One day, Ella is in the office and starts reading one of her naughty books. THOUGHTS: Oh my god. Evie Rose's books just keep getting hotter and hotter. I adore Rafe's nickname for Ella- his little sunshine dragon. They're complete opposites but fit each other so perfectly. The opening scene to this novella was a surprise to me but I LOVED IT. Aren't we all obsessed with our book boyfriends and try to read all the time? I'd love to have my own Rafe sneak up behind me, catch me doing something naughty, and then make me finish reading the book to keep getting more hot and bothered. That sounds like a dream.
The storyline is so sweet and endearing, it's lighter than Evie's usual books but no less amazing. It's the perfect book to read on a cold winter day... it'll sure warm you up. ;)
Also- can I just mention the cover? It's perfect! The sexual chemistry- INSANE. The romance- oh so sweet. The choking scene? It took my breath away (hehe), I wasn't expecting it at all and it had me giggling and kicking my feet.

This author has a way of writing that keeps you locked in until you reach the last page. And then you're hungover from it and have to reread it immediately! If you've never read a book by Evie Rose, I encourage you to do so immediately. You won't regret it. I promise. <3

Anyway: FMC is the assistant/ secretary (the is a different in real life but in the book who cares about labels) to a mega wealthy 40 year old billionaire (of course), who is a ruthless mafia boss too (WTF), who dumped the dead body of his recent assistant in the cold river (ok, alpha), FMC knows all of this and she loves him and she thinks he's too good for her. Don't wanna surprise you, but the MMC thinks she's too good for him too so the logical solution is.......... to STALK the fuck out of her.

A great read with just one problem…
I’m giving this a 4.5 rounded up to 5 stars. I loved this quick read. The premise was awesome, and I’m not gonna lie, pretty hot. As someone who likes boss romances and not necessarily mafia romances this one still really hit the spot.
My one issue? There’s really no dark spot and I hate when that happens!

This is a smutty quick goodness with a hero/boss obsessed with his assistant/ heroine.
And the chemistry?
And I actually really liked it.
And I would've given it more but the beginning was just completely not my cup of tea and the second hand embarrassment was just too much for me.
Plus, the heroine giggled.
But despite all that, i will deffo read the next book in the series, Tall, Dark, and Grumpy.
Did I mention the hero has 2 brothers and they are identical triplets???

Some of the wording sounds silly, and a billionaire boss who works in a full time office with a secretary is also a mafia on the side doesn't make any sense, there's also not an ounce of darkness that makes him a mafia.
Overall if you don't mind that you should be able to enjoy this.

This is not supposed to be funny, but I was laughing out loud at multiple points. It gets 3 ⭐️ though because it’s very quick—100 pages—and smutty. Somehow it still seems long and drawn out in some scenes. The MCs seem to have the same argument multiple times even though, as I said…it’s only 100 pages. Come on. Definitely quite a few errors in here.
In general, this is enjoyable as a quick, before bed read. Partly because it’s one of those “almost bad to the point that it’s enjoyable in its badness” type of books. You know what I mean? The spice wasn’t terrible, but even that got repetitive once we really got into it…. Spoiler below.

A short and smutty age gap romance to fill in during reading slumps.
Ella (23) works for Rafe (40) as his assistant for a year and a half. One day she's reading at her desk and he's gone quiet in his office. Without thinking she puts her hands up her knickers and decides to touch herself. Until he walks in?!
The entire plot of the book (minus the epilogue) happens in one day. But it's acceptable as the book is only 94 pages long.
In the epilogue, she's pregnant and they have 4 kids together. (Hard to count them).
I didn't understand how he was in the mafia as they didn't dive into this at all other than him trying to show himself off. He's also far too possessive and obsessed too quickly for my liking.
Also Ella has a bad relationship with her mother? Didn't say anything about it then when she's being questioned for touching herself at work she goes:
"Please don't fire me, my mother already thinks I'm a waste of space."
His response:
"Want me to kill her?"
Like WTF?! 😃 Not even sure if she still lives with her mother as she lives in an apartment?

