The eldest North son is dead and it has been ruled a suicide. However, Jax has some serious doubts. All clues point to the Knight family's involvement and he intends to take them down. That is until he officially meets Emma Knight, the woman he was meant to use to further his revenge. She was nothing like he expected and he's got a choice to make—love or vengeance?
Emma tended to drive me up the wall, but I enjoyed the heck out of this story. Jax more than made up for any ill will I may have felt towards his lady love (which wasn't much). The bond that quickly grew between these characters drew me in like nobody's business. I was glued to these pages and I didn't just want, I needed to know how it would all turn out. Was Chance just like his father? Would Brody be okay? Have I already read Savage's book because dude needs his own story. And how exactly did Hunter die? Besides all that, thank you dear author for giving me some glimpses of the absolutely yummy Grayson and his equally delicious best mate, Eric.

“Naked Truth” was the third book in Lisa Renee Jones’ Scandalous Billionaires series, and it was just as amazing as the other ones!
This book tells the tale of Jax North and Emma Knight, two people from rival families who fall in love despite all the obstacles in their path.
I thought this was an excellent read. It had great world building, was intense and action-packed, and the plot twists had me hooked from start to finish.
Jax suspects that the Knights might have been involved in his older brother’s recent suicide, so when he first sees Emma, he plans on using her for information. But instead, he fell head over heels in love with her.
Jax was so protective and possessive when it came to Emma, and that was a huge part of his charm. He knew he shouldn’t fall for her based on her family name alone, but there was something about her he couldn’t resist.
Emma, on the other hand, had no idea of what her family was being accused of or what their dealings were. I don’t think she was looking for a relationship when she met Jax, but their connection soon became impossible to ignore.
I really loved Emma’s personality. She might have been a little naive in the beginning, but her character development was very well-done, and I loved that she wasn’t a delicate little flower. All in all, I was satisfied with the ending, and I’m happy I read this series.

Book two: naked truth
The second book in this book with Jax and Emma this was to me an revenge love story so Jax went into a event and was looking for one person but that person was not there but he found his sister instead.
Jax want to find answer to his brother death like any family member would do so when he lock in on Emma he was he thinking that he could take his revenge out on her for his brother death.
But Emma didn’t know anything about what happens with his brother till they started working today and falling in love with each other.
As the story when on I thought I knew his brother I thought it was it Emma father or he hire someone do it. But then I thought her brother right hand man did too because of how he treat Emma and everybody hate Jax and his family. But then the bombshell came out that hunter was Emma step-brother

Had and Emma embark on the greatest adventure in life, love!
When these two meet there is something there and an instant attraction but little did they know that their connection is far deeper and sinister then either thought!
I absolutely loved these two and how deeply and affectionately Jax fell for Emma! He didn’t care about others he just wanted the happiness and heart of the woman he loved!
Emma is such a kick butt female! She stood her ground in the world of men and didn’t hesitate to do what needed to be done.
This story is fraught with mystery and twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat!

As we may have already come to expect from the author, this book is not a simple romance story either, but rather a thrilling read full of heavy secrets and surprising twists and turns. From the first chapter to the last, the book is packed with exciting scenes and mysterious questions, all of which we slowly get answers to. And as if all this didn't make the book irresistible enough, the biggest secret of all is revealed at the very end of the story, which I don't think any reader expects.

