A witchy matchmaker faces off against a grumpy Christmas tree farmer with a heart encased in ice.
Delia Frost wants only one thing for Christmas: to earn a promotion at her mystical agency known for granting holiday miracles. She wouldn't mind a stocking stuffer with the attention of her longtime office crush either, but neither of those gifts are under her tree unless she completes the case file that just landed on her desk.
Her mission? Travel to the quaint, snow-dusted town of Wood Pine and work her magic on Jack Bradley, a rugged, Christmas tree farmer with a heart as cold as winter itself. All she has to do is make Jack fall in love with the shy, yet talented, local pastry chef by midnight on Christmas Eve, and the promotion is hers.
The problem? As Delia weaves her spells, she finds herself drawn to Jack, igniting feelings she never planned for.
But Jack’s heart won’t melt without a fight.
Known for his Scrooge Complex, Jack's world is more about pine needles than tinsel and joy until Delia Frost blows into his life like a bad winter storm. The last thing he needs is the meddlesome woman playing matchmaker. But when unexpected sparks fly, he’s torn between driving the woman out of town and hoping she’s his Christmas miracle.
**Witching You A Charmed Christmas is a laugh-out-loud, grumpy vs. sunshine sweet romance with steamy kisses, loads of witty banter, and all the magic of Christmastime!**
Author of paranormal romance with a fairytale twist. I'm currently writing a spin-off to the Ever Dark, Ever Deadly series that will release spring of 2025.
I also write paranormal rom-coms with the third book in the Witching You series coming out November 2025!
As a reader, I enjoy all things romance, especially paranormal and fantasy. My all-time favorite series is the Immortals After Dark by Kresley Cole. I also binge mysteries and thrillers, the spookier the better!
This was a short funny Christmas story. This is book 1️⃣ of Witching You.
This story is about a witchy matchmaker who faces off against a grumpy Christmas tree 🎄 farmer with a heart encased in ice 🧊. Delia Frost wants only one thing for Christmas….to earn a promotion at her mystical agency known for granting holiday miracles. She has a crush on a guy in her office. She wouldn’t mind a stocking stuffer from him.

All she has to do is make Jack fall in love with the shy, yet talented local pastry chef by midnight on Christmas Eve and the promotion is hers. Jack’s world is more about pine 🌲 needles than tinsel and joy. The last thing he needs is the meddlesome woman playing matchmaker. Unexpected sparks 🧨 start flying. He is torn. This was a cute short story perfect for the holidays.
Witching You A Charmed Christmas was honestly such a funny Christmas novella to read. It felt like stepping into a small bubble of joy, and I found myself rooting for both main characters from start to finish. I was looking for a holiday novella that wasn’t just romance, and this one - already waiting on my Kindle - turned out to be a really pleasant surprise.
Keep in mind that this is a quick, cozy escape, so don’t expect anything too deep or impactful. The witchy elements are fairly light, and the characters’ emotional growth isn’t fully explored, but the story’s writing style completely won me over, and I had an absolute blast reading it.
Delia Frost is a witchy matchmaker hoping to earn a promotion (and maybe some attention from her longtime office crush). She’s sent to the snow-dusted town of Wood Pine with one mission: make Jack Bradley, a grumpy Christmas tree farmer with a heart as cold as winter, fall in love with the town’s shy but talented pastry chef by Christmas Eve. Delia was fun to follow - sometimes decisive and proactive, other times a bit superficial - but overall she fit the tone of the story well.
Jack, on the other hand, is a holiday Scrooge. His attitude comes from past trauma, which I wish had been explored a little more, but his personality pairs perfectly with Delia’s. I loved their banter, their little “traps,” and the classic grumpy x sunshine dynamic.
Yes, it’s cliché, but in the best way. The banter is witty, the chemistry feels genuine despite the short length, and the writing is simple but effective. My only real complaint is that the ending felt a bit rushed, but considering this is a novella, it didn’t ruin the experience for me. Overall, this was a cute, festive, and heartwarming holiday read that I’d absolutely recommend if you’re looking for something light, cozy, and perfect for the Christmas season. ✨🎄
If you are looking for a sweet, predictable, hallmark Christmas type comfort read, then this is for you. Jack and Delia are the definition of grumpy, or in this case Scroogy, sunshine trope.
This was the perfect balance of Christmas and Romantic Comedy. The rival to lover type banter was fun and had me chuckling out loud. Not spicy, like maybe 1x🌶 which is basically just kissing, haha. Should definitely be the next Netflix Christmas special.
