secrets, lies and a whole lot of emotions make this series one of my absolute favourites!!

A Ryan Recollection is a compilation of shorts and novellas featuring Jessie Ryan and her four Irish Mafia husbands. Each small story focuses on Jessie and her relationships with her husbands. I loved the the sexy, spicy shenanigans. The Halloween and tattoo shop shorts are some of my favorites from the collection.

As for the audiobook narration it was fantastic!! Performed by a multicast in duet narration. Maxine as Jessie. Aaron as Conor. Joe as Shane. John as Liam and Robert as Mikey. These 5 incredible narrators brought these characters to life. Maxine showed Jessie's love for her guys and children through her soft tone. I loved her kid voices. Aaron showed Conor's protective nature. Joe showed Shane's possessiveness. John conveyed Liam's caring side and Robert captured Mikey's fun and carefree attitude. Their Irish accents elevated the story for me. What a top notch performance! Highly recommend the audiobook!

I loved all of the novellas. Seriously, they were amazing. I didn’t want to let these characters go, and even though it took me a while to finish them, blame adulting (which, by the way, I do not like). I finally got to read the last ones yesterday and wow, it was everything I wanted.

I loved seeing them after the ending of the last book. It just felt so good. And listen… Shane is still my favorite. Oh my god. The way I love that man? I didn’t even realize he was my favorite until the very end, when I caught myself constantly looking for him in every chapter. If he wasn’t there, I was like, where is Shane? That’s when I knew, I was gaslighting myself the whole time. I did have a favorite, and it’s Shane.

He just cares so damn much. The way he took care of his brothers, sacrificed himself, did everything for them, it speaks volumes. He comes off as cold, but you can tell it’s because he feels everything so deeply. It’s like he doesn’t trust easily, not because he can’t, but because when he does, he gives it all. And with her? The way he treats her? Ugh, I love it. He’s so sweet and yet so ruthless when needed, and that scene with Jason? I was giggling, kicking my feet, dying. Like, yes, show him!

But loving Shane doesn’t mean I don’t love the others. I do. So let me talk about each of them now because they all deserve it.

Connor is so damn sweet. I love how possessive he is, like, he doesn’t want anyone else to see her body except for him and his brothers. And he always knows what she wants, what she needs. Same with Shane, honestly. They’re both so in tune with her. And I love how Connor is with Jessie, and with Shane too. The way they understand each other, it’s beautiful. The twins obviously have that special bond because, well, they’re twins, but Connor and Shane’s connection? It’s right up there too. You can feel that mutual respect and understanding between them.

Liam, my golden retriever. He is just the sweetest. He’s kind, soft, so caring, and I love when his obsessive, possessive side comes through. He feels everything so deeply. When he was hurting in the previous books? That broke me. And seeing more of him in the novellas was just so good. I loved every moment of it.

Mikey is hilarious, but also so thoughtful. I love the way he’s always looking out for Liam, making sure he’s okay, taking care of everyone really. He’s the chef, he makes things better when they’re falling apart. And the way he treats her? Amazing. They all treat her so well, and you can feel that love and protection coming from all sides.

And I adore when Shane and Connor call the twins “kid” or “son.” It’s so cute. You can tell how much they love them. Even when it seems like they don’t fully trust them to handle certain things, it’s not about trust, it’s about being overly protective. And I love that too. The twins also look up to their older brothers so much, and you can see how much they want their approval. It’s such a strong, beautiful bond between all of them.

Honestly, what I love even more than the romance is the brotherhood. The way they care for each other, the way they’ve built this little family, and then seeing Jessie become part of that? That’s what got me.

And speaking of Jessie, yes, I love her too. She is a firecracker, like they say. She’s strong as hell. Even after everything that happened to her, she didn’t let it define her. She decided who she was going to be, and I respect that so much. She tries so hard to help, to contribute, to be part of the family. And she is.

So yeah. 5⭐️ for the novellas. Chef kiss. I’m sad to be letting them go, but I will reread them eventually. Not even a maybe. It’s happening.

- This was soooo long and completely pointless. There is no plot to these short stories, it's just endless snut scenes. I was so bored that I was VERY tempted to DNF this, but I managed to get through it.
- There was a lot of backstory in these for it being the 6th book ... like, yeah, I know you have four husbands, that you all own sex clubs, and that Connor was a bare-knuckle champion ... I read the books😒
- Volume 1: The twins take Jessie on a date at the sex club.
- Volume 2: Shane gets rough with her for the first time since the birth of the twins.
- Volume 3: Connor and Jesse “work out” in the gym.
- Volume 4: St. Patrick’s day
- Volume 5: Jesse and Liam at the sex club
- Volume 6: Liam and Shane give Jesse a performance review
- Volume 7: Shane and Jessie at the lake house
- Volume 8: Halloween
- Volume 9-11: Christmas / New Year’s / Another Christmas
- Overall: This was boring and pointless. Volumes 9-11 are the only ones worth reading because they're the only ones that bring news/something new to the table. Volumes 1-7 are just spicy scenes.