This is a super short smutty novella read. It starts out with a bang, with a heaping dose of second hand embarrassment when virginal Ella is caught at her desk with her hand in her panties while sneak reading some alien p0rn on company time. And he has her come to his office to sit on the couch and finish reading… while he watches her finish the chapter AND finish herself 😏 There’s basically insta-love and lots of hotness right after. I honestly love how lighthearted these mafia novellas are and I was easily entertained with this one !
Elle has been working as an assistant to a CEO of a company who is also a mafia boss for a year. A day her boss typically isn’t in office she takes advantage and decides to read her smutty alien romance. She ends up getting caught and instead of firing her he asks her to be his fake date to a charity event but as the night goes on things progress more and more 🙂↕️ definitely recommend if you’re looking for a quick read.

I love Evie Rose books and absolutely adored Vito's story but this book was not it.
Ella gave me too much of a pick me vibe and literally mentioned family's drama out of the blue to gain sympathy. Just too much I am not like other girls and I don't know how pretty I am kind of stuff. Like I am so quirky, reading SMUT in my work time and trying to make myself come on my desk.
Rafe had some awesome quotes and attitudes but him questioning if Ella would like him if she knew about his poverty past and his charity actions was like?!?!?! If she did care and was like 'oh I don't like you anymore because you weren't born wealthy and you help children in need every Wednesday' would she even be a good person?
I personally did not like the pet name and thought it was way too much you are so hot, I like you and not I love your personality. That coffee and milk analogy was just not it too, super awkward. The smut was good but I couldn't stand Ella so I kind of rushed it.

Perfectly written story with amazing characters, with a steamy happily ever after ending that’s a good page turner and easy to read.
A story about an assistant to a mafia boss who has legitimate businesses. Neither one realized that they fell in love with each other from the first day they met. The assistant does everything for her boss from keeping his schedule to making sure that no one who interrupts him that doesn't have an appointment.
The assistant lives in an apartment with a roommate, her mother is stern with her and she doesn’t feel like she’s loved. The assistant has strong feelings for her boss but she knows that she could never tell him, at least not at the time.
The boss has two brothers, they’re triplets. When they were younger their parents left them so they had to crawl out of poverty and make something of themselves, he and another brother became mafia bosses ruling the areas where the other mafia bosses in the city didn’t want. The boss owns some legitimate businesses. He has had feelings for his assistant since the first day they met but he knows that she’s too young for him.
The two fall for each other after the boss finds the assistant playing with herself, they talk about her coming with him to a charity event then lets her read the book in front of him where he has her touch herself. They are interrupted with a knock and come to find out it's the clothes she got for her to wear at the charity event.
He picks her up for the event when they get in they talk as they talk he pulls out a little box, it’s an engagement ring, they talk more and she takes the ring. The assistant thinks that all of this is fake even though it feels real to her but she doesn’t want to get her hopes up.
They get to the charity event where they walk around looking at the art on display that will be auctioned off later in the evening. They walk around and she spots a piece of artwork that she likes, they go over to it and talk about it. Some she excuses herself to the restroom. While she’s gone one of his brothers comes over and they talks for a moment before he walks away.
The assistant comes out of the restroom but winds up getting confused on where her boss would be but she finds a man who looks like her boss but she can tell that it’s not her boss. The two talk until her boss comes over helping her with a question she was asked. It’s announced about dinner and the brother leaves the two, they talk and he pulls her into an alcove whispering things in her ear until he takes her to their table.
They sit, eat and talk. Until he asks her about the book she was reading before, he asks her about what it was about so she describes it to him in a way that won’t make it sound like smut unless you know what she’s talking about.
The auction starts and soon the painting that she likes is up, before anyone can make a bid the brother bids on it and the boss tells her what to bid, it’s no time that the assistant has won the painting so the boss goes to get it for her. He comes back with it kissing her then takes her and the painting to his SUV.
The assistant won’t get into the SUV, she has figured out that she’s deeply in love with him and she can’t go back to the way it used to be so she decides to resign. The two talk and while they talk he takes off his jacket and puts it on her. The boss gets her in the SUV taking both to his place.
After they are in his place he closes the door putting down the painting and carries her bridal style to his bedroom where they take their clothes off and she informs him that she’s a virgin talking about it, he gives her oral sex, he makes her orgasm four times before he will release in her. The boss tells her he’s going to breed her.
Six years later they’re in a chalet with his two brothers, the triplets birthday is today and they came together with their wives as well as their children to celebrate. The boss’s son is in the kitchen when he makes pancakes and one of his brothers comes in to get coffee. They talk for a bit before the brother leaves but the son leaves also. The boss’s wife, the assistant, comes in and they talk. The boss makes the pancakes because his wife likes pancakes. The couple has four children and is on the way. They talk more about his birthday present from her.