It was a very quick read at about 114 pages and it went by fast because it was so fun I didn't wanna put it down. Gonna definitely pick up more books by this Author if they are all as good as this one. I grabbed this one during a stuff-your-kindle event and am very glad I did. ❤️💚
I quite enjoyed this witchy little holiday novella! It was a sweet and clean romance about a witch who is assigned a grumpy Christmas tree farmer as her project. Take care of business, she receives a promotion and moves up the ladder of the paranormal agency she works for. Dealing with Jack presents some obstacles to overcome, but Delia handles it in stride and ends up completing her task and securing a surprising HEA in the process!
I enjoyed that this novel was different than other holiday romances I've read so far this year. The paranormal element was fun! I think there needed to be some more romantic moments between Delia and Jack and more development for why Jack was so grumpy in order to get more stars. Still, it was better than some holiday novels/novellas I've read so it earns a 3 star rating for fun and whimsy. Recommended for someone looking for something short, sweet, and magical this season.
Y'all know by now I am not a Hallmark book kinda gal....but this one was sooooo cute and surprised to tell you not a touch of spice at all....just a cute christmas novella making me want more of their story and I found myself wishing it wasn't coming to the end of the book.
I was expecting more heat from this, and it was barely luke warm... Just another magical, witchy, cozy Christmas read; wasn't as special as u had hoped for.
I've been struggling to find a Christmas romance to read this year that gives me all of the Christmas vibes and genuinely keeps my interest, and I'm happy to say that this book hit the spot in all of the best ways! Even though it was a short novella, the romance didn't feel rushed at all to me and the overall story was engaging and funny. I found Delia and Jack to be delightful characters and their antics kept me entertained. If you're looking for a sweet, short, and very fun book just in time for the Holiday season I highly recommend this one! I will definitely be checking out more from this author as I patiently wait for the second book in this series to release!
Christmas meddling magic Grumpy Christmas tree farmer MMC Candy Cane Princess (nickname) FMC . Christmas tree farm that needs saving Christmas grump that needs to remember the magic of Christmas. Witch that learns sometimes real magic happens when you want something and let yourself have it. No 3rd act breakup (technically it doesn’t count in my opinion) For those wondering there is no 🌶️
I was skeptical when the story opened up with a corporate miracle granting agency that employees witches. I was ready to DNF it on that alone but it kept popping up on my Instagram and the claim of banter had me picking it back up. Glad I gave it a second try. I wasn’t really getting witchy vibes from it though. More like Christmas angle with powers in a hallmark movie. However, the banter between the MCs was good. The relationship develops in a way that doesn’t feel too insta love but just the right about of it. The MMC starts off as your classic Christmas Scrooge but we quickly learn there is definitely more to his dislike of Christmas than meets the eye. The FMC is our witch with holiday cheer coming out the ying yang. She has one job to do and she will finally get everything she thinks she wants. But sometimes what we think we want isn’t want our heart wants. There was a surprise and a twist that kept the story going and really made it good and I was able to put aside my dislike for the whole corporate witch granting miracles thing and really enjoy the story. It was a great kick off to my Christmas theme reading. I recommend if you want something with some match making magic chimes and sabotaging.
Is it time for Christmas books already? It's always time for Christmas books! One thing you know for sure with Christmas books is that they will make you feel warm and happy and cozy and comforted. And since I enjoyed the fairytale retellings by this author an awful lot, I just had to order the rest of her backlist, including this one.
Of course this story is quite predictable from the start. That's also part of the joy. We all know how this story is gonna end and therefore we can really enjoy the ride. We can enjoy the banter, the pranks, the little bits of miscommunication and the almost dramatic ending that of course leads to a very happily ever after eventually.
I also really liked the setting of this story. Small towns and Christmas are a match made in heaven. And even though the heroine doesn't return to her own hometown this time, it's easy to understand why she would fall in love with this place. Despite the slight dislike of the hero this town does have a lot of love to give.
Since this is a novella everything does happen quite fast and yet it never feels really rushed. We understand what the hero and heroine see in each other. We understand why they fall for each other so easily. The chemistry is quite clearly there and there have been so many moments I've been laughing out loud because of those two!
I'm already looking forward to the next installment in this series!
Witching You a Charmed Christmas was such a fun, festive first book in the Witching You series. Delia is an adorable ball of chaotic holiday sunshine, and Jack is the ultimate grumpy Christmas tree farmer whose heart is clearly just waiting to be thawed. Their grumpy-sunshine dynamic is perfection. Watching Delia’s chaos collide with Jack’s very Scrooge-y demeanor made their banter especially enjoyable.
The Christmas tree farm setting is peak cozy and gave me all the small-town holiday vibes I crave in a seasonal romance. The side characters added a really nice layer without overpowering the main couple. Grandma Jean and her little ladies’ group were especially cute. The pacing felt just right, never rushed and never dragging, and the emotional beats landed exactly where they needed to.
