Fame has a deadly price.

Special Agent Amelia Storm, a seasoned FBI veteran, thought stepping away from the Organized Crime Unit and its mafia entanglements would lead to less complex and dangerous cases. She was wrong. Now in the Violent Crimes Division, Amelia is haunted by a chilling pattern that mirrors mob brutality.

Murder as a message.

How else can she explain why this serial killer murders everyone in the home but leaves the victim alive...and horrifically disfigured by acid?

Four victims in two years. All women with dark-brown hair. All social media influencers with a substantial following and a message of self-improvement aimed at women.

Now he’s escalating. And Amelia always seems to be one step behind.

With each woman silenced, Amelia’s resolve deepens. She’s determined to stop the killer before he silences another young woman with a promising career. Unless he silences her first.

From the wickedly dark minds of Mary Stone and Amy Wilson comes Storm’s Burn, book twelve of the Amelia Storm FBI Series. Influencers beware: your next live stream might just be your last.

In this fast paced mystery thriller Mary and Amy bring the attention to the world of misogynistic and entitled men, on line haters and cowards. The social media influencers are being punished for their views and people close to them killed. Though crimes are brutal, what scared me the most , was the killer’s ability to find everything about his victims, including their address, security system, schedule etc. How easy it was , for him , to get a large follow up and spread “his message”. It’s all so real in our world of technology and we forget about the dark side often. Thank you for the reminding us and for another well written story and characters. Scary. Lida

Storms Burn

Special Agent Amelia Storm and her team are looking for a man who uses Nitric Acid on the victim's of women who he has judged not to be what God decrees a woman to be. Every woman he maims or roommates he kills is another one of victims Special Agent Amelia Storm feels as her fault for not catching him sooner.

I really enjoyed reading the new Amelia Storm book in the series. I feel like I am learning more and more about her each book I read. I'm happy for her and sad for her, all the hills and valley's in her life as she grows into her life.

If you like Murder Mysteries you will love the Amelia Storm series and honestly, any of Author Mary Storms Series are great books.

slightly disappointed

A lot of repetition. Not enough of Amelia and Zane’s story line. Dropped the ball on the story of Zane’s tattoos and the man searching for him. Disappointing after waiting for the book to come out. Charli Cross’s next book taking too long to be released.

STORM'S BURN is the twelfth installment in the Amelia Storm Series by Mary Stone and Amy Wilson and it's another winning page turner that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Once you start reading, make sure you have plenty of time to get lost in this FBI Thriller.

Amelia Storm recently joined the Violent Crimes Unit in the Chicago FBI office.Their newest case involves internet influencers being attacked in their home with nitric acid and other occupants murdered.

As Amelia and her team start searching the Dark Web for clues another influencer is attacked. The further they dive into the Dark Web the more they realize how depraved humans can be. The team needs to work fast before more are attacked and others killed.

This story is so suspenseful you'll be on the edge of your seat all the way to the end and leaving you looking at the internet little differently. Even your security system can't save you.

I really enjoyed this book and the entire series which is well written. The interesting characters, some good, some bad. The collaboration between these two authors is superb. I recommend reading the entire riveting series.

I received a copy of this book from the author and this is my honest review. Now, for the next book.

Amelia has a new weird case handed to her and her partners, a person killing and maiming women from the webs.

The women being maimed by acid were the new influencers on the web. The women that encouraged other women to stand up for themselves and make their life better. The gruesome scenes the FBI had to clean up showed the perp was killing a house mate then attacking these women with acid. He was filming his attacks and posting to the internet. They had to catch him as he was escalating his attacks as his success was building.

One man is building a following with his beliefs that Men are the rulers, and Women are the servers. Women who do not follow this plan needs to be punished. He’s discovered several women who are posting on social media with ways to promote your self and get what you want out of life. This dialog sets him off and he starts down a path to make these nice looking women no longer desirable.

amelia and the team are called out on the case of women being mutilated by someone who doesn't seem to have a motive. they receive one call after another and can finally connect the dots
meanwhile we get a clue to the perps motivation. very sick person who interprets the bible to his own specification.
will the team reach the perp in time to save the next victim

Good story

Kept me interested to the very end. Another story about a wacked individual. Its so interesting to try to figure out what made a person form into someone living outside what's seemingly normal. But these days, who knows what's normal. Ill tell you this, the criminal in this story is not.

As Amelia Storm, Special FBI Agent, settles into her new department of Violent Crimes Division, she & her partners are dealt with a horrific killer that leaves influencer women victims disfigured with acid. The dark web antagonizes the killer, making it harder to single out the murderer. This book is a whirlwind ride that won't disappoint!

another horrific serial killer

Readable, although the misogynistic serial killer trope had a limited range.

The homicides are only a means to an end; however, the protagonist/perpetrator’s reason for choice of targets living with others wasn’t clear, unless I missed a plot point.

Storm's Burn is the twelfth book in the Amelia Storm series by Mary Stone. Amelia is assigned to solve a case where female bloggers are having their faces disfigured by nitric acid and other residents of their home are being killed.

This book is full of mystery and suspense and I would highly recommend it.

Scarred

Special Agent, Amelia Storm now works in the Violent Crimes Division of the FBI. She finds herself involved in a gruesome case where the killer disfigures the victim and murders their friends and family. Who is this self righteous person doing the killings and disfiguring the victim? Will Amelia and her team find the killer before anyone else is harmed or killed?

Storm’s Burn shows the psychotic mind of the killer. It has plenty of drama, action and horror to keep you interested until the end of the book.

What happens when you find someone with a positive message for women and think she is taking a place in society away from men and needs to be punished? You get friends and family killed and acid thrown in your face. Amelia and her team are on the heals of this religious fanatic with an ax to grind. Plenty of action in the newest installment of the Amelia Storm series.

Storm's Burn

Working with Layton, Sherry and Dean, Amelia chases down a hyper religious psychopath that is teaching young female influencers a lesson in being subservient to the male head of household by killing loved ones and pouring acid on their face. He escalates and makes mistakes which leads to his downfall. Great story!!

Words are often twisted

Those twisted words can lead to pain and suffering and death of innocents. The perpetrator is so positive his beliefs are the right ones! They are often in plain sight but will he be found before more are hurt or innocents end up dead?

Narcissism at its worst

Crazy story about the instability of someone’s mind. It’s very interesting to see the impact of development from childhood, as it unfolds into adulthood. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Head Of The Family

Interesting story. I wondered why the kids in his study class at the church didn't tell their parents what he was preaching. What a horrible thing to do to someone.

I noticed the killer referencing his father’s life insurance money funding his killing spree but letter he said his father died at home and he buried him in the backyard, minus the head. How can you claim insurance without a death certificate?

Never underestimate the power of good over evil

It was interesting about the criminals justification in choosing his victims. His relationship with his father was a bit disturbing, but fit into his delusions.