The assistant does everything for her boss from keeping his schedule to making sure that no one who interrupts him that doesn't have an appointment.
The assistant lives in an apartment with a roommate, her mother is stern with her and she doesn’t feel like she’s loved. The assistant has strong feelings for her boss but she knows that she could never tell him, at least not at the time.
The boss has two brothers, they’re triplets. When they were younger their parents left them so they had to crawl out of poverty and make something of themselves, he and another brother became mafia bosses ruling the areas where the other mafia bosses in the city didn’t want. The boss owns some legitimate businesses. He has had feelings for his assistant since the first day they met but he knows that she’s too young for him.
The two fall for each other after the boss finds the assistant playing with herself, they talk about her coming with him to a charity event then lets her read the book in front of him where he has her touch herself. They are interrupted with a knock and come to find out it's the clothes she got for her to wear at the charity event.
He picks her up for the event when they get in they talk as they talk he pulls out a little box, it’s an engagement ring, they talk more and she takes the ring. The assistant thinks that all of this is fake even though it feels real to her but she doesn’t want to get her hopes up.
They get to the charity event where they walk around looking at the art on display that will be auctioned off later in the evening. They walk around and she spots a piece of artwork that she likes, they go over to it and talk about it. Some she excuses herself to the restroom. While she’s gone one of his brothers comes over and they talks for a moment before he walks away.
The assistant comes out of the restroom but winds up getting confused on where her boss would be but she finds a man who looks like her boss but she can tell that it’s not her boss. The two talk until her boss comes over helping her with a question she was asked. It’s announced about dinner and the brother leaves the two, they talk and he pulls her into an alcove whispering things in her ear until he takes her to their table.
They sit, eat and talk. Until he asks her about the book she was reading before, he asks her about what it was about so she describes it to him in a way that won’t make it sound like smut unless you know what she’s talking about.
The auction starts and soon the painting that she likes is up, before anyone can make a bid the brother bids on it and the boss tells her what to bid, it’s no time that the assistant has won the painting so the boss goes to get it for her. He comes back with it kissing her then takes her and the painting to his SUV.
The assistant won’t get into the SUV, she has figured out that she’s deeply in love with him and she can’t go back to the way it used to be so she decides to resign. The two talk and while they talk he takes off his jacket and puts it on her. The boss gets her in the SUV taking both to his place.
After they are in his place he closes the door putting down the painting and carries her bridal style to his bedroom where they take their clothes off and she informs him that she’s a virgin talking about it, he gives her oral sex, he makes her orgasm four times before he will release in her. The boss tells her he’s going to breed her.
Six years later they’re in a chalet with his two brothers, the triplets birthday is today and they came together with their wives as well as their children to celebrate. The boss’s son is in the kitchen when he makes pancakes and one of his brothers comes in to get coffee. They talk for a bit before the brother leaves but the son leaves also. The boss’s wife, the assistant, comes in and they talk. The boss makes the pancakes because his wife likes pancakes. The couple has four children and is on the way. They talk more about his birthday present from her.

