I’m not sure where to start with this. This book has the brothers best friend, secret pregnancy, some action, some pettiness, and second chances I guess.
BUT it left me feeling confused on some points.
It starts with the our girl, Briar, losing her brother and Thor losing his best friend. They sleep together but some reason all men think they know what’s best and have to make decisions for woman. As he thinks he’s too old for briar and she needs to live her life, so he pretends he was really drunk and basically calls her fat. She’s heart broken and then the confusing part for me is that their friend chase says thor’s girlfriend was here. So, did he cheat on his girlfriend with briar. 🤷🏼♀️IDK it’s never really clarified. He says later that he broke up with the ex cause she made up a story that they were engaged when they were not. Idk when that happened. If he was with the ex when he was with briar. Confused.But briar decides to get revenge and make a rival company to his to steal his business.
Then five years later, when though this is her brothers bestie, they run in the same circles and they still share friends, Briar has a kid that she has kept secret from him. She did try texting emailing and going to his office. But girl you have other means to tell this man. Even though she thought he responded but anyway more on that later.
They see each other at a Gala, and after five years Thor for some reason has decided he wants Briar again and starts kissing her and almost doing it again. But his ex is there. Even though we find out he has a protective order against her. I’m not sure what for as it’s not really clarified. But if you have a protective order couldn’t you just call the police to get her away. Idk but confusing.
A month later they see each other again and now 5 years later he sees his son and instantly pieces it together. Thor is mad and says he’s going for full custody. But our girl Briar planned for this and has receipts of him responding telling her to abort the kid. But turns out someone close to him has his phone mirrored and has been answering for him all these years. They’re fired of course.
Then they finally are talking again and coming together. Only to have Briar attacked in the parking lot. After being threatened they leave to stay safe. Thor finds out and goes after them. They come together as a family only to go back home to get ripped apart. As for some reason his ex is AGAIN around him and she is outed as being the CEO of his competing company. Thor is pissed.
Then in the final act the person threatening and has been against their relationship tries to kill Briar but she makes it out and they all live happily ever after.
So, i’m not making this review to hate on the author or anything. I did enjoy the story BUT I would of enjoyed it more if multiple things were clarified. Like it was plainly stated that Briar has only been with Thor in her life, but it’s never explicitly said for Thor. Like idk if he was with the ex after her or anyone else. He said he hadn’t dated in years but idk what that means. The ex situation is all together confusing. And finally them basically being one friend separated but Thor not knowing she has a kid or thinking she got married. Like wouldn’t he know if she got married? IDk sorry if these questions confused you but i’m confused myself. And this book was only 135 pages.

I loved this book! It’s not only a page turner, but it shows what a strong, independent woman Briar is. She is able to raise her son and help run a business. It’s an age gap/secret baby/billionaire/brother’s best friend/second chance/forbidden lovers romance book.
One night is all it took for Briar to become pregnant with Thor’s baby. For years he never knew. This book is filled with a bunch of secrets that eventually come out. How will Thor feel when he finds out about his son? Will Briar fight him in being in his life? Will sparks fly once again for Briar and Thor? The chemistry seems to still be there for sure. There are definitely some people who don’t want them together and will stop at nothing to keep them apart. Will this be enough or will they find their way back together again? Wait til you find out!

Briar is a BBW that has always been treated like she was less than and with some miscommunication thinks the man she's loved can't stand her. With the help of some wonderful people in her life she picks herself up, dusts herself off and becomes an amazing strong woman. When Thor the love from her past figures out a few of her secrets he sets out to show her how much she means to him and he's not letting her go, even when someone wants to destroy Briar to keep her from him.

I loved this story. We met both Briar and Thor in Chase's story, Virtuous. These two had a brother's best friend, in addition to revenge themed romance story. I didn't like Thor at first, but finding out how he was played by those close to him changed my mind. This story was a little steamy but filled with action, betrayals, secrets, and danger. Great story! Can't wait to read more in this series. I received a review copy of this book and am leaving a voluntary honest review.

The story begins with the H's cruel dismissal of the h, the morning after a night of passion. Heart broken, the h is disowned by her parents, and her attempts to contact the H to tell him of her pregnancy go unanswered. She vows revenge. Fast forward five years, the h is defending her supportive best friend from the H's move to fire him. It seems he has continued to love the h and wants to reconnect. His personal assistant and psycho ex have been actively keeping the h and H apart.

Exceptional fast paced read had me feeling so many emotions. Briar and Thor burn up the pages with their scorching chemistry. In this second installment the characters deal with loss, betrayal, revenge, secrets and so much more. This is a quick read that captivated me from the very first page to the very last.

This book packs a punch, so much to happen in so little pages. Loved the intensity and the suspense. Children are such innocent and wonderful human beings. I read the first book in this series, and it was nice seeing them again in this second book. I loved this book.

What an incredible story. I loved Thor and Briar's book. These two have history. And when they see each other years later, they'll have things to figure out. Suspense, secrets, truths, slight miscommunication, and a second chance are just a few things I enjoyed about this one. It's written well with an excellent storyline. In my opinion this is a must read.

Loved this book! Briar loved Thor and then he broke her heart now years later she wants revenge against him but little does she know she's also been lied too. Can they find forgiveness in each before it's too late? Will she survive in order to tell him she loves him?

I loved this book. Thor and Briar share one night of passion while they’re both grieving. Misunderstandings push these two apart. When they finally meet again sparks will fly, tempers flair and the heat is on. This book is an emotional ride to a happily-ever-after. Definitely recommend reading!

If you love second chances/billionare/secret baby, then you’ll love this book. Who doesn’t love a man that has a name as Thor 👀! Well Briar does and she has a kids by him. I just love how she is so independent but still a bit vulnerable too! ❤️❤️❤️

Tenacious is book two in the Ramsey University series and is Briar and Thor's book. We previously met these two in Chase's book and I'm happy that got a book. This book is fast paced and has some tropes that I absolutely love. Excited to read more from this series.

What strong characters with a lot of action and attraction ! Briar had an intimate encounter with Thor which resulted in a pregnancy which gave her Orion . The only thing to make this story better is many more chapters . The author is spot on with this story !

Page turner for sure. If there wasn’t so many things in life that detour me from reading I would’ve went through this a lot quicker. I’m shocked at the ending but at the same time I’m so happy that is the way it turned out. I was worried there for a bit at the end.
