The women in Brianne Montgomery’s family have a curse that compels them to marry before the age of thirty-one, and she wasn't going to be the first one to break it.

Her life seemed perfect. Her parents were happily married and she had a wonderful brother who looked out for her. The only thing she hated about her life was Travis Cross—her brother’s annoying best friend.

But Brianne’s life took a sudden turn with a tragic death in her family. In an instant, she lost everything she held close to her in her perfect life.

Travis made a lifetime promise to take care of Brianne for the rest of his life. He promised to be her safety guy to save her from the family curse. He also promised her brother he wouldn't touch her. And Travis is one person who knows how to keep his promises--no matter what the cost.

Soon, their once hateful relationship turned into an unbreakable bond of love and friendship.

However, their dependent and comfortable relationship would always be complicated because of the yearning inside Travis that craved Brianne like a drug. And Brianne struggled to stay immune to his charms. She had already lost so much, and Travis had become the most important thing she couldn’t afford to gamble with.

This romance follows Travis and Brianne's lives from the age of sixteen to adulthood and how they dealt with family, divorce, death, teen peer pressure, marriage and breakups… all of which make up their deep and unbreakable connection: A relationship so beautiful, they’re afraid to risk it for anything… not even for love itself.

Jerilee Kaye is one of the reasons why i have fallen so deeply into romance. She portray these guys like angels and every time I think that this would be another of those cliche stories, she "WOWED" me with a new element and twist.

This book makes me blush like a little girl, make my heart flutter and makes me cry. Its so wonderful and though Travis and Brianne have experience A LOT of ups and downs they still made it through and they are happily married together. This is such a beautiful, beautiful love story of how two broken people that come together as puzzles. They are so fitting together and it just so beautiful.

There is a lot of crying in this book but that does change my opinion of it, they both been through a lot and they only had each other to rely on. The heartbreak that they went through was just so painful. Jerilee Kaye manage to make my heart clench every time she write a heart breaking scene.

There was lots of sweet and cute moments. One of my fav was when he stood up for her when she was being look down upon by her wedding planner. I remember clearly too that because her ring with facing the inward of her palm the wedding planner mistook her of someone of less importance. CLEARLY TRAVIS DISAPPROVES!!! He turn the ring around and kiss her!!!!

Jerilee Kaye is an AWESOME writer if you are interested in romance. Though she does not have many book, I feel that one book is enough to brighten my day. "Intertwined" is definitely a book worth your time, it just make you feel that there in that knight in shining armor ,or "Knight In Shining Suit" in this case, waiting for you and sweep you off your feet.

The one thing that I benefited from my Wattpad reading days is Jerilee kaye. I absolutely adore her books.
Especially her first one Knight in shining Suit. It’s my comfort book. I was waiting to read this book so long.
Like the blurb says this book is about a relationship so beautiful, it’s one of a kind.
Brianne met Travis when she was 10 years old. He was her brother’s best friend. And Brianne absolutely hated him. For Travis it was quite opposite, in his pain filled childhood Brianne and her brother Tom was the only love and hope for him. But tragedy strikes when they are 16 and 17 years old respectively in the form of Tom’s sudden demise. Now their fates and life are intertwined by the promise they made to Tom. That’s the beginning of their unique and heartwarming bond.
As the story starts when they are young it made feel like part of their journey. My heart broke for them, cheered for them, I laughed with them and so on.
I loved both of them, like Brianne herself says she is the Angel counterpart of Travis. The obstacles they had in their life was solid and I was constantly left to guess what happens next.
Safety element is complicated as you will understand when you start reading this. But there was not an ounce of doubt about the love they had for each other. Or about their priorities.
Epilogue was so so good.
Absolutely recommended and this is included in kindle unlimited for the time being.

I rarely give reviews. RARELY.

But since this is one of my all time favorite books, and I read it for free, the least I could do is give an honest review since it will be published real soon! Yey!.

I've read this book several times in wattpad before, and each time I do, it never fails to give me tears. Travis and Brianne has a very special place in my heart.

The brother's bestfriend falls in love with the sister, yah, the story may sound cliche to you, you've probably heard about it before even know the ending but the greatest part of a road trip isn't arriving at the destination, its the crazy stuff that happens along the way.