Sweet & Steamy Mafia-lite Office Romance 🥰

At first I wasn’t too sure about the story as I don’t always love fake relationship stories and the whole getting caught “reading” 😳 but the story really grew on me.
I loved both MCs and how their relationship grew so much in the span of 1 evening. We got introduced to one of his brothers and learned a lot of back story about the MMC.
I was disappointed that we learned so much about the MMC (although I’d love more details) but we learned next to nothing about the FMC other than she likes sci-fi romances (I hear you girl!) and that her mom was awful to her. I wanted to know more, I was super invested in the story.
I loved the steam, dirty talking and the HEA ❤️
I wish there was an epilogue that wasn’t so far in the future. I would have liked to see how their work experience shifted and about the happy things that came after the last chapter.
The epilogue was sweet 🥰. I can’t wait to, I assume, read the next brother’s story! I highly recommend this for a quick romance read!

Now fearful of losing her job, she begs and pleads to keep her job, willing to do whatever it takes.

I await anxiously for all of Evie Rose’s London mafia books, and this was no different. But I do have to say, I wasn’t expecting alien breeding and little spoons. However, as always, Rose makes it work!
Ella is the sweet naughty secretary caught reading NSFW alien p0rn at her office. As she thought her boss was gone, she took advantage of the time alone and was covertly releasing some stress under the desk. At least she thought it was covertly. Rafe uses her embarrassment and need to keep her job as a way to finally date her. And as a step to pave the way for her to eventually become his wife! Little does he know that she is totally on board with that plan.
This is a standalone novella set in the London mafia world. However, there is little mention or interaction with the other mafia kingpins from previous books. Much of the angst is between Rafe and his brother Sev and there is no mafia violence in the story. As is always the case with Rose’s books, I laughed right out loud (p.s. – don’t read while waiting in line at the post office). Ella’s metaphor has *almost* made me start drinking my coffee black, except on certain occasions…. I can’t wait to see what Rose comes up with next!.

4.5 stars. Ella, the female lead, has been enamoured of her older boss from the moment she was hired but she’s sure he wouldn’t be interested in her - he’s so unimpressed with her work that he constantly makes her stay late to redo things and even calls her in on weekends!
Rafe, the male lead, has been enamoured of Ella since she started but he’s sure he’s too old for her. He tries to extract every moment of time with her that he can though! When he catches Ella making inappropriate choices at work, he spins it so she gives him a date. Now he just needs to convince her he really wants more and that she does too…
This novelette is dual POV, well written, and an erotic, contemporary, boss/assistant romance. I enjoyed Ella’s protectiveness of Rafe from others. I enjoyed Rafe’s consideration of Ella and appreciated his sincere remorse for actions that left her feeling inadequate, as well as his work to make it up to her. I enjoyed their erotic intimate scenes and the sweet and steamy resolution. I enjoyed integrated secondary characters and am hoping for a couple of other connected stories.

Older Hotter Grumpier By Evie Rose. This is Rafe and Ella's story. Ella is twenty-three and is the personal assistant for Rafe Blackwood. He is a mafia boss and his business cleans money for the family mafia. Ella has worked for Mr. Blackwood for eighteen months. She has lasted longer than any other assistant. Rafe has stalked Ella ever since hiring her. He watches her on camera, sits outside her apartment, has a tracker on her phone and even sometimes asks her to work on weekends. All of this to be near Ella. He is protective and possessive of Ella (his little sunshine dragon). Rafe thinks he is to old for her and that Ella is to innocent and young.
They are both hiding their true feelings. I loved reading this book and really enjoyed it. I hope to read about his brothers soon.

Obviously, things spiral deliciously from there. In Rafe’s POV, you can really see how much he adores her and claims he just wants any moment he can get with her.
There’s also a hilarious public conversation about hot beverages being used as an analogy for her describing her "alien breeding smut book" she's reading. It’s witty, erotic, and honestly one of my favorite moments.
The ending leaves you totally satisfied but if you plan on reading the other two brothers’ stories, though, I’d recommend skipping the epilogue until after you’ve read theirs! As I have a feeling might spoil a bit of their stories.
