Colette International #3

He Looks So Fine: Part One

Rate this book
Be not inhospitable to – handsome – demons, lest they be angels in disguise.

Two things are well-known about Alberto.

One: he's gorgeous. Like it or not, like him or not, there's no debating that.

Two: Alberto feels nothing and everyone constantly jokes about it. There isn't much else to say about him.

Floating about like a drifting cloud, Alberto likes minding his own business, but out of nowhere, an angry guy named Mathias charges into his life, demanding answers. Deep down, he knows Mathias isn't the solution to his problems, but it doesn't matter, as long as he feels something.

But here's the annoying thing with feelings: they can sneak up on you at the least opportune time...

Mathias is new in town and enrolled at Colette International due to unfortunate circumstances. His devotion to his family places him face to face with a puzzling equation, one he never thought he'd have to solve before.

Now he's forced into the path of a schoolmate he particularly dislikes, and not without reasons. The only problem is, he can't seem to take his eyes, nor his hands, off him.

He was promised a peaceful senior year after everything he went through. But Mathias already knows life is never that easy.

And now he's in the thralls of an unfeeling demon.

——————————————————————

He Looks So Fine is a seven-part story about two young men's rediscovery of empowerment, communication and trust, about the lasting damages of trauma and the healing virtues of friendship. Part One is 360 pages long and contains arcs 1 to 3 pertaining to Alberto and Mathias's journey. The upcoming Part Two is longer; it contains arcs 4 to 7 and concludes their story.

As it features several characters from the previous books, it's usually recommended to read the series from the start. However, the tone of this story is darker and more mature and differs from the rest of the series. As a result, this book can also be enjoyed as a standalone.

Content Warning: Due to the presence of difficult themes, sexual content and other potentially upsetting scenes, this work isn't intended for readers below the age of eighteen. (A full content warning list can be found at the beginning of the book.)

He Looks So Fine is not a young adult book, and it isn't a happy story. It's a psychological exploration dealing with heavy subjects such as depression and grief at a slow pace. Readers should heed the content warnings before reading.

The books in this series are so long and yet it feels like it takes me 20 minutes to read them!!!😂 Alberto is one of the most intriguing characters I’ve ever encountered and the more I learned about him in book 2, the more excited I was for him to have his own book and this didn’t let me down at all.😌 He’s wanted by all because of his beauty but wants nobody. He’s aloof and exhausted with people, with life. It’s all so boring. He gets in trouble at school for being quite the troublemaker…(he won’t stop falling asleep during class). Until he meets Mathias who burns with so much passion, such the opposite of Alberto. He feels so much. What ensues is the shenanigans I’ve come to love in Zelda’s books but there’s also always so much heart, humor and depth to be found too. Some of my favorite moments: Alberto wearing the angel wings.🥹 Jealous and possessive Mathias.😩 Their banter!!!!🥰 THEM!!!!😚 The writing as always is so engaging and fun, suiting the stories so well.💖 I highly recommend reading this series in order or starting with book 2 before this one. I’m so excited for the rest of this series.🤩 I could read a million pages about Alberto and Mathias, truly.❤️

Enemies to a little more done satisfyingly right.
Slow paced but I never ever wanted to have to put it down and thought about it constantly between reads.
All of the interactions between Alberto and Mathias (from the hatred, to indifference, to fascination, to physical wanting, to mental needing) A++ 🥰
This was a slump-wrecker
But that cliffhanger 😭 painful. I need Part Two, nowww.

Would I recommend? Yesss, but only to some people. I don’t think it’s for everyone. Some will dislike the main characters until “you get to know them better” but probably won’t give it a chance to get to that point.

Alberto is apathetic and complex. You will probably dislike him but still be rooting for him and then you WILL feel for him.
Mathias is angry and complex. You will feel for him too.
Side characters are mostly pretty terrible people with a few exceptions.

Check CWs listed in the book.

I have received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Back when I first read You're The One For Me, I took a liking to Alberto despite (or perhaps because of) his oddness and eccentricities. There was something about him that endeared me and I so badly wanted to know more about him and why he was the way he was. So when I found out that Zelda French's next book would focus on him, needless to say I was ecstatic. And while I was the tiniest bit disappointed at first that it wasn't going to be about him and Xavier, this book quickly converted me to the magic of Alberto and Mathias together.

