A conflict is escalating between the Scarlatti family and the McMillans. What initially began as a plan to dispose of murder victims has evolved into a nationwide smuggling operation. Leveraging their extensive connections, the McMillans aim to seize control of an unstoppable network.
As their alliance grows, Grant Morrison becomes involved in a mission to infiltrate and dismantle the network from within. Having lost everyone he ever loved, Grant finds himself ensnared in a world dominated by death, with the only escape route leading through the Morticians Grave.
My husband is in the funeral business, so I’m always interested in books that feature morticians. It’s easy to tell this was written by someone who knows funeral work. I honestly could not put this book down. It’s a fast paced read whose characters all present with merits and flaws. I found myself drawn in by their stories and not always sure whose side to be on, which made the book that much more interesting. This is a great rainy afternoon or sunny beach day read!
This book is amazing it reads like you’re watching a movie and the characters are very diverse and colorful . There is so much more I could say but wouldn’t want to spoil any of it.
