I'll Take A Chance

Rate this book
Amelia Wellington is a quiet, young, successful business woman. Her past relationships have left her with scars so deep she has sworn off men all together. Until that one fateful day she quite literally runs into Doctor Kyle Peters, that is.

Doctor Kyle Peters is a busy young OB/GYN holding on to a tragic past that has torn his family apart, making it difficult for him to give his heart to any woman. But when a beautiful woman crashes into him on a routine day at work, he finds his world turning upside down.

Will Running Into Love be enough for them to find a happily ever after together? Does Kyle have what it takes to heal Amelia’s broken heart and change her outlook on life? Will Kyle’s past result in tragedy as history repeats itself?

When it comes to matters of the heart, sometimes you have to run not walk.

This is a mature audience book and is intended for adults only.

4 Sensual & Sweet Stars

Gosh, when I need a book that will make my heart swell with good feelings I will pick up Annalisa Nicole. She is my go to author for feel good romance. Low on the angst but high on the emotions.

The closeness of family, the sweetness of romance and even some edge of your seat suspense. This story had it all. I love the different characters in the families depicted in this series. I just adored the love story and how it progressed. I get so tired of angsty reads sometimes. This book lifted my mood and left me smiling like silly sappy romantic.

I can't wait for more from this author.

This was a KU find I enjoyed.

It was very low angst and insta love with some heat.

This story is about Amelia and Ryan. Both have some issues but they don't get in the way of their romance. They open up and talk about the things that have hurt them so they deal as needed with them. There is some suspense added which helps make the story more interesting and leads to the another book in the series without it taking away from this story.

I thought it was well done and very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend.

I really enjoyed this story about two people finding each other unexpectedly and taking the chance at being happy and starting a new relationship.  Amelia is still dealing with the hurt her ex caused by his words and actions, and Kyle has been denying himself happiness since his twin sister disappeared.  They were the perfect pairing.

I could really feel how much Kyle was interested in seeing Amelia, wanting to spend as much time as possible together, but not wanting to move to fast and scare Amelia. The excitement of a new relationship and all those "butterfly" feelings between the two was fun to experience.  But just because there were alot of sweet moments - there were just as many hot, sexy moments that had me all hot and bothered!

Amelie was such a down to earth girl, you couldn't helf loving her and Kyle was definitely a catch - and he proved his loyalty and love throughout all the ups and downs that happened even at the beginning of their relationship.  It was good to get to know their other family members too - and I think I may have to go back and read the first book in this series - because I am surely looking forward to the next book about Adrian and Shay.

~~ 5 Stars ~~

I'll Take a Chance is book 2 in the Running into Love series by Annalisa Nicole. I thought this book was just as great as book 1 ( Take a Chance ) This book is another book that caters to the hopeless romantic. What I have truly enjoyed about both of these books is that we get a complete story. We see how the couple begins and what happens throughout the whole relationship and we get that HEA with some of what happens after it. I love how she sets up the next book at the end of each of the previous book. It gives us something to look forward to and then we also know who the next couple is going to be. I loved that the author added the element of suspense to this book. Book 1 was more of an emotional read and this one was more of a suspenseful read. She added a little twist to this story that I didn't see coming. I loved that she kept me guessing until the big reveal. Again I am sure people will think this book was a little over the top when it comes to the mushy love story and that it seemed rushed, but to me I loved it. I am all about the fairytale romance stories :)

This book was about Amelia ( Asher's sister ) and Dr. Kyle Peters ( Willows OB Dr. ) They meet at the end of Book 1 while Willow is at the hospital. They literally crash into each other. I thought Amelia and Kyle were perfect for each other. Each of them had something happened to them in the past which makes it hard for them to trust other people and open up to each other. I loved that they took there time to get to know each other. I will say I was a little disappointed with Amelia's big reveal….it wasn't what I expected and with the way she was reacting to it, I thought it was going to be something much different. I am not so sure that her reaction was all that believable to what her Ex Roger did. I get being upset about it and slightly embarrassed but to totally shut yourself down, I thought that was a little too much. With that said….it didn't take away from me enjoying this book. I thought what happened in Kyle's past was a much bigger deal. I can totally see how that would totally break a person and break a family apart. I am glad to see that everything worked out in the end for everybody. I did like Amelia's character when we meet her in book 1 and I continued to like her in book 2. I thought she was a very likable person and her bond with her family and friends was totally endearing. Kyle was also a very likable character. He was very swoon worthy and I loved that he loved Amelia unconditionally. Like he always said….scars and all :) That will make more sense once you read the book.

