"Delectable You" by Simona Taylor is a light-hearted small-town romantic comedy that throws Shelby and Killian together in what can only be described as a meet-cute... if your idea of cute involves a plumbing emergency.
Shelby, our protagonist, is trying to make her way in the world. Killian, on the other hand, is the mysterious new guy in town, wrestling with baggage that's heavier than a truckload of antique toilets (and you'll see, there are antique toilets).
From their, shall we say, unconventional first encounter, the attraction between them isclear. You know, that kind of attraction that makes you wonder if they're going to spontaneously combust from sheer chemistry. It seems like fate has finally decided to play matchmaker, until—plot twist!—a woman from Killian's past shows up with a revelation that could throw a wrench into their budding romance.
"Delectable You" serves up small-town charm with a side of quirky characters and a generous helping of flirtatious banter. It's the kind of book that doesn't take itself too seriously, and you'll find yourself chuckling along as Shelby and Killian navigate the ups and downs of their relationship.