This book is a collection of three books in one. Originally the Naked Trilogy. But this set has been revamped and has more juicy pages.
One Man:
As always, Lisa has written another fascinating book! And it definitely has a doozy of a cliffhanger! Book two cannot come soon enough. This is a new series, but like her other series she has incorporated people from her other books. I have mentioned this before, but I just love that she does this. It keeps past series alive in one form or another. Once again it is sort of a mystery with romance. Never know what your going to uncover. This is about the Knight and North families. Somehow they are tied together, but how? That is the million dollar question. Of course Emma is a Knight and Jax is a North. She is part of the hotel industry and he is part of the Whiskey industry. They are supposed to be enemies. However, things seem to change once they become better acquainted with one another. Once they are a team they start to find answers to some of their questions. Just when I thought we were going to get some new information, bam...the end of the book! If you are a fan of all of Lisa’s books then hurry and grab your copy of One Man today!!!!
One Woman: Who is it? I must know and now I have to wait for Two Together to get that answer. Ugh! But really it’s all good, great even, as all Lisa’s books are! This is One Woman, second in the Naked trilogy. It starts right where One Man ended. And you definitely need to know how that ended to proceed to this book. I feel that these books cannot be read as a stand alone. I absolutely love Jax and Emma. I’m not real sure what is about them, I just do. They complement each other. Both with past’s that are so dark and both their fathers have passed. So many secrets. But Jax and Emma are doing really well trying to help one another by telling their secrets and trying to work through them together. One of her secrets is about, York. She lets him have it and in front of Jax and Savage no less and got him to talk. Then, let’s not forget about Savage...he cracks me up! Always with a witty remark and humor. But he’s also there to protect and figure out things. There are clues that are given but no meaning to them, yet. At least I haven’t figured them out yet. A red dress, an hour glass, faulty wiring, and Echo. So we must wait until the final book to receive our answers and I can’t wait! But I think what Jax and Emma are both realizing is that...even though it can be painful, honesty is always the best medicine. Go grab your copy today, a must read!!
Two Together: Wow! What a way to end a series. I really enjoyed Jay and Emma. Following them through all three books was such a thrill. Jax being the one who never stayed the night and stayed with one woman for a long period of time, definitely changer. Emma was his light. Brought him out of the revenge state that he was in. He realized that he could never be with out her. When that was almost taken away from him, he went ballistic! He made sure that was never going to happen again. He’d never survive it! Emma was afraid to be with another man after a tragic past. But Jax walked into her life and changed her outlook on men. He was her savior. Her hope! I loved reading about their blooming relationship. But it was all flowers and rainbows. They still needed to figure out what had happened to Hunter. And while doing that, the threat was very much there. Thankfully, Savage was there! Lol! Needless to say, I was shocked with the discovery. I totally did not see that coming. These books cannot be read as stand a lone’s. Each book picks up where the previous ended. I loved this series so much!!

One Man is the first book in the Naked Trilogy and is a spin off. Jax North attended the philanthropy award ceremony for Emma’s father, whom is now deceased. Emma’s father was not an innocent man and Jax’s intention was to get to her to get answers for his brother’s death. And what about Emma’s brother is he innocent or guilty? I need to know!
So many secrets that need to be shared and there is an oh no you didn’t, kind of cliffhanger. I know a lot of people don’t appreciate cliffhangers but I do. It usually means I get to read more about the characters that I have come to love. It also leaves me excited for the next book in the series.
Oh, and I really need to drink some North whiskey, just saying! I loved this book I really became invested in the lives of Emma and Jax! Now bring on One Woman! 5 STARS
One Woman is the second book in the Naked Trilogy. I love that this author gives a little recap at the beginning of this book as to what happened at the end of One Man. This book starts where One Man left off.
Jax saves Emma after Brody has Emma hanging over the ledge high up in the castle. He believes that either she or her family was involved in the death of Hunter. (Jax and Brody’s now deceased brother). Jax has fallen in love with Emma despite who she is, a Knight and he’s a North.
No really wants Emma at the Castle in Maine other than Jax himself. There are so many secrets and lies to uncover. Emma is torn between her brother and Jax. Jax is also torn as to whom to believe, his woman or her family had something to do with the death of his brother.
Of course, since this is the second book I expected that cliffhanger! It still doesn’t help knowing that there will be one. Fortunately, not to long of a wait for Two Together Book 3. 4 Stars
Two Together is the 3rd and final book in the Naked Trilogy. As always, I truly appreciate the recap that this author has done on quite a few of her books. Oh and you need to start at book 1 One Man if you want to read this very good series.
This book picks up where One Woman left off.
Two Together took me on a wild ride. I couldn’t believe who was responsible for killing Hunter. I guess I can see what happens to the person that killed Hunter but I was saddened by what happened and I know I am being vague but I don’t want to ruin your story for you.
There is light at the end of the tunnel and yes there is a HEA! Now I can’t wait for the beginning of The Savage Trilogy! I am sure it will be as good and exciting as the Naked Trilogy! 5 STARS