I really enjoyed that this book took place right where book 1 ended. We lose no time in between books. Which means that all the characters we meet in book 1 are in book 2 as well. I was so happy to see Asher and Willow have such a big part in this book. It was great getting to continue on with their story as well. We even got to meet a couple new characters, that I am excited to see where they go from here.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for that really sweet love story with a little bit of a suspense element added into it. This is also a very quick read, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I can't wait to read more about this family in the future books to come.

I have been so grateful to have the chance to read this authors work, starting off with her debut book "Take A Chance" and now with the second book in the series "I'll Take A Chance". What I love about Annalisa's books is how even though they aren't gut wrenching and super emotional they are still very grabbing and entertaining. This book is one of those light hearted reads that every once in a while you just NEED to have in your life to get away from those dark books I usually stray to. This book is a little more emotional and a tab bit darker than her first book but we still keep that light hearted feeling that I love so much from this author. I am glad to have gotten an ARC copy of this book and have read it. Once I started it I could not put it down. I was pulled into this couple's story.

This book focuses on Amelia Wellington and Dr. Kyle Peters. We met Amelia in the first book, she is Asher's little sister and Willow's boss. She seems to have a seemingly easy and good life. But deep inside she holds secrets that have her closed off to any type of relationship with men.

Dr. Kyle Peters has thrown himself into his work, he tries his hardest to just go day to day as he struggles with his own demons and past. Happiness does not seem be in his future, at least he doesn't believe it.

\Their meeting is a bit comical, and lighthearted. It seems very realistic. They instantly sense a connection with each other but are skeptical to let themselves fall for one another. They move slow in their relationship, slowly open up with each other about their hidden past and their demons. I will say their secrets really did SHOCK me, I did not expect it at all!! WOW! But together they seem to help each other move past it. Kyle helps Amelia so much! He helps her feel a woman for the first time in a long time. Just when everything seems to be going well, then a big SHOCKING twist in the story. WOW! Totally unexpected and shocking twist in the story. The way that the story unfolds is amazing and so wonderfully written.

What a beautifully written book, one filled with shocking moments, but also had me smiling and even blushing at times. Annalisa once again blew me away with her writing. I cannot wait to read the next book. I am curious to see what plays out for this next couple, which we meet towards the end of this book.

Thank you Lindsay.

Just when you thought that Annalisa Nicole couldn't create another breathtaking love story, out comes Amelia's story.

Willow and Asher Wellington just had a baby girl when Amelia comes barreling in with the largest bouquet of pink roses and runs over the handsome Dr. Kyle Peters. With the broken glass on the floor, accident prone Amelia reaches down and slices her hand open. Mesmerized by her eyes, Dr. Peter's insists on seeing her to the emergency room to insure that her hand is seen immediately.
Both gun shy with relationships because of their past, they can't seem to stay away from each other. Amelia has had a rough relationship that has left her broken by men. Kyle is afraid to let anyone in because he twin sister, Chloe, is missing and he just knows something is amiss. Letting each other in on their past fears has only made their newfound relationship stronger until Amelia's comes up missing. Knowing that family is everything, Asher will do whatever it takes to find his sister.
Luckily she is found along with Chloe. Their whirlwind romance only intensifies what they want and that taking a chance at love is worth it.

I couldn't help but fall in love with both Amelia for her bravery and strength that she suffered in both her past relationship and her ordeal. Kyle is sexy and protective over her the minute he sees her and makes me want to run into a doctor. I can't wait for what Annalisa has in-store for her next story with Adrian.

I just finished I'll Take a Chance and I really liked it. If you have been following the series the first one is Take a Chance (Willow and Asher) and this one is the second one about Kyle and Amelia. Amelia is Asher's sister and Willow is her personal Assistant at Wellington corp. At the very end of Take a Chance Willow and Asher are having their baby. Kyle is the OB/GYN that delivers their baby Abbey. When he is leaving he crashes into Amelia knocking her vase of flowers over and while picking up the pieces Amelia cuts her hand and he escorts her down to have it checked out. That is all she wrote! From an innocent altercation this then turns into a sweet ride. They both have their secrets and try to hid them but what happens when you feel that this person could be the one? Will they take a chance? You will have to read and see....

