Cute as heck. Opening was hilarious and on brand. I love seeing Merchant Cai's perspective. My 2 year old finds it hilarious despite knowing nothing of the show.
As someone who watched Avatar: the Last Airbender on repeat as a kid (and still to this day), I adored this book! It was so fun to follow merchant Cai through his journey of selling cabbages. In the show I did always wonder how this man was just always in the wrong spot at the wrong time, and now I know.
I just wish there were a little more illustrations. I also found it interesting that if you had never seen this show, or only watched it a little, you would be a little confused by the "background" characters, because it doesn't really talk about them in this book. It's one of those books that you do need to have watched the show in order to be able to fully understand what's going on.
Otherwise, this was such a fun read, and I'm so happy I stumbled upon it.

Absolutely hilarious. Follow Aang and his friends' journey to defeat the Fire Lord from the perspective of Merchant Cai, the cabbage merchant. Cai dreams of selling his cabbages throughout the Earth Kingdom and sets out to do just that. But each time, his efforts are thwarted by the villainous Avatar.
A well-written story that is humorous, sweet, and fun. The artwork is adorable and wonderfully captures the characters of the show.
A great read for fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender who can't get enough of screaming, "My cabbages!"
I was looking around Coliseum of Comics with my friend and the cover caught my eye so I picked it up, and flipped through it to read a few pages!!! Oh wow it was so freaking hysterical we couldn't stop laughing we were so loud lol.
If you love avatar and love this reference and need a good laugh pick it up or perhaps send to a friend they will love it !! Only down side other can be a bit repetitive.
had to add this to my goodreads as a documentation of my second ever time at target (football america god bless the troops woohoo!!!) loved knowing he got his happy ending too