Tropes: Feuding families (gave Romeo x Juliet vibes), billionaire romance, mystery/thriller elements

i received a copy of this book pre-publishing in exchange for my honest review
If we were obsessing over how much Eric was called a bastard in Filthy Deal, let us highlight how quickly Jax and Emma got naked in Naked Truth. Jax North, whisky king of the north. Emma Knight, the knight princess. Even though both of their families are in business together, the two families could really not hate each more than they already do. When Jax seeks out revenge and vengeance for his brother, he is really biting off more than he expected when him and Emma hit it off. Can the two of them beat the odds before someone ends up dead? Or is their story destined to be like that of Romeo and Juliet?
Having finished Filthy Deal (aka my first Lisa book), I can tell that this woman can really draw out a plotline with a lot of twist and turns. While I think that the length of Filthy Deal was not justified given the plot of the story, I enjoyed Naked Truth a lot more. The plot was more refreshing with you getting to play sleuth almost alongside Jax and Emma as they work to uncover secrets, while still trying to navigate their own relationship. There were so many different things happening that it really kept me on my toes. I did try to pace myself more this book rather than try to finish it like I did with Filthy Deal, but I absolutely devoured the last 40% of the book (basically part three) as everything was coming together in the end. I am proud to say that I did figure out whodunnit, for the most part. I thought someone else was involved, but they were not, but I did think it would’ve made a good plot line. The ending of the book was quite bittersweet though. While it was a general net positive for happiness, I wish some characters had different endings that they did.
I will say, I saw a lot of their relationship arc similar to Eric and Harper’s arc, which was a bit frustrating at times because they were clearly not learning from their mistakes. It was nice to see Eric again in this book (I wish we saw Harper!) This is also my official petition for Savage to get this own book. I fricking love that man, he’s so funny! Lisa definitely got her redemption in this book. If you like longer books, but still broken up into chunks to allow for natural breaks, I would definitely recommend! Could ✨technically✨ be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading Filthy Deal first to get an introduction to the characters and the world! AND I saw that book 3 is about Grayson and Mia?! WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM??? They were so happy in Filthy Deal?! Omg.

If we were obsessing over how much Eric was called a bastard in Filthy Deal, let us highlight how quickly Jax and Emma got naked in Naked Truth. Jax North, whisky king of the north. Emma Knight, the knight princess. Even though both of their families are in business together, the two families could really not hate each more than they already do. When Jax seeks out revenge and vengeance for his brother, he is really biting off more than he expected when him and Emma hit it off. Can the two of them beat the odds before someone ends up dead? Or is their story destined to be like that of Romeo and Juliet?
Having finished Filthy Deal (aka my first Lisa book), I can tell that this woman can really draw out a plotline with a lot of twist and turns. While I think that the length of Filthy Deal was not justified given the plot of the story, I enjoyed Naked Truth a lot more. The plot was more refreshing with you getting to play sleuth almost alongside Jax and Emma as they work to uncover secrets, while still trying to navigate their own relationship. There were so many different things happening that it really kept me on my toes. I did try to pace myself more this book rather than try to finish it like I did with Filthy Deal, but I absolutely devoured the last 40% of the book (basically part three) as everything was coming together in the end. I am proud to say that I did figure out whodunnit, for the most part. I thought someone else was involved, but they were not, but I did think it would’ve made a good plot line. The ending of the book was quite bittersweet though. While it was a general net positive for happiness, I wish some characters had different endings that they did.
I will say, I saw a lot of their relationship arc similar to Eric and Harper’s arc, which was a bit frustrating at times because they were clearly not learning from their mistakes. It was nice to see Eric again in this book (I wish we saw Harper!) This is also my official petition for Savage to get this own book. I fricking love that man, he’s so funny! Lisa definitely got her redemption in this book. If you like longer books, but still broken up into chunks to allow for natural breaks, I would definitely recommend! Could ✨technically✨ be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading Filthy Deal first to get an introduction to the characters and the world! AND I saw that book 3 is about Grayson and Mia?! WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM??? They were so happy in Filthy Deal?! Omg.