I really enjoyed this book. I thought that it flowed really well and for me the writing was better. The other I wasn't sure at times who was talking but can tell that it had gotten better. I love the whole family aspect in this and wasn't confused because trust me, there are a lot of characters.

Kyle is just yummy. He is sweet and sexy and a doctor. What more could you ask for? He was really loyal to Amelia even from the very beginning. He treated her with respect and that is what made me fall in love with him. I loved Amelia too. She is such a sweetheart and since she was burned in the past, I was really hoping for a happy ending for her. The chemistry between them is sexy and sweet. I just loved them.

I loved all the characters and cannot wait to see what happens. Adrian is next. SQUEAK!

Honestly for me this has gotten better and just cannot wait for more.

I’ll Take A Chance is the second book in the Running Into Love Series by Annalisa Nicole. As with the first book, Take A Chance, this love story begins with an event that leads the two main characters, Amelia Wellington and Kyle Peters, to have an awkward “running into each other” moment when they meet.

Amelia is at the hospital visiting her newborn niece. Upon entering her sister-in-law’s room carrying an enormous floral arrangement, she runs into someone sending the arrangement crashing to the floor. When she begins to clean up her mess while apologizing to the chest she’s run into, she decides to make eye contact. Dr. Kyle Peters is the human wall she made contact with, and he comes to her aid when a large shard of glass punctures her palm. Although Amelia seemingly has everything going for her, she is hurt when it comes to men, as they have not treated her very kindly thus far. Kyle has some deep personal issues that are impacting his ability to open up completely, and he finds it hard to trust because of it. But they each sense something kind and compatible in the other, which allows them to explore this instant attraction they both have. It also shows them there are things worth taking a chance on.

I’ll Take A Chance is a wonderful story of how deep love, and ultimately trust, can heal and mend a damaged heart and soul. Amelia and Kyle find that their hearts were made for each other, and you enjoy watching them grow together as people and as a couple. Each one provides exactly what the other needs, and their love and respect for each other is palpable.

Although this is a continuation of the Running Into Love series and you gain deeper understanding of the Wellington clan and the cast of characters, you can read it as a standalone. I give this 4.25/5 stars.

I was given an arc in exchange for an honest review, this may contain some mild spoilers.

I'll Take A Chance is the second book in the Running into Love series, it picks up not too long after Take A Chance finishes, with Willow in the hospital just after giving birth to her and Asher's daughter and Amelia rushing to the hospital to visit them, when she literally bumps into Dr Kyle Peters. Amelia is a clutz, accident prone at the best of times slices her hand open on broken glass and requires stitches.

Amelia has a past, she is scarred by her ex boyfriend Roger, he left her with nursing a shattered soul and feeling broken. Meeting Kyle gives her a reason to try again, to rebuild her sense of self worth, but Amelia isn't the only one with a past, Kyle's happy existence ended 2 years ago when he and his twin sister lost a patient and her unborn child during labour. It wasn't their fault and they were cleared of any wrong doing but his sister Chloe disappears not being able to cope with the guilt over losing a patient.

I'll Take A Chance was a darker read for me, Annalisa dealt with sensitive topics with respect, she didn't gloss over issues like self esteem, grief and learning how rebuild your life after tragedy strikes. I'll Take A Chance was a beautiful follow up to a stunning debut and I'm so excited to read Aiden Wellington's story next.

In the first book in the series we saw Asher and Willow's journey and although we see the continuation of their story it's through the eyes of the next couple who find each other.

Amelia is running late for the birth of her neice and when she finally gets there giant boquet and all it crashes to the floor when she runs into the OB/GYN she cuts her wrist but when looking up at the doctor she could easily forget about it when looking into his eyes.

Kyle didn't need to escort her to the ER but her couldn't deny the instant attraction to the beautiful albiet clutzy Amelia. Neither can deny their feeling for the other and things quickly progress. Both whoever have scars from their pasts and in both cases it could cause problems for the couple unless they work to overcome everything together.