The romance is clean with just some steamy, romantic kisses, which fit the sweet, whimsical tone of the story perfectly. This book was charming, witty, and heart-warming from start to finish. I’m already fully invested in this world and can’t wait to keep going with the rest of this standalone series.
Let me begin by saying if you are looking for spice, this is not the book for you. This book is more like a Hallmark movie, which isn't bad and it's not a complaint, but for those who require open-door spice, this is not the book for you.
I honestly loved this concept, and aside from the potential for things to go wrong, I feel like Delia has the coolest job. This is such a great setup for a romance, and I enjoyed the whole thing. Delia is earnest without trying too hard, she's awkward in some ways that you'd expect for someone trying not to mess up their big break. Jack's reasons for disliking the holidays make so much sense that you can't really begrudge him for feeling how he does, it's easy to be on his side, even when he's being grumpy, he's never that grumpy. My one note, more opossum!
Grandma Jean is a treasure, perhaps my favorite character in the book, I love characters like her, she is exceptional and so much fun.
All in all this was really enjoyable and I could easily see it being made into a Hallmark Christmas movie, if anyone wants my opinion about it… what it lacked in spice it more than made up for with sweetness and humor. This book is a good time.
I started this book and in the first several pages I was worried that I wasn't going to like it. I was turned off initially by Delia's obsession with catching the eye of her co-worker Simon and how she downplayed his easy dismissal of her. But thankfully, as I got deeper into the story, particularly during the part where she finally meets Jack, I was hooked. I saw Delia then in a better light: she was feisty, witty, and oh-so-determined. Her hilarious duels with Jack were so entertaining. And I loved seeing Jack slowly emerge from this hardened shell as Delia craftily crumbled his walls. Then that surprise towards the end had my pulse racing as I thought, they couldn't do that to Jack! Of course I was delighted at the satisfying resolution of that crisis, and was overjoyed with Jack's surprise appearance in the end. This was definitely a delight to read and I am so glad to have picked it up! Thank you, Jenna!
What a heartwarming and magical holiday read! I absolutely loved following Becca, Delia, and Jack as they navigated love, friendship, and a touch of Christmas magic. The concept of staying in a cozy hotel to “fix” love during the Christmas season was so creative and comforting—it felt like the perfect holiday escape.
I especially adored the granny in the story—she added so much warmth, wisdom, and a sprinkle of humor to every scene she was in. And the detail about naming a special plant was such a unique and meaningful touch—it made the story feel even more personal and charming.
Overall, Witchy You a Charmed Christmas is a delightful mix of romance, magic, and holiday spirit. Perfect for anyone who loves cozy Christmas stories with a little witchy twist! 🎄💫
Lines I liked from the book.
Things will happen exactly as they are meant to be. I have faith in that. Miracles happen with love and a little magic.
I’ve just read the best grumpy to sunshine Christmas read. It was romantic just wonderfully Christmasy and the banter between the main characters. Delia and Jack were just phenomenal. They had great chemistry together. From their first encounter. She almost tripped when getting out the taxi. She tells him: you could use a little road salt back there. And he thinks while scowling Nope. This pixie sprite of holiday nonsense and best business practices was NOT staying here. See what mean? I loved it. There was snazzy dialogue all throughout this cute holiday read. I think I love it because it wasn’t a typical Christmas story because of the paranormal factor. That definitely said it apart from other holiday reads. There is another book in this series so I’ll check that out as well. Thank you Jenna Collette💜🩷

The vibes: - holiday novella - Instalove - Scrooge of a small town - A witch - Closed door
My thoughts: The concept of the agency full of witches who grant miracles and magical meet cutes was adorable. The “holiday division” who specializes in Christmas magic is such a fun idea.
It was really cute, and I wished it was longer. I loved the vibes of this so much, but there wasn’t quite enough time for the relationship or characters to feel fully fleshed out. I had moments where I didn’t feel like I knew either character on a deeper level, but I still had so much fun reading this.
It was a really cute, quick holiday novella with a very unique concept that I thought was so cool. I’m definitely jumping right into book 2.
This was as predictable, lukewarm, and underwhelming as they come. I am pretty sure I will have forgotten about the plot, the characters, even that I have ever read this book a few months from now.
The characters were flat. The story didn't move fast, which is characteristic for a novella, but rushed and jumped a few corners. I got the feeling there were tropes the author wanted to serve - cozy, christmas, grumpy vs. sunshine, small town drama - and just threw a story in to connect them. I get this a lot lately with books, *especially* in every genre even slightly touching romance.
This book is for you if you need a quick, cozy read to escape your everyday life (valid!). But don't expect to be emotionally moved or take something from it.