Oh. My. God!!!! Where do I begin? NAKED TRUTH, Scandalous Billionaires book #3, was such an amazing and intriguing story. Right from the outset I was completely hooked and had great difficulty putting my kindle down. It was full of mystery, extremely intriguing and had enough suspense that kept me sitting on the edge of my seat for its entirety.
Emma Knight, black sheep of the family, and her brother Chance have inherited the Knights Hotel empire upon the death of their father. Although Emma's inheritance is under the control of Randall Montgomery, a man she clearly despises. Her world is rocked when she obtains her father's journal, although no one is named the secrets it holds are deadly.
Jax North is the owner of North Whisky, a duty he assumed when his brother Hunter died, allegedly from suicide. However, Jax is determined to find out what role the Knights family played in his brother's death ... he is determined to prove it was not a suicide, and he is out to extract revenge at whatever cost ... until he meets Emma.
From the moment they meet the attraction and chemistry between them is off the charts. How can two people destined to be enemies learn to trust one another? Can they earn trust and share their secrets, secrets which could potentially destroy them? As Emma's past and present collide to put her life in danger, Jax becomes the ultimate protective alpha. I really love Emma and Jax. Here you have a woman who was always looked down upon, made to feel weak, yet beneath lies a woman of strength. Emma has allowed Jax to get beneath her skin, to become a part of her, yet she makes the heart breaking decision to take herself away from him, to ensure no harm comes to him. Jax is simply perfect. Everything he says and does is always with Emma in is thoughts. He encourages her and gives her strength when she needs it. He also gives her love, something that has always been missing from her life.
Through the turmoil of everything going on around them, it was wonderful to see Emma and Jax's love for each other grow from strength to strength. I loved the way in which Jax was protective towards Emma, whether it was in regard to his family, her family or outside influences, he was always willing to put himself in the firing line, rather than her. His fierce loyalty to his family, his friends and his staff was also a standout, but when he felt betrayed ... there was nothing that could hold back his hatred. Emma was simply divine, thrown amongst a bevy of ferocious wolves she was the one who stood tall when loyalty and friendship was put on the line. She had a strength that no man could defeat. Her love for Jax shone through with every action she took and every emotion she showed.
Lisa Renee Jones has excelled with NAKED TRUTH. It is edgy, mysterious, sensual, gripping and sexy. It will have you on the edge of your seat, continually guessing the outcome, but forever second guessing yourself with the twists and turns so intricately thrown in. Even though this story is full of so many characters and an incredible amount of detail, the pace of Ms. Jones' writing and the style, allows it to flow perfectly. Her vivid descriptions easily put me where the characters were, allowed me to feel every emotion, the pain, fear, sadness and joy.

Holy beginning to a new series!!!! I think Jax and Emma's story is going to be one of my favourite's to date. I personally don't think any author out there today does mystery and intrigue with a hole lotta hotness the way Lisa Renee Jones does. The mystery and hotness are my favourite parts of her books, I can never figure out where she is taking us and that is just fine with me. And on top of her amazing writing she always ties in some characters from prior series which always makes me feel like I am back at home and comfortable with my friends. This book has one of my all time favourite secondary characters in Walker Security's own Savage
Mystery, lies, secrets, twists, turns and crazy hot love scenes, this book has it all. No one in my opinion does romantic suspense better than Lisa Renee Jones. I always try to figure out where her story is going to take me and I am always wrong, but happy I was because it was a twist I didn't see coming.
What an incredibly conclusion to this trilogy. I have enjoyed Emma and Jax's story from the start and have held my breath to see how things would end. Heartbreak, mystery, revenge, intrigue, love this series had it all and the final book had me on the edge of my seat till the very end. Did I mention over the top incredibly steamy chemistry between Jax and Emma. Thank you for another incredibly well written series that grabbed my emotions and twisted them all over the place in the best way possible.