This is one of the books, you wont regret buying and reading. It might deprive you from your beauty nap, makes you scream, pull your hair out, but it will all the worth it, just like their love story.

I've been a fan of the author, Jerilee kaye ever since KISA/KISS. and she never fails to impress me.

Definitely worth reading.

Brianne Montgomery's life seemed so perfect. Her parents were happily married, and she has a wonderful brother who looks out for her. But one thing she can't stand the most is Travis Cross, her brother's very annoying best friend and her worst enemy.

Her life suddenly took a complete three-sixty when a sudden tragedy made her lose everything she holds dear. But despite everything that has happened, Travis promised, swore that he will protect Brianne as long as he lives. Soon, their relationship turned from hate and into an unbreakable connection of brotherly love, and friendship.

This novel starts when the characters were fifteen years old and up until their adulthood and all of life's complications. This story is about dealing with death, friendship, family, teen peer pressure and hope of finding peace by risk taking.

This isn't a usual cliche love story. Such lessons from this novel that stuck to me was that it's really important not to make such rash decision in a midst of emotions & that friendship is really an important root of love.

A beautiful story that made me cry in sadness and in happiness, and made me laugh despite all its twists. I first read this story when it was published in Wattpad and I still can't forget the things I felt when I first read this. This is a page turner kind of story, and it got me hooked just by reading the first few chapters.

I don't really know what to think. It is clear the author has talent and the writing is very good. However, I felt the story was way too long. They were 16, 17 for so long, I started skimming. The drama was sometimes over the top.

As others have pointed out: there was a lot of talk about being a virgin or a slut, the boyfriends in high school and college were all duds that were cheating on her because she would not 'put out'. I thought that was really unrealistic. I also really disliked the drama after they were married, the reason she was mad at Travis.

I read the first part, skimmed the middle part and read the end. I loved the ending.

The author is talented and I would certainly look into her work again. A good editor can do wonders.

So this book was one helluva ride.

I finished this book at 1.30 am and I was crying my heart out.

The beginning of the book was a slow one, I really had to get used at the writing of the author, but once the accident occured, I was too far a gonner.
The book had me from the first chapter and didn't let go of me.

I admit the drama was sometimes a bit of an overkill, but it made me understand with the characters more.

I would recommend this book, and hope many more will experience this ride just like me.

TLDR; slow burner, loved every step of the way.

Im still currently reading this story, but as soon as i got passed chapter 10 i knew i was in love with this book. The book takes one tragedy thats effects this one family and makes it into something good. I don't really want to say good cause the tragedy is bad, but the two main character learn to live through it and be there for each other. This book is probably one of the best books I've read and I'm not even finished it yet.

An enjoyable and heartwarming read

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. I had initially read a draft of Intertwined when it was available on Wattpad, and it was a pleasure to have the opportunity to once again become acquainted with the story of Travis and Brianne. Theirs is one of those stories that just makes you feel warm and cuddly.

As a child, Brianne made a promise to herself that she would avoid the curse which seemed to plague the women of her family and would ensure she was married by the time she was thirty. And she intends to keep that promise.
Travis Cross was the best friend of her brother Tom, and he and Brianne could never seem to get along. However when they lose Tom through tragedy during their teens, Travis makes a promise to Brianne to remain intertwined in her life, ensuring that she will never be alone in her grief. As time goes on and they grow into adulthood, Travis and Brianne's bond only strengthens, and she learns to rely on him for his comfort and company. And as her deadline approaches, they are reminded of another promise that Travis made to her when they were young

For me, the factor that really drew me into this story was the character of Travis. He is a somewhat secretive man with an unhappy history and an inner layer of bitterness who nonetheless is steadfast and loyal to those he cares about. From the moment Tom is gone, he does not hesitate to step up for Brianne whenever she needs him, and he really shows himself to be the kind of man that most women can only dream of.
At times I found it hard not to be frustrated with the character of Brianne. Her determined desire to be married not for love but to stave off family superstition, as well as the imbalance of give and take throughout her relationship with Travis had me willing her constantly to just open her eyes. In comparison Travis always seemed mature beyond his years right from the start, and more than anything, I found it was his happiness I was rooting for.

