Rogues
Half-Breed:
Wolfe Longwalker

Proud of his heritage, he used words as a writer to battle the white man. His enemies used a more basic method: they were about to hang Wolfe for a crime he didn't commit.

So when Noel Giraudeau, a modern-day princess, found herself in 1896 Arizona, what else could she do except rescue Wolfe? But he was a man who didn't trust anyone, least of all a woman. On the run from the law, their passionate adventure quickly turned into something much more real but Noel's destiny was back in her own time and Wolfe's was in his.

Pure paranormal romance. Once you get past the impossibility of time travel and implausibility of a modern-day princess and 1876 native American/halfbreed, the romance in this book just plain -DID- work. The sparks that flew off these two and their mutual attraction and admiration were entirely plausible, as were the obstacles they had to overcome (given the willing suspension of disbelief of time travel). The authors research into the geographical setting and the Dineh/Navajo added necessary realism to anchor this story and make it feel real.

A surprise ending that I won't spoil ... a rare 'to be continued' almost for a Harlequin romance. Entirely satisfied with my investment of time and money to read this book.

The Outlaw is a time-travel story involving a modern day (circa 1996) princess (who is also psychic)and an American Indian half breed author(1896). There are better choices. 3/5