Kyle is such a good guy and you can see it in his nurturing nature. The way he always looks after Amelia you can see that even though they have a whirlwind romance you can feel his love for her every step of the way. Amelia what can I say her innermonologue right from the start keeps you laughing and even when things are tense and tough her clutzy nature keeps you laughing. I loved seeing her love for her family shine through and the way she preservers through the tough things that happen you can't help but root for her happily ever after.

This is the second book in the Running into Love series by the amazing Annalisa Nicole. It follows the journey of Asher's sister, Ameila Wellington, and her soon to be fateful experience with Dr. Kyle Peters. Kyle is, if you read the first novel (which you should), the doctor who delivered Asher and Willow's baby. This story has a lot of twist and turns and its fun to finally see into Ameila's POV. As with tradition, this alternates between Ameila & Kyle's point of view. It's a really fun read and fast paced sometimes, but it works. Ameila is traumatized from a previous relationship, which touches on a subject many women experience, and should know not to be ashamed of. Kyle has to deal with his families history. The question is, can the two of them overcome their struggles and past to take a chance on love? Fun fact: this story isn't just romantic, it's filled with suspense as well. I totally suggest you read it, and if you haven't yet, read Take a Chance - the first book. Oh, and if you're still not convinced and judge books by their covers instead, well then look at I'll Take a Chance's cover and tell me you don't want to read it!

This is the second installment of the Running into Love series by Annalisa Nicole.

This story ends where Take a Chance ended, Willow and Asher had a daughter. Her doctor is caught in traffic (how horrible that would be) and Kyle delivers their baby Abbey. Amelia comes into their room in a hurry to meet her niece, crashes into Kyle, and drops a vase of flowers. Amelia tries to pick up the pieces of the broken glass, so nervous because of Kyle. Kyle is very adamant on getting her treated right then and there. Kyle finds Amelia attractive and wants to know her better.

When Amelia and Kyle start dating they hit it off well and Kyle is the perfect gentleman. Amelia is not used to this type of relationship, an actual boyfriend that treats her with respect. Amelia falls hard for Kyle, very fast.

Amelia’s ex, Roger, left her with a broken heart and a low self-esteem.

This was a great story and cannot wait till the next book.

Good book. Annalisa is very good at creating relationships that you believe. The progression feels natural. She has managed to create different issues then you normally run into in romance books which do help her books to stand out. I was surprised when I found out what Amelia’s issues from her past relationships were. It is not something I have ever read before. I find the plot point about halfway through the book with Kyle’s sister and Amelia to be a little out of place. It creates more issues then the story really needs. Overall I enjoyed Kyle and Amelia as a couple and much preferred the ending to this one compared to the first book in the series.

There are no words to describe this true love story. I was an awe of the storyline and how family and acceptance of an "unreal" fault brought together two amazingly giving people. Amelia and Kyle just fit and his willingness to her happiness just set my heart blazing.

I have read many contemporary romances but this was unique, well written, and showed the passion like no other. The part that sealed the deal for me was when he would hold her and reassure her that everything was okay. A TRUE man and loveable.

I'll Take A Chance by Annalisa Nicole

This one is a huge no for me. I wasn't crazy about book 1 in the series, but I own this in signed paperback from a charity auction, so I gave it a read. Again, the characters aren't all bad, but the story is just too far gone. It is written in his and hers POVs, but in a very childish way. This is a doctor and a marketing executive, both nearing 30 that think, talk, and act like children. Then they get XXX (in chapter 2) which pulls it out of all the categories. And don't even get me started with the editing, I just can't.

I LOVED Kyle! This is actually one series so far where I actually like all the characters. Would love to be friends with them. Especially Willow. But back to #2.....
I totally would have given this 5 but the kidnapping/rescue was a little too far fetched for me. If it was so easy to make the connection to the man 2 years later why didn't anyone think of that earlier.
Regardless, I will continue to read this series.

After reading Annalisa Nicole’s debut novel, Take A Chance, and finding that for a book that dealt with some pretty serious and life changing events it was pleasantly sweet and heartwarming, I was expecting another upbeat and amusing love story from its follow up, I’ll Take a Chance, and that’s just what I got.