Okay, Sadie. I think every reader who knows your universe has their eyes on Jessie Ryan and her delicious husbands, and they will NOT be disappointed by the journey this audiobook goes on.

First and foremost Maxine Mitchell carries this audiobook with her all-consuming performance as Jessie Ryan. Jessie finds herself in many spicy situations and Maxine does not falter in delivering Jessie’s sex appeal, tenderness, or her tenacity. Jessie is more than just a sexual object to her husbands and Maxine’s performance gives a glimpse into the beautiful dynamic that exists between Jessie, Mikey, Connor, Liam and Shane. Jessie has her own backstory that is laced in trauma and heartache and you get glimpses of that through Maxine’s portrayal as Jessie. Maxine also captures each relationship with each of Jessie’s husbands with intentionality and the dynamic feels personal; Jessie is adored in more ways than simply physical with these men.

Alright, Ryan men. Where do I begin? Robert Hatchet as Mikey is my favorite casting and I wished there was more of him. The accent and the balance of Mikey’s “fun-loving” demeanor and his dominating side was probably my favorite male performance in the book. His relationship with Jessie was my favorite. Aaron Shedlock’s accent work as Connor had me melting and now I’m thinking I could go on a Shedlock accent tour. Joe Arden as Shane provided many swoon-worthy moments; he does such a great job at capturing the dynamic as the eldest Ryan brother. Shane and Jessie’s chemistry is probably the spiciest. 🔥. And John Lane as Liam made my earbuds so happy. I could listen to his accent work and never be tired of it. I’ve listened to John and Maxine together before, and the tone of their voices are so soothing…and in this book highly combustible as well.

This audiobook would probably be best understood if you know a little bit of Sadie’s Ryan universe. I’m not as well versed as others may be, but the writing of this Recollection series gave me nuggets of background information throughout and I found myself being able to piece it together.

I know that Sadie’s work is associated with spice, and this series accomplishes that VERY WELL. What always makes me happy as a reader is how much heart surrounds this spice; these characters have incredible backgrounds and trauma that makes them human. As much as I could rave about the spice (trust me, Sadie does the damn thing), my favorite scenes are when the characters are vulnerable and giving each other so much love and trust. It truly makes this story special because the Ryan’s have all of this in abundance.

Preview Thoughts (Chapters 1-3):
For this final installment, I listened to the audiobook, which provided a richer depiction of the Ryans—their ages, attitudes, and overall character dynamics. A Ryan Recollection is a collection of shorts and epilogues, loosely connected yet distinct, offering additional glimpses into the world of the Ryan brothers. While fragmented, it was refreshing to hear more of the story from their perspectives.

Final Review:
This collection of shorts added much-needed depth to the Ryans, particularly in showcasing their lives beyond their apartment and club. The nuances explored here would have been valuable additions to the main series, helping to flesh out their criminal and personal worlds more fully. In some instances, the shorts felt like afterthoughts—extra content rather than essential pieces of the overall narrative.

The shift from high-stakes action to a happily-ever-after with minimal danger felt somewhat inconsistent with the tone of the previous five books. Additionally, the shorts, which extend the story roughly five years into the future, might have been more impactful had they been incorporated throughout the main series rather than presented as a separate collection.

That said, A Ryan Recollection was still an enjoyable, lighthearted read—almost resembling a traditional romance more than the dark romance the series initially set out to be. As expected, Kincaid delivers great spice, and while the storylines remain uncomplicated, the brothers’ ruthless nature is always tempered by their unwavering devotion to Jessie.

A satisfying conclusion to the New York Ruthless series, A Ryan Recollection provides an entertaining, if somewhat disjointed, farewell to the Ryan brothers. While it lacks the intensity of earlier books, fans of the series will appreciate these final glimpses into their world. I look forward to exploring more of Kincaid’s work in the future!