I'm a huge fan of the previous two books in this series, and while this book features a lot more grit and bite than the first two entries, it still features the same top quality writing and characters and story that I've come to expect from Zelda French. It also features a dual POVs for the first time, and while I'm not always the biggest fan of them, I liked the way it worked for this book. Usually I think the double perspective thing in a book can hinder the experience for me by revealing too much of the character intentions, but He Looks So Fine manages to keep enough mystery to keep me reading and wanting to learn more.

Indeed, Alberto and Mathias are two mysterious and troubled boys that I so desperately want to know more about, and Zelda French does an excellent job of giving us a little information about them while not showing us the whole picture. Every time we learn something about them, we still get the feeling that there's something still buried deeper in them that's still lurking and waiting to come out. It keeps me eager to read more so I can understand the wonderful enigma that is these two boys. Their actions are messy and imperfect but there's a very tender core underneath it all. I was left wondering why they would act like this and rooting for them to get better and in awe of their chemistry all at once.

The side characters manage to be as great as ever. Not even because I like all of them necessarily, but because they manage to be realistic and well written. Stasia in particular feels particularly real in a very chilling way; a lot of the scenes with her had my skin crawling because of how twisted she is and how she treats Alberto. Kayvin returns and is more of an asshole than ever. Xavier is there too and still airheaded and charming. And of course the cameos from Zak and Eric are great and help add some levity to the book.

All in all, if you're interested in books about troubled boys who are messy and make mistakes, books about slowburn enemies to fuckbuddies to eventual lovers maybe?, are a fan of the Colette International series, or just enjoy a good book, you can't go wrong with picking this book up. He Looks So Fine manages to be entertaining and touching, with deep and complex characters trying to find some sense with one another that I enjoyed so much I had trouble putting it down when I was reading, and the second part can't come soon enough. I absolutely loved it.

I love the previous two books I Want to Kiss You in Public and especially You're The One For Me. They were uplifting and funny rom-coms, your typical comfort-reads. So I was really excited about this book and couldn't wait to read it.

But this book is nothing like the other two, it's dark, sad, unsettling and depressing. It's a discomfort-read. It was more like reading another book from the Foxhole Court series than from the Colette series. It's not what I was expecting and most important it was not what I wanted to read.

I really love Alberto and Mathias, but I really hated what happend in this book. And it's way to long. Sometimes it's just dragging on and on. That's something that's tolerable in funny rom-coms like the previous two books, but it's annoying in a depressing drama like this one. Honestly, I don't think it was the best idea to stretch this story over two books.

Don't get me wrong. This book isn't a bad book. If you like fuck-ups in fucked-up scenarios, such like the Foxhole Court series, you'll probably love this book. But if you were looking for some fluffy rom-com, you'll probably end up hating it, just like I do.

Not giving any stars. It's not a bad book it's just not what I was expecting.

DNF @75% because this book is putting me in a bad mood and the more I read of it the worse it gets.

This book scratched my brain just right.

Here’s a non-comprehensive spoiler-free list of reasons why I loved it in no particular order:

- This book is impossible to put down. It kept me up until late more than once. But at the same time I never wanted it to end? I tried taking a break before the last few chapters, but I couldn’t resist more than a couple of hours. I finished reading the ARC over a week ago and I’m still thinking about it on a daily basis. This book goes straight in this year’s top 5 books list.
- It’s slow paced but never (n e v e r) boring.
- The angst. Good lord, the ANGST. (The books mentions some emotional and potentially triggering stuff, but the author provides a full list of trigger warnings, AMEN)
- And yet the book doesn’t lack funny moments. The inner dialogues of the characters are, at times, hilarious.
- Laughter, angst, happiness, worry, this book is a rollercoaster, I went through the ENTIRE range of emotions reading it.
- As someone who loves character-driven stories, my favourite part of this book are Mathias and Alberto. They are hella fascinating, deliciously complicated and interesting. I could ramble on and on about them for hours, but I’m trying to post a spoiler-free review so this is all you get from me. Just be assured that the author really does an amazing job with them and their character development, revealing their secrets slowly while never making them become uncomplicated (in a good way).
- I wasn’t the biggest fan of Alberto in the previous book, but boyyy this story made me change my mind.
- It’s ENEMIES-TO-FUCKBUDDIES-TO-MAYBEMORE. Do I need to say more?
- The chemistry between Alberto and Mathias is OFF THE CHARTS.
- The spicy stuff is *chefs kiss*
- The author describes it perfectly as “a book about two young men's rediscovery of empowerment, communication and trust, about the lasting damages of trauma and the healing virtues of friendship”.
- There’s a generous sprinkle of characters (villains?) that genuinely made my blood boil while also being interesting AF.
- The alternating POV gives an in-depth view of the characters’ thoughts and of the events taking place.
- The lovely familiar setting with the characters introduced in the previous books, Eric, Zak and all the gang is definitely a plus.
- I wish I could think of the right words to describe how much I enjoyed this book. I’ll probably add to this review while I reread the book, but 11/10 would recommend reading He Looks So Fine.