All in all I thoroughly enjoyed this story from Jerilee Kaye and will keep my eyes open for her future books.

This was a bit of an odd read. Classic story but written in such a way that gives one the impression English is not the author's first language. Dialogue (inner dialogue too) was very stilted and formal, i.e. no obvious contractions, even when the characters were teenagers..."I will not allow you to be alone."

I was surprised, after skimming thru many reviews, that no one mentioned this strange & glaring tendency.

That said, the story was basic boilerplate Harlequin romance--and there's nothing wrong with that! Even with the stilted writing and rather unoriginal premise, I stuck with it til the end. I'm a sucker for the classic "I will protect you" romance, especially when the hero is a strong alpha, but also kind and respectful.

So yes, I did enjoy it and would have definitely considered 4 stars had the writing not been so odd.

Torture

You know all this book has pages and pages of y Brianne needs to marry b4 her 31st b'day and y travis cannot fall in love with his best friends sister.😡And thereasons givenarw soooooo lame. Seriously there is no story apart from this. There are no sex scenes at all where u feel at least ok I had some reason to entertain myself. I just stopped reading the book when I finished around 30% of the book. I just skipped chapters and read random pages to get the gist and then jumped to epilogue which again was so dragged. And every second sentence was " And I felt tears in my eyes "I was like girl guess with ur crying we may fill dam after dam and remove world water crisis 🙄DO NOT READ HORRIBLE BOOOOO....

Pfff!!!

This is one of the best romance books I have ever read. It's quite sloppy and dramatic at the end but from the first to the middle part is probably one of the best depictions of relationship shared through childhood trauma I've ever read. Travis and his confusing relationship with bree is really taken advantage of and I'm glad the author had fun playing around with this narrative. Bree is introduced as clueless, naive, innocent and sometimes, a brat so it's quite in character of her to not know what and how Travis feels for her. Travis is quite the emo and I'm happy that it's mostly told in Bree's POV. The ending is the only thing I'm not a big fan of and whenever I would re-read this novel, I would skip the ending. Why? It's unnecessary. There's no reason to have Tom(who's already dead btw) still make conflicts within their lives. I think it would've been better if this conflict was put in the middle instead then have them confess and acknowledge each other's feelings as the ending. Don't get me wrong it's still a really good story, the ending was just very lackluster and dramatic when it has no reason to be.

Okay I rarely give review but here I am, I read this book last year and i friggin loveeeeee this book. I think intertwined has an interesting plot than kaye's other books like K.I.S.S and All the Wrong Reasons.

At first i thought it might be a cliché story where the guy fall in love with his bf's sister. but this story is kinda unexpected. I obviously know that somehow they'll end up together but i didn't really think that the author would roller coaster my heart while reading this book.

Travis and Brianne have a really strange yet strong bond. And travis is just toooooo dreamy. He's handsome, he's rich, he's great but he's broken just like brianne, so they share the same pain :( . I love the way he keeps his promises to Brianne. He always be there for her. And over the book you'll get more curious with Travis. after finishing this book my first reaction was like: WHERE CAN I GET A GUY LIKE TRAVIS ?! :(

fyi, i always love how kaye makes a guy character look so dreamy and perfect (not an assh or player or bad guy)

There is a lot to talk about. The cringe, the melodrama, the over-the-top conclusions sprinkled all through the book. There were a few times I questioned the existence of an editor, which is unfortunate.
I read her book "KISS" and liked most of it, and i know the plot of All The Wrong Reasons by her from the Chapters app, and I started drawing comparisons between the points here and her other works.
It is a bit clichéd, but this part can grow on me for a bit.
The characters are clichéd. I did appreciate that they had very clear flaws, though.
There were a few issues that bugged me, such as the fixation on de-virginating, calling other characters sluts because of their choice of clothing or habits in bed. "Completing" the "other half" of and such.

It CAN be enjoyable. I saw myself coming back to this story and rushing to finish it because I WANTED TO. Though I did need to push through the start. If you love EVERY other piece of Kaye's writing you will enjoy this. Also if you are in time for mindless cliché.
