Fun Read
One thing Imani is gonna do is give you some damn good spice. Kenji had a filthy mouth and backed up everything he said. He did everything possible to get Nia back. She definitely didn't make it easy for him to win her back.

Ooo, Kenji and Nia!! 🔥🔥🔥
I've been waiting for this series to start, and wow, did it start off with a banger. Imani Jay is a master writer of instalove, instalust HEA romances. And with this book, she ate and left no crumbs!!
Kenji wasn't a believer of love at first sight like his friends Alessio and Dmitry. That is until he saw Nia. He knew she belonged to him. Nia was just out with her girls having fun when she came face to face with Kenji. She knew her life was about to change. Overall, I loved this book. The storyline was awesome. The chemistry, passion, and flirtation between Kenji and Nia were 🔥🔥🔥🔥. I also loved that she included characters from her other mafia and bratva books. It made the story more fun to read. This was definitely an awesome start to the Book Boyfriend series. I look forward to reading the next book.

I found something that's an even bigger ick than daddy. "Will you, baby? Let Papa Ken rub his big dick all over your beautiful body?" It took everything I had in me to keep going after that and only did so because the book is only 70 pages, I'd already made it about 30%, and Y is one of the last letters I needed for my goodreads challenge.
I have no idea how this book has 4.05 stars right now. The word fucking is used over 160 times in 70 pages. The conflict was beyond ridiculous and was basically the only plot because most of the beginning was a very long sex scene. I hate when people rate novellas low saying it was too short, but I have read plenty of novellas that can get a decent story told in that many pages and this one just didn't.

this could have been a four-star read, but instead of just providing a brief and straightforward epilogue for nia and kenji, you have to “subscribe” to the author's newsletter in order to read it. however, the link is no longer functional, so their story ends abruptly.
they didn't speak or see each other for a month due to a misunderstanding, so this book already lacked some romance. i’m just annoyed because novellas need epilogues to tie everything together and make the story feel finished, especially when it's already so short. perhaps it’s just me. 🤷🏻♀️

Kenji was sex walking, and Nia was drawn to him. they fell in instant love, just the whole nine yards. and the night he planned on making her his, an unfortunate meeting brought him to realize that their happily ever was not in the cards until his uncle was dealt with. he had to break both of their hearts to save both of them. I'm glad it turned, but I would have enjoyed more Kenji. sexy yakuza.

I’ve read some crappy smut in my time but this???? This is hands down the worst. From having to read two pages between dialogue and not even remembering what was previously read and have to go back to scope the full context. Draining! Then don’t get me started on what’s supposed to pass as dirty talk 🤮🤮🤮

I truly love that Kenji and Nia didn't even blink about their instant fire connection. There is a hiccup that was unavoidable if they wanted their HEA.
Too bad the link to find out about the epilogue no longer works. I also prefer the epilogue to be at the end when the story is so short.

Oh My Gosh
This was amazing. I could not put it down. Except I literally had to stop when the Uncle showed up. I was like nooooo, not now. Omg. Wonderful. Wonderfully written the cadence of the book is amazing the wording the descriptions I thoroughly thoroughly enjoyed this book. Thank you

Me wishing this wasn't a short story and wasn't instalove/ instalust. Slow burn would've made this one sooo perfect ntm I was hoping the couple would've met via the book boyfriend platform🤷♀️ That's why I picked it up cuz I thought that's how they would have met and developed a relationship but oh well the cover is still bangin' bro😂😂

This was a shorter read, and it could have been longer with more details and I would have probably rated it higher. It wasn't bad- but really nothing to write home about. It felt rushed. I liked the concept but wish it would have been developed more. Either way, short read and achieved a "Y" for my A-Z challenge.

A classic case of boy meets girl
With them going to bed after just meeting and blowing each other's socks off
But the boy is in the Yakuza and has business to take care of so he was to pretend to not be interested which hurts the girl.
This was hella filthy but short and cute. Had some spelling errors but nothing that can't be overlooked.

I love this book. 5 Stars I like how it was heat between Nia and Kenji it was a handshake and next she is telling her friends she will see them later. How Kenji protected her from his Uncle Seita was harsh but once he tells his friend Alessio and Maty what happen and how much he loves her. Maty help him get her friend back and that is a great friend. 5 stars

This quick read is full of emotion and steamy. I love that he knows what he wants and is willing to put the work in to get. I also love that she allows him to chase that second chance at a real relationship.

Great short story. The chemistry was off the charts. He fell instantly and she did too. I don't know much about Yakuza but I would love to know more. Such a loving, strong alpha male.

Not one lie was told. It’s a short story with insta love on both ends. There’s bit of groveling but not a lot considering it’s a short story. Almost wish it was longer to have the connection seem more genuine.

It was cute lol. No plot at all, and she wasn't playing when she said "insta-love". It was very spicy and I enjoyed it lol. Anytime I get to read about a black curvy FMC, I always leave with a smile.. No complaints on my end. I just wish she had heard him out sooner lol.