This series isn’t called running into love for no reason. Amelia Wellington literally crashes into Dr. Kyle Peters while rushing to visit Willow, from book one, in the hospital. This accidental encounter is cute, sweet, and comical and sets off a whole chain of events leading to Kyle and Amelia taking a chance on each other.

Amelia has sworn off men since her last and only serious boyfriend left her with some deep emotional scars and some pretty serious insecurities. I’ll Take A Chance takes an unexaggerated and realistic look into Amelia’s bedroom activities and unlike most contemporary romances these days illustrates a steamy and immensely satisfying love life without four plus orgasms on demand with every encounter which seems to the norm in most stories these days. I think there will be a lot of women who will be able to relate to Amelia and I applaud Annalisa Nicole for addressing what may be a concern for many women and showing that there is still plenty of romance and fulfillment to be had. Kyle also has some lingering issues in his past that come back to haunt the couple in a mysterious turn of events that was a bit surprising and lent a dose of suspense to the story.

Unfortunately I found that I was unable to make any sort of significant attachment to either character. Amelia was sweet and relatable but while her constant clumsiness and bouts of verbal diarrhea should have been endearing I couldn’t help but find it slightly irritating. Kyle was charming and understanding but with him there just seemed to be something missing that made it him hard to really connect with and honestly I think that was probably a lack of any strong emotion emanating from this story. Even during the “intense” moments, I just wasn’t feeling the emotion in it.

Along those same lines their relationship was definitely a whirlwind and maybe because things happened so fast or maybe because I wasn’t connecting with the feelings in the events, I feel like there was no falling. It seemed like the butterflies and the passion was sort of skipped over and we were thrown right into the forever.

All in all, I’ll Take A Chance was a delightful, enjoyable love story that is a great continuation of Willow and Asher’s story and leads right into the third Wellington sibling’s story. Adrian’s story sounds intriguing with a mystery woman from his past and I can’t wait to find out more.

His name is Kyle Peters, and he is a doctor. He has known suffering and loss. He has gone through madness and despair. His twin was ripped away from him without a hint or a trace, it was completely against who he was to try and accept that concept. People talk about twin connections, and he believes in his 100%. In Kyle’s mind there is no explanation for his sister’s disappearance, other than foul play. No one else sees that far into the case, they believe she left of her own free will because of devastation. He won’t give up on her, he believes his only mission is to find her. It doesn’t matter to him what his family thinks, or what the police say. Chloe would have never left her family voluntarily, Kyle knows this and when he states how he feels it tears apart some of their family relationships.
Her name is Amelia Wellington, and she has been through intimate hell. She doesn’t even want to try again with another man, and why should she? She damn sure cannot think of a good reason to try again. At least, that is the way she thinks until she meets the good doctor. Why him, she asks herself… Why now? She doesn’t feel ready, and she doesn’t have any way of knowing he doesn’t either.
Amelia has talked with her best friend turned sister-in-law, and Willow who cannot understand why the beautiful and healthy Amelia doesn’t want to try when the possibility of love is on the line.
He has experienced tragedy, loss and devastation. She has only had love in her family, but the only thing she has ever known in her intimate relationships is disappointment. Why? What could possibly be wrong with her that her stories do not match up to the other girls’ when they discuss personal things? Amelia has come to accept her own personal defects as a part of life, it may be a cruel part, but it definitely is what she has become accustomed to.
Until the good doctor steps in. Can they make a go of it? Can they overcome their own personal demons? Neither are sure, and they are both hesitant to make a decision that could alter everything. Are either one of them willing to let go of the hurt and empty promises that life has left them with?
To be sure you can pick up your own copy of I’ll Take A Chance, Book Two of Annalisa Nicole’s Running Into Love’s series.
*Please read book one (Take A Chance) first, these books are a series and (personally, not good as a stand alone)
I hope you enjoy these books as much as I have. In today’s world it is hard to come across a book(s) that are not just excuses for intimate scenes. (Don’t get me wrong here, this book is definitely steamier than book 1, but both have a heartwarming story to tell)

***THIS BOOK WAS GIVEN TO ME IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW***

***Tina, #NerdGirlMama's Review***

Annalisa Nicole did it again, I’ll Take a Chance is another beautifully written love story that warms your heart and is an absolute must read. If you have not read the first book Take a Chance then get it and read it first, although the way Annalisa wrote this book it could stand on its own.