This is — I think — the story of an abused gay boy who falls into a relationship with a straight guy who abuses him more. We sort of understand that the character has been physically, sexually, and emotionally abused in the past, but we are also silent witness to all three forms of abuse happening in the present as we turn the pages.

There is no story, no plot, and few incidents. It’s repetitive and ultimately rather dull. The characters never just speak to one another. Everything is oblique, obscured. One thing that makes good fiction is to have people who say what they are feeling or who act on their desires. This is the difference between fiction and real life. Authors who fail to understand that key difference produce novels like this one.

Don’t bother with this. It’s not even sexy although it’s like 80% sex scenes.

He Looks So Fine

I really like this author and series in general. So I wasn't surprised that I loved this story too. I can't wait for part two. I love how characters from previous books in the series always make their way in one way or another, but still feeling so natural. I'm really happy to have been able to learn more about the mysterious Alberto and to learn that there's more there than originally thought based off of how he was in You're The One For Me.

I have received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review . The book is a different directions than I was expecting from reading the other books , but honestly I really liked it . The characters grew with the book , taking on a more adult form. that I felt matched the character Alberto so well ,pretty people rarely “just hold hands” . The more mature writing style I feel really works for the writer also ,And would welcome it if it’s the direction she went with future books . To sum it up it’s the third book in the series, but it’s a different style than the books before it so dont hold that against it and stop you from loving this book too . I really like it and hope others do too

I received an ARC in return for an honest review of this book.

I'll start with this, I am NOT good at being critical, even in a constructive way, I'm just not and I could try but I just can't, so I'm going to say what I loved about this book and if I manage to slip anything else in then yay!

It was really lovely to finally get a glimpse into Alberto's mind. The way he was with everyone in the previous book and more importantly, with Zak, I know a lot of people disliked him intensely for this and I get it, but I had a feeling there was so much more to him and he wasn't exactly the bad guy we all painted him as. Boy was that true!

I ADORED learning more about Alberto, what makes him tick, more about why he and Zak would never work. COULD never work. And I was right, what Alberto wants/needs from a partner right now, is something Zak just couldn't provide. There's a tiny glimpse of it in the previous book and the way he interacts/reacts to Zak one time and it was great to get to understand that with context now.

As for the way he reacts to everything else, learning about all the other things happening in his life, wow just wow. Some things make soooooooo much sense now.

The writer, Zelda has also provided me with something horribly wonderful. The absolute hatred and detest I hold for one certain character, surprisingly NOT Kayvin (who knew I could hate anyone more than him?!) was visceral. All encompassing, boiling hot rage. I haven't been so invested in a book to where I feel this burning hate in a while. To make me hate this character so much was a real accomplishment and as much as I hate them, it helped me become even more invested in the book.

As for my beloved Mathias. What can I say? I knew I would love him since long before the book was out and I can safely say I love him now more than ever. The way things work out towards the end of this part of their story, the realisations he has, the way he feels just made me want to scream from the rooftops. I love him with my whole heart, he is wonderful and they are both a bit of a dick and it just makes me love them more.

Also the things he has gone through and is trying to cope with, just really made me feel so much for Mathias. This isn't just an 'I love Alberto' fest but it's very much a 'Mathias is my beloved' one also. He's been through some stuff, he's dealing with some things and none of it is really easy, he's learning new things about himself and Alberto, while Alberto is doing the same and it was really good to go through that journey with them both.

It was lovely to see old characters return too, I liked their parts in this and I am really looking forward to more of Alberto and Mathias's story and their 'friends'. I'm sure Alberto will deny this part so it's in brackets for a reason.