Naked Truth had so much angst throughout the entire story and the tension was absolutely felt from start to finish. Both of their families each have been shattered by death, leaving Jax North and Emma tangled in a web of betrayal, corporate espionage, mystery, and murder. Their meet-cute happened under false pretenses, and that meeting was the start of it all. Jax wants to know why Emma’s father tried to take everything from the North family and how he was connected to his brother’s death. Emma, upon her father’s death, learned that he was not the man she knew. They met in the bar and even knowing who the other was, their chemistry was undeniable. As they reveal their truths, they come to realize the only ones they can trust are each other.

One Man - Who is Jax North? I like him!! Who are Emma and Chance Knight? What do we learn about each of the three of them? I do not like Randall or Marion, and especially not York. There is a lot of oddness underfoot in this story. There is a ton of suspense and intrigue going on in this story. Lots of secrets are being kept! The cliffhanger at the end has me wanting to jump off the cliff myself. Read and see what happens in this first part of the trilogy!
One Woman - What happens with Brody and Emma as they run into each other when she explores the castle? What does Brody tell her? What does Jax do when he finds them where Hunter last was? What does Jax say to Brody? Why does Emma run? Just when you think the suspense cannot get any more intense, it does. We learn a lot of things about Emma, Jax, and Hunter. We find that Emma is embroiled in some seriously deep family secrets. What are they? Will the truth come to light? What will happen if it does? Can York be handled? Read and see!

You can feel the chemistry right from the very beginning between these two! He wants answers that he thinks she has the answers to. Is he right or is he wrong? Is he everything that she thinks he is or is there more to him than she knows. She thinks she knows what he wants but is she wrong? It seems like everyone is trying to keep them a part but it's not working.
*SLOW BLINK* Wow! Anywho, we have Jax and Emma trying to figure out if their relationship can withstand all of the secrets that they're uncovering. Will Emma stop running? Will she be able to stand up for herself? Will Jax convince her that THEY are worth it?
Will there be more secrets that shock the crap out of you? (I was shocked!)

Explosive chemistry...incredible story...intense passion! Lisa Renee Jones has woven all of that together for an unbelievable journey! Jax and Emma are destined to meet. It's inevitable. But the more they learn, the more they realize there is so much more to their stories than meets the eye. One Man draws you in over and over until you’re looking at the page breathless waiting to see what's next!
Intoxicatingly suspenseful and passionate! Lisa continues where One Man left us wide eyed and trying to breathe. Jax and Emma are now at his castle in Maine. A place to escape, at least a little, while he works and prepares for the North Whiskey’s largest event of the year. In the midst of the intense passion, both are going to have to work through their doubts and pasts and secrets to build the trust they need with each other to make it through everything that is being launched at them. And yes....another cliff hanger!!!! Lisa knows how to draw the reader into the mind of the characters. We see their inner struggle and their victories. We can feel their emotion and sense the fear.
Lisa is the queen twists and turns. I’ve loved Emma and Jax from book 1 and this finale of their story was a jaw-dropping journey! Book 3 takes readers with Emma and Jax from finding out a huge family secret that threatens to tear their work apart and test their devotion to each other. Lisa gives us passion and pain, joy and heartbreak. Will definitely read again! Buy this one now!!!

This book was perfect from the start! Two families who have a connection. Two sudden deaths that leave more questions than answers and a forbidden romance starts to develop.
As Jax learns more about Emma, he realizes that she may be a victim in this as well. Emma, who is finding out her family is not what she thought, has a strong attraction to Jax, she knows there is more there and she should run, but the pull is too strong.
As they learn more about each other and learn to trust in each other, they know there is more to the story. What will they uncover, will it change the attraction they have? There are fireworks..... a plenty. Emotions run high as Emma finds herself in a room that holds so much for the North family, with Jax's older brother and he is a a loss as to why she is in their family home. They are searching for answers and trying to understand all the lies, will their attraction and connection be bigger than the lies?
Lisa, is a brilliant writer who makes sure that she has covered all of the angles and develops the characters all of them so you are always guessing about their backstory. Once again Lisa keeps us on our toes and on the edge of our seats.