This book starts out in Amelia’s POV and she is in her office trying to get things settled and rush off to the Hospital to see her new born niece. Now as the series is called Running into Love, Amelia comes barreling into her sister-in-law’s room with the largest bouquet of pink roses and runs over the handsome Dr. Kyle Peters. With the broken glass on the floor, accident prone Amelia reaches down and slices her hand open. Mesmerized by her eyes, Dr. Peter's insists on seeing her to the emergency room to insure that her hand is seen immediately. Thus the love story begins between two people who are not looking for nor do they want a relationship, but they just cannot seem to stay away from each other as they are drawn to each other. This love story did seem a little more rushed than the first book, but I did not mind it. Annalisa touches on a subject that a lot of women go through with an ex-boyfriend and yes no one talks about it, bravo for adding it as a part of the story. No I am not going tell you what it is…

This story is written from both main characters POV’s Amelia and Kyle, so as you read the story you get to know what each of them are feeling as the story progresses. Annalisa paints you the picture and you have no trouble seeing what you read. You get the continuation of Willow and Asher’s life, the same family bond and closeness of the Wellington family. This is a love story that gives you all the warm feeling of love and is about trust, loss, recovery, healing, second chances, learning how to love again. It also has a few twist you do not see coming and with that a bit of conflict, mystery, suspense, and crime. I give this a 4.5 and I round up, I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good feel good love story, so do not miss out on this series, go one click it today. I cannot wait to read the next book.

*****I received an ARC in exchange for honest review*****

I'll Take a Chance is the second book in the Running Into Love series. It picks up right where Take A Chance ends. Amelia Wellington is at the hospital rushing to see Willow and her new baby. When Amelia crashed into Kyle Peters the handsome doctor that delivered her new baby niece Abbey she drops the vase of flowers that she is holding, and while picking up the pieces she cuts her hand. Kyle offers to that her to the ER to get it looked at.

Amelia has issues due to a past relationship and has given up on men. Kyle sad past means that he too is not looking for love. However when theses to meet the attraction is instant and both think that maybe they have found the person who could heal their broken hearts, and who could make them take a chance on love again.

“Men are scum, stick to your plan, it’s a good plan. Plan and simple, no men! Men are scum”

“There is something about this woman. I sensed it from the first moment I was her come into that room with those ridiculous flowers. I just couldn’t take my eyes of her”

The storyline is told from Amelia and Kyle’s POV about healing, family, second chances and taking a chance on love. There was some mystery, suspense and romance. I did have a few issues with the story that meant I liked it but not loved it. Amelia and Kyle were sweet together, I did think that their relationship was a bit too insta love for me, I would have like to have seen their relationship developed slower, and; therefore, I think I would have connected better to them.

There were some touching moments, but there were times when I was thinking would that really happen. The story felt rushed and times, and, therefore, lacked proper development, and I also found myself getting confused with the timeline. There is no epilogue in this one, but I didn’t mind and I have to say due to my feelings about the one in the first book I was pleased about.

Overall and regardless of my issues I'll Take a Chance is a sweet love story. I like that Willow and Asher again and getting a little snippet into what was happening in there lives, and meeting new characters. From reading the last page, I know that the next book in the series Second Chance is about another one of the wellington gang Adrian and I’m sure we will get more of Amelia and Kyle. ☺

I'll Take a Chance is the second book in the Running Into Love series. And I have to say it was a decent read, but I expected more. I almost feel like it is a step down from book one, Take A Chance. I love the concept of these stories. That they literally are running into the ones that they are meant to be with. And this story does not lack when it comes to the chance meeting between Amelia and Kyle.

I'll Take A Chance, picks up right where Take A Chance ends. Amelia is rushing to the hospital to make it in time to meet her new niece or nephew, when she crashes into the handsome ob/gyn that just delivered her brothers baby girl Abbey. When Amelia cuts her hand, while trying to pick up glass from the broken vase that she dropped, Kyle steps into help her. He escorts her to the ER and makes sure that she is taken care of. Is it love at first sight? I think it could be.