Also the shock I felt at one moment, the way I squealed because finally, FINALLY what I had hoped for reading Zak and Eric's book happened. Not the way I wanted it to, but that was a nice surprise and this story definitely went the way it was supposed to. It was much better this way honestly. Sorry my other beloved, but you need to back away now. lol

The angst and pain in this book, it's definitely darker than the previous two, but with very good reason and boy does it hurt good! I mean it's angst so OW but it's so so worth it. The slow build and the angst and the discovery contained in this book, ahhhhhhhhh so so good! Loved every minute of it. Pretty sure I'm just repeating myself at this point, so if I did then oops! but that also just shows how much I enjoyed this book.

I barely noticed any grammar/spelling/whatever errors, I think there were like less than 10 sentences I bookmarked to talk to the author about but someone got there first I think, and the overall vibe I got from this book was just, yep can't put this down, just can't. Unfortunately I had to cause we were in the middle of a house move but when I had time to read, I devoured it. Mathias and Alberto are just a joy to me, and I love those dumb a*seholes so so much. I can't wait for part 2.

I have received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

4.5 stars⭐ (rounded up to 5 'cause some people messed up with the rating without even reading the book yet)

I'm not kidding when I say that this is for me one of the most anticipated books of the year and I haven't been disappointed, this book got me out of a reading slump but at the same time I'm now in a reading hungover because I can't stop thinking about these characters and I don't want to read anything else. I wanted to read it during the Christmas holidays but after reading only the first chapter out of curiosity I finished it in less than 24 hours lol I'm obsessed with Alberto and Mathias.

It's no surprise that I loved this book so much as I loved the previous two books in this series, loved the teen angst and chaotic energy of the characters (it kind of reminded me of Skam tv series ? ) but while He Looks So Fine is similar in style, settings and mood it is also extremely more mature and darker (?), I suggest everyone to read the trigger warnings that the author has included at the beginning and at the end of the book, it's also much more explicit in terms of sex content, there's a lot of sex in this book but not all of it is detailed but there's definitely more if you compare to the previous two books.

I empathized a lot with Alberto and not only because he is Italian and from Naples like myself, it broke my heart to see how nobody takes him seriously and everyone is prejudiced against him based on his looks alone when he is suffering so much, something that Mathias himself also does. Their relationship starts off toxic and stays toxic-ish for the rest of the book even though we can clearly see the moment when they both start to feel something more for each other and how they care for each other.
I was rooting for them all the time and sometimes I wanted to slap them so bad my hands itched.
Mathias has a lot of character development to do, I'm rooting for him but boy has a lot to prove.
But despite everything, I loved the two of them together. They both deserve a hug and someone to tell them everything will be fine.

The author has asked for discretion regarding a structural (?) aspect of the book and therefore I respect their request, but it has somewhat impacted my overall enjoyment of the book and that's explain the 4.5 stars, although I understand why this choice was made. .

Overall, this was amazing and I'm going to read everything Zelda French will write in the future. One last thing, the Italian in this book is perfect, also English isn't my first language so I apologize if this review is messy.

Thanks again for including me in the arc team!

I received the eARC directly from Zelda French, these opinions are my own. In You’re The One For Me Alberto was kind of this aloof character so I was excited that he was going to be a main protagonist is He Looks So Fine. Alberto is starting his modeling career again and things have gone pretty much back to normal for him that is until he finds himself against a wall with a boy threatening him to have his mother stay away from the boys dad. Alberto has no clue what he’s talking about but he’s so intrigued by the boy that he decides to find out. Mathias gets Alberto to help spy on his dad, trying to prove to Alberto that he is not lying. But can he handle spending all that time with a jerk like Alberto? Can Alberto get a reaction out of this boy who seems to hate him? And what happens if they do collide? I loved the explosive chemistry between Alberto and Mathias! Like Zelda’s other works this book is charming and funny! I love that we get glimpses of who Alberto is and I can’t wait to find out more! I think Mathias might be my second favorite character in the Colette International series! Also enjoy that Zak and Eric, and Michael and Louis (briefly) are in this one as well! There’s some darker elements in this book but Zelda handles them respectfully! I like that the books is slow to reveal secrets, it kept me on the edge of my seat while reading! Highly recommend reading this and I can’t wait to see what comes next!

