Struggled
I love this author but truthfully, I had a hard time finishing this series. It seemed to drag on as if the author was being paid by the word. Much repetition and rehashing of concepts in the story line. The ending was especially disappointing as if the publisher demanded delivery of this last book and the author just threw his thoughts together for the final chapter. I understand the author wanting to keep some of the story line open, so that he might develop spin-off sagas; however, it is my humble opinion that he should have brought some form of closure to more of characters.

Wow 15 books.
I read this series over the last 5-6 weeks.
Epic! Wide ranging with ebbs and flows, not unlike life. DK is a master story teller. I'm looking forward to reading the other 3 story lines from this series.
In the mean time I have some catch up to do; reading the new releases of other series, which have been on hold while reading the Chain Breaker series.

Chain Breaker series
Wonderful! The characters are so well developed you forget they are pretend! They take you on so many exciting adventures that you don’t want to put the book down, or finish it unless you know there is another. I read everything I can get by D K Holmberg, he is a gifted author.

Great series...kept me reading!
Im going to miss Gavin, Gaspar, Alana...and the rest of the characters...I had to keep reading as this series kept me enthralled and anticipating what will happen next...very, very exciting series! I applaud you Holmberg! And thankyou for such an exciting, fulfilling read!

Wow! What a journey this has been. I started the Chain Breaker series in January of last last year never realizing that there would be 15 books to read, but I can honestly say the series has kept me entertained throughout the whole journey. I'll definitely be checking out some of his other series.

Great imagination. Rambles a bit. This series is a long one and the second half of it ties in other series the author has done. He could use a better editor. Otherwise it is a fun read.