This enemies to lovers story has a great deal of drama, heartache, manipulation and a host of other unexpected twists that swirl around Jax and Emma's budding relationship. A relationship that shouldn't happen between these two rival families but, their hearts speak another language.
Staying focused on Jax and Emma, I love their determination to fight and find the truth that will set them free, inspiring and romantic. Following the surrounding family members and close friends, there is a lot of reasons to feel unsettled. Jax's family has suffered so much loss in their lives that it is understandable to be wary of anyone especially your enemies. Emma has had different kind of suffering, she has been ignored, held back and left in the dark in many of her family's business dealings.
The mysteries that Jax and Emma face bring them closer as everyone around them seems to be against their happiness. There are parts of their story that are very sensitive and upsetting that caught me by surprise and wished the author had a more settling answer to all the questions.

I first read this story when it was a trilogy and it is just as good now as it was then! Set in a world of riches and opulence, this book is full of mistrust, secrets, hidden agendas, shady characters, and suspense and not to mention some hot in between the sheets action. Jax North is a strong, swoon worthy hero while Emma is a very strong and likable heroine. There is an intense attraction between them, but with secrets and a thirst for revenge, trust is on the line. With an explosive chemistry like theirs, Jax must learn to grapple with his feelings toward Emma while she must determine if she can trust Jax.
This book hooked me right from the first page and while I founds portions of the middle to be repetitive, the later parts of the book moved at a good pace. The secrets, lies, and thrilling twists and turns kept me guessing. I love how this author weaves such an intricate story where she slowly reveals one secret only to give the reader more questions. This is an enjoyable romantic suspense with an interesting storyline and strong, well developed characters. Overall Rating: 4.5 stars

When it comes to a new Lisa Renee Jones book I don't have to see the cover or read the blurb. I buy the book because I know from her past offerings that I will have the extraordinary reading experience. She spins a tale of intrigue, mystery, deceit and romance like few others. Naked Truth is comprised of an intricate maze of deceit, lies, threats, rumors and innuendo. I did a lot of breath-holding as I read and I know that I gasped out loud several times as events unfolded.
There is an air of desparation swirling around both Jax and Emma. They are both reeling from loss and the need to find answers resulting from that loss drives them. Jax is the man who really sees Emma. Although she is reluctant to let down her guard anf trust him, Emma knows Jax is one man who will protect her as truths are revealed and questions are answered. Jax and Emma are, for lack of a better word, explosive together and the maelstrom they find themselves in could be as well. The action becomes fast paced as Jax and Emma unravel the intertwinings of their family's lives. There are lots of deep emotions at play in this book which, to me, gave a real air of authenticity to the feelings it evoked

“Naked Truth” deals with the story between the warring Knight and North families. Like star crossed lovers, Emma and Jax are irresistibly drawn to each other in an immediate and consuming passionate affair. Both characters are flawed, having to deal with traumatic events from their past, but shared experiences make their bond stronger and, together, they become more determined to solve the puzzle that faces and also threatens them.
This is quite an intense story with secrets, intrigue, plot twists and an undercurrent that had me feeling “on edge”, fearing for the safety of main characters, and needing to know just what had happened.
There is a wealth of supporting characters, some of whom I immediately took a dislike to. However, Savage just steals the show with his larger than life personality, his unique sense of humour and his outrageous comments!
There are references to characters and events from the previous “Scandalous Billionaires” books by this author but it is not necessary to have read them first, although I’d recommended it. This is a trilogy and it is good to be able to have all three instalments in one book.