Nor so cute anymore

Having read the previous books by Zelda, which are about people mentioned in this book. I was very excited to read this one. Where the other books were cute and lovely, even if sometimes frustrating in a good way, this one is much deeper and darker. Alberto and Mathias connection builds increasingly but is mostly shallow when they hide, try to hide and deflect from the dark history of their lives. I really liked this book, even though it was so different, especially trying to get to know and understand the enigma that is Alberto. It has some darkness and brutality in it even if only mentioned passingly, so if you’re just looking for sweet and happy ever after, this might not be your choice. At least read Zelda’s previous books first.

Wow. This is definitely a lot darker than the previous two books in the Colette International series but I LOVED IT!

It’s moved from young adult, and the adorable but innocent relationship of Eric and Zak, to more new adult and the relationship between Alberto and Mathias dominated by uncontrollable lust, with a little more beneath the surface too.

I loved seeing a different side to Alberto too - sure his exterior is still tough, but this definitely teases a softer side too, a side that loves and wants to be loved. And I can’t wait to find out what gave him his hard exterior and what happens next with Mathias in the next book. Will they accept that they’re both worthy of loving each other? Or be too afraid to take the next step?

“You think I’m afraid of pain?”

“You should be. Do you even know what pain is?”

“What?” He rolled his eyes. “Getting punched in the face?”

“Losing someone you love. That is pain”

I REALLY loved this book from the storyline to the charters it was amazing. I liked the fact we got to know more about Alberto since he was a mystoryis kind of charter in book 2. Also, the way that Mathias and Alberto ended up meeting is not the regular way most people would meet someone. The book is on the more adult since it talks a lot about sex after the first 5ish chapter. I'm extremely excited for part 2 to come out and until then I'm going to go read the first book.<3

Not sure what to think of the pair. They’re both damaged and seem to not know what happinesses is at all. Book is a bit slow, but I’m hoping all is not lost. 3.25 for museums.

I felt overall it was a really great book.

The author had all of her specifics and great characteristics in here too, such as a slow burn story, very in-depth on the characters psyche and motivation, which is not something we are really used to in those romcom books, so I feel like it’s really a great book.

It’s really a step up from the second one which I think got a bit too slow to actually start the “romance” between the two main characters, although I personally think the author had more clever ways of developing the story of the previous book.

In this one, the author doesn’t take as much time to develop the story, and she dives right in the relationship from the begging, although it does lose a lot of the great characteristics of the story, as I feel like the author got really lost in the motivation of the characters and sometimes their motivation actually starts to become really repetitive such as “oh I really wanted to do X, but oh well 🤷🏻‍♂️ not this time”, and by the 5th time a character say the same thing it starts to get a bit boring, at some point I even started thinking that this book is a metaphor for Britney Spear’s Oops I did it again, because the characters start and finish the book the same, obviously we, as readers, we know they aren’t the same inside but their actions are equal all throughout the story.

And I really disliked what the author did to Eric/Zak romance as they have absolutely no personality in here and they are written almost mocking them, and again, this is a POV so maybe is the way the characters think but even other minor characters have almost like a disdain tone when referring to the previous couple.

Also, something that really bothered me was that the book start as alternated POVs for Alberto/Mathias, and then Alberto’s POVs vanishes in the middle of the book and we get one at the end, which I think it really lowered the book as we tend to have more empathy for Mathias and not really liking Alberto, which is a switch because in the beginning it’s the opposite, and quite frankly, it was far more interesting as we already knew who Alberto was from the previous book and we had already a conception of the character. And I was hoping we could dive more into the depths of Alberto because I felt like his story was meant to be dark and almost tragic but it took a turn that made me feel almost as the author was afraid to go that deep, and then decided to go on a more familiar route emphasizing Mathias’ back story.

That being said, I feel like this book was not made to be split, because you can really feel it dragging along at the end.

But overall, I feel like it had a more solid characters and less cliché characters, which gives much more potential than the second book, but the execution fell way too flat.

But it’s very good still. If you got to the end of this gigantic review please give it a try, I’m tearing it to pieces in an “I liked and wanted to be better” way hehe!

I have received an Advanced Reader Copy (or ARC) of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Overall, it was a great book and an easy read and I really enjoyed it!
I loved discovering another side of Alberto; you learn things about him bit by bit and, at the end of this First Part, you still don’t know everything about him, which keeps an air of mystery around him that makes you want to read the next part as soon as it’s out! You also get to meet Mathias, who at first didn’t want anything to do with Alberto but can’t seem to stay away from him at the end, and I can’t wait to discover how these characters will progress in Part Two!
Also, Zak and Eric appear at numerous occasions and Louis and Michael are even mentioned, which allows you to situate yourself in the Colette Universe but also is another incentive to read the book if you missed these characters!
Some heavy themes are discussed, but nothing too descriptive and I didn’t feel like it darkened the overall atmosphere of the book. For me, if you liked the energy of the first two books you will love this one and if you haven’t read them yet, I highly recommend this series if you like fluffy romance with some angst. The only downside was the ending which I think was too abrupt, but I feel like the second part will make it worthwhile.