Amelia has sworn off all men. Roger her ex treated her so badly in the end, that she has been led to believe that she is broken. After breaking down and confessing to Willow about her insecurities, she decides to take a chance on Kyle. What she slowly starts to find out is that Kyle has fears of his own. His twin sister has been missing for the past two years and he has run out of places to look. She disappeared after a tragedy happened one night at work. And he is hesitant to talk to Amelia about it.

I am going to just put this all out there, I found Kyle and Amelia's relationship happened to fast. They both confided in one another way to quickly and I found their instant devotion to one another a little to cutesy. I felt that the story was fairly well written, but just lacked something. It was filled with a bit of a mystery and we do get that answers needed to understand Kyle's sister disappearance. But there was just something that was not there. I lacked the punch that I needed, to see it step up and above book one. I was glad to see a continuation on Asher and Willow's story wrapped into this book as well. I do enjoy Annalisa Nicole's writing style and will continue to read this series. I want to see where it goes from here. All in all a decent read, just did not meet my expectations.

4.5 stars !!

Amelia Wellington is in a rush to get to the hospital to see Willow, her sister-in-law, friend and assistant as she goes into labour. But first she needs to get the biggest bouquet of flowers she can find, thus making her later than she already is. Klutzy girl that she is, she literally runs into Dr Kyle Peters, drops the vase of flowers, breaks the flowers, gets everything wet and then proceeds to cut her hand picking up a piece of glass. Of course hunky Dr. Peters comes to her rescue and accompanies her to the ER so she can get stitches.

I was expecting a nice easy romantic read with this story and it was anything but that. Our hero Amelia manages to almost knock over a huge pregnant lady, spill a bottle of expensive wine in the bathtub and almost burn her newly stitched hand in the water.

Amelia is very attracted to this new Dr Peters as he keeps coming to her rescue but she is leary about getting involved with him because of her past in scumbag Roger. Seems Roger has clouded Amelia’s belief in herself as an attractive sexual women. He has called her names and belittled her. It is up to Kyle to prove to her that she is a remarkable woman both in and out of the bedroom.

Now Kyle has his own past issues that he is dealing with regarding the disappearance of his twin sister Chloe two years ago and the knowledge that he does not know where she went or if she even went willingly.

I really liked reading this story. It was the second story in the Running Into Love series. I enjoy reading books that continue over more than one story. We really get a feel for the characters as we become part of their lives on a more long term basis. This story had a great cast of characters, all who shared the lime light with Amelia and Kyle. I think it is very important in a good story that the secondary characters contribute something, it makes the story so much more enjoyable to read if there is more going on than just the romance between the hero and heroine. I think this story should be rated 4.5/5 and would enjoy reading more by this author and this series.

I purchased this book knowing it was a sequel and felt pretty sure I had a handle about all things "Amelia". Book #1 was amazing and what I was most struck by was this amazing family, especially the strong and supportive Amelia. As this was a sequel I was thinking I was going to be bored to tears as I usually am with sequels. The predictable formula...UGH! I read the first 20 pages or so of this book and was literally belly laughing. OK, so I was Amelia and Amelia was me. My family has labeled me "Ms. Accident Waiting to Happen" for years now. This was such a breath of fresh air from the health drama from the first book. THEN Ms. Nicole hits me a twist I could never have predicted. It was off to the races for me and she had me hook, line, and sinker. Then we have our MD who has issues that almost equal her issues. We have twist upon twist. Boy was I NOT bored...there was no time because the story just kept coming and coming. I was thrilled in a way that was sooo amazingly different from the first book. I LOVED this book and it will take its place right next to the first book. What I ALSO HAVE to say here is that when I was finished I took the time to read Ms. Nicole's bio and was SHOCKED to learn she has been writing for TWO years. I have reads hundreds and hundreds of books and this quality writing just can't be coming from a brand new author. It just can't ! I am telling you folks Annalisa Nicole has writing chops and then some. I can't wait to see what she does in the future. This indie author has clearly announced her presence to the writing world as a force to be reckoned with. I was thrilled to be able to write this for her without having been asked nor being promised a thing. I hope she feels it's done justice to her amazing work. Thank you very much! Excellent Job Annalisa. denise bailey