Naked Truth by Lisa Renee Jones is book 3 in the Scandalous Billionaires series. I definitely recommend reading the other 2 first just because they flow well together. This book was an emotional read for me because Jax North (ML) is dealing with the loss (in his eyes murder) of his brother. This is something that hits very close to my heart. It is a wonderful read and I dove right in.
Jax is suspicious that his brother was murdered by the Knight family and of course that leads him to meeting Emma Knight (FL). She is nothing like the others and of course nothing like he expected. Of course their first meeting is intense and sensual. She tries to keep the walls up to protect her heart and life. As they grow to trust each other the suspense grows and secrets are revealed. She learns the truth of who he really is but the truths of what happened are revealed too.
This book was steamy, intense, suspenseful and for me emotional. I absolutely loved the emotional rollercoaster and the characters. It was a perfect blend of romance and mystery. Lisa Renee Jones thank you for writing another great one! I highly recommend this book and series I can not wait for more!!!!

Naked Truth is my favorite book in this series. It was an intriguing and fun to read. It was long but hard to put down. The premise is that Jax is searching for the ones responsible for the murder of his brother. He believes that Emma’s family, the Knights, are responsible. He sets out to get revenge and that starts with Emma Knight.
The plot line of Naked Truth is multilayered and gives the story depth. Emma’s past torments her and threatens to destroy her future, the business she has worked so hard to build, and maybe even her life. Jax looks past Emma to continue the search for the ones responsible for the death of his brother. He continues to look for revenge on the Knight family by targeting Emma’s brother, Chance.
The story is told from a dual point of view, allowing for the self-talk that is so characteristic of Lisa Renee Jone’s books in this series. It gives you insight into the characters' motivations and builds multidimensional characters that keep things interesting. Walker security makes an appearance in this book, with Savage and his humor. The other side characters also make the book what it is.

Jax North lost his brother to suicide but he didn't believe his brother would commit suicide so he was dead set on seeking revenge and Emma Knight is his target. He wanted take everything away until she is unlike her father.
Emma's parents never showed any love from her parents. His father was too hard on her even he didn't give her inheritance until North Castle was acquired. Emma and Jax didn't know they needed each other. Jax will do everything to keep her protected and safe and hires Walker security to keep everything in check.
Jax and Emma can't trust anyone even if they are family and they are the ones who they should be watch out for. Suspense keeps until the very end.
Emma is stronger than she seems. She won't be damsel in distress and wait for knight and shining armor to rescue her.
They are stronger together and they are falling harder for each other.

If you are looking for a book that hits all the marks of a mystery, murder, betrayal, family dysfunction and a love story, this book is for you. It focuses on two families, the Knights who are hotel moguls and the North’s who are whiskey moguls. Both families are intertwined in a twisted but intriguing way. Plus Jax North and Emma Knight find each other in the mix of betrayal and death. The storyline is very complex and dark. It has murder, kidnapping, rape, sex scandals , family dysfunctions abound. It is a complicated love story as well. It is very action packed. It revolves around the deaths of family members for both Emma and Jax. The sexual tension between Emma and Jax is off the charts as well. I really enjoyed read the story and Emma and Jax because it hits all the boxes of love and sadness that comes with complicated relationships. They are both survivors who lean on each other for strength. I would give it more than 5 stars if possible.

This book was Brilliant.
Nothing better than the story of the warring Knight and North families. Reminiscent of the star-crossed lovers from Romeo and Juliet, Emma and Jax are irresistibly drawn to each other and immerse themselves in an all-consuming and passionate affair.
These characters are flawed and have had to deal with traumatic events from their past, but they have shared experiences that make their connection stronger. They become more determined to solve the enigma that faces them but also threatens their existence.
A beautifully intense story filled with secrets, intrigue, plot twists and a plentiful supply of reading on the edge of your seat.
There is an abundance of well-crafted supporting characters, not all of them likeable I might say. There are tie ins to characters and events from the previous “Scandalous Billionaires” books by Lisa Renee Jones but it is not necessarily required to have read these books first, although I’d definitely recommend it as it will add even more depth to the story.