I’ve read two of this author’s other books: I Want To Kiss You In Public, and You’re The One For Me. They were superb, dove deep into the psychology of these young people coming of age, and had a pace and a build-up that led to satisfying resolutions for this genre. I enjoyed them. And then there was this one. The author gives a “fair warning” in her “before you read” section: “The following story is unapologetically slow paced, angsty, and aimed at readers who enjoy long and torturous narratives.” To “torturous,” the author should have added: ponderous, lacking in any direct communication whatsoever between the main characters, glacial in revealing necessary details of past and present trauma, and obnoxious. I have two suggestions: (1) it is a “walk-in closet,” not a “walking closet,” and (2) the author’s unapologetic demeanor should get a damn sight more apologetic. This book needs a good and thorough editor, and a revamping of how the story is told. After reading the first two books in this series, I had grown to love the narrative and the characters (with all their flaws). After reading this slog of a tome, I just wanted to find the nearest paper shredder.

3,5

When I got to read the first pages of the book, I didn't think I was actually gonna fall in love with these characters. Let's face it, Alberto is not precisely someone you'd like to have around other than because of his beauty. However, Zelda has built a very solid character, and the way there's so much more to know about him that will (hopefully) come with the sequel to this book... I need to have it now! The story doesn't get boring, it just keeps getting better.
Also, she included Eric again and that's the cherry on top for this one!

I loved this book. I love the Colette International series. And I love these characters. 🖤

I knew there had to be more to Alberto than the soulless boy we saw in the last two books. I’m dying to get the rest of his story in Part 2.
Mathias and Alberto are messy and dysfunctional and probably don’t deserve a happy ending. But I’m still rooting for them. ❤️‍🩹

Very much waiting on Part Two

Alberto and Mathias are very broken souls, too broken for 17 year olds. We need Part Two to see if they have a future. It seems really doubtful at this point. Yet we hope...

"My body's a temple. My body's a prison from witch there is no escape."

"If he breaks me, splits me in half, or tears me apart, so be it. Hit me like a high-speed train. Then give me a hug."

Good book but to be honest I was much more interested in the little glimpses of Zak and Eric's life than in anything else happening

4.0. Very different than the first 2 books, definitely deeper and darker and also very much a part 1, this is basically half a book, not the first in a series. So hard to rate at the mid-point.

I was intrigued from the start, but there were more questions than answers. Then after the first kiss it just kept getting better and better.
Mathias is an absolute favourite. I love his snarky inner dialogue, his hot-headedness, his possessive and protective streak. But he's not without his demons, and then he meets Alberto. Alberto who until now seemed only a sleepy guy. In this book we get to see things from his perspective and understand a little why he behaves the way he does. But despite all the clues scattered inside the book, by the end we still don't know exactly what happened to him in the past that is still affecting him so much.
What is clear is that the relationship that grows between Mathias and Alberto is not fluffy and is not cute (except for when it is adorable). They are obsessed with each other on an astronomical level but you can see both of them struggle with showing intimacy to the other in some ways. Like all the time Mathias stops himself from touching Alberto in an affectionate way, or how he worries about him being cold, or when he wants to set his bathroom on fire to cuddle with him. But they still manage to have some pretty serious conversations.
I love all of this and how much they don’t want to admit they are helplessly in love with each other. Too adorable. And the pet names!! (for now only Mathias-sided) The cuddles. I can’t.

Also, they are on fire. Love the kink. Very much appreciated.

The side characters are also very present and we get to see many familiar faces ;)
Love the Christmas Eve chapter and Alberto and Elisa’s relationship. And Mathias' friendship with Eric.

I highlighted so many passages while reading. Cute, funny, sad, beautiful. There's everything.
But some pretty big questions are left unanswered: What really happened to Alberto? Will Mathias publicly admit their relationship? + The mystery of the parents is still unsolved. What is up with them?
Looking forward to seeing more of this everything in part 2!

P.S. I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