A Ryan Recollection is book 6 in Sadie Kincaid’s wildly popular New York Ruthless series and is the complete collection of all the series shorts and novellas set after Ryan Renewed. I have to be honest and say I had not read the New York Ruthless series prior to listening to this audiobook. And I also have to be honest and say I don’t believe that fact hampered my enjoyment of this audiobook in the least. It did, however, cause me to quickly wishlist the entire series and move it to the top of my rapidly-growing TBR list. I can only imagine someone who had already read the previous books in the series would enjoy it just that much more. I love a good dark mafia romance. Add in the fact that all of Jessie’s men are Irish—right down to the delicious accent—and I am all the way in! The shorts and novellas in this audiobook are all dark, sexy, witty, and beyond spicy. And I adored every single one! Sadie Kincaid does a fantastic job in these stories of giving a good overall feel for the family and their various relationships with just enough exposition to let even listeners like me, who have not listened to the series, thoroughly enjoy them without feeling like they’re in the dark about too much. Even without the benefit of having already read the series, the family dynamic and the love (not to mention, lust) they all have for each other clearly shines through in the text.

The narration for these exquisite stories is provided duet style with a full cast made up of Maxine Mitchell, Aaron Shedlock, Joe Arden, John Lane, and Robert Hatchett. What a powerhouse cast that is! The fascinating characters in this series are all flawlessly and expertly portrayed by this talented cast. I cant think of a better way to wind up the HEA for this compelling and intriguing series! And despite not having listened to the overall series yet, this is absolutely one of my favorite listens this year!

Holy Spice, this was HOT 🔥
Let me first start by saying this was SPICY, Ryan Recollection started out with little short stories giving you a glimpse into their lives at different times and scenes that turned into desire, love, passion, and straight up spice. Sharing part of their lives as a whole. Then the collection turned into novellas and moments together as a family. A family of 4 brothers and their woman, Jessie, as they turn their spice into holidays, with Halloween, Christmas, New Years and the special moments between them. I’m kicking myself for not reading the Ryan books before this collection but Sadie Kincaid wrote this so well, making you understand how they got to this point as a family and the 5 of them being together. During each short story and novella you couldn’t help but fall in love with the family they have built, the trust and connection with the true feelings they all have for one another. Maxine Mitchell, Joe Arden, John Lane, Aaron Shedlock, and Robert Hatchet narrate each character so well, giving us an understanding of their personalities and the relationship each brother has with Jessie as well as making you feel the emotions, love and respect as a family and for their queen Jessie. I loved the protectiveness they had for Jessie and the way she always let it be known that she had their backs too. I could listen to each narrator share the moments of passion, love, anger, jealousy or straight dirty talk all day long.

Triggers: This follows a dark reverse harem romance therefore there are mentions of past and a few on page events involving: kidnapping, drugging, neglect, abuse, mental torture, murder, violence.

‘A Ryan Recollection’ is a collection of shorts (single chapters) and novellas set after the end of the New York Ruthless series. Jessie and her four Irish Mafia husbands have settled into family life and we get glimpses into where they are now and how things have gone for them. Whilst there is some feel of a story to the novellas and some sweet family moments this collection is pretty much pure smut. Parts of it were enjoyable and it did give a satisfactory ending to their story which fans of the series are sure to enjoy.

I pull her into my arms, spinning her around so I can check out her outfit. I look for snaps. Buttons? A zipper? A gap somewhere that I can get my hand in, but there isn’t a single fucking one. “What fucking devious trickery is this, Red?” I growl.

“But how do I get into it?” I ask her as my brothers laugh - like this is funny.

On a scale of -to-Ryan brothers hot, how hot can things get? I didn’t think these Ryan brothers could get any spicier and then I was proven wrong. In true Sadie fashion, she brings on the heat x1000 in this collection of the Ryan brothers. That Jessie is a busy lady in this RH why choose.
This is produced by Blue Nose Audio, done in duet narration, and is exceptional with a great cast of narrators that really know how to turn up the heat! Maxine Mitchell voices the sass and class of Jessie perfectly. Aaron Shedlock as Connor is gold, John Lane voices Liam while Robert Hatchet as Mikey are on fire in this. I am a new fan of theirs for sure, and Joe Arden voicing Shane is just sheer superbness! Love Irish accents? I loved all of them and am truly blown away by the incredible talent that went into this fun and provocative listen.
A bet that doesn’t work out so well for one of the brothers and a much needed life lesson that Shane didn’t realize he needed? I was dying and those are just a couple of the scenes. Give this a listen to enjoy even more and a word of caution, make sure your headphones don’t die on you if you are around others.
This was such a great listen with a lot of spice and if you are looking for some heat, MMCs that are possessive, territorial, and commanding with a FMC that knows how to satiate these boys into shape, then this recollection will not disappoint.
